Purpose: There has not been any reports of Ralstonia paucula causing any ophthalmologic disease. However, we have detected Ralstonia paucula in the lens washing agents of a corneal ulcer patient wearing contact lens. Methods: A 26-years-old female patient was admitted to our hospital complaining of loss of visual acuity and hyperemia. Slit lamp biomicroscopy and smear culture was done to the anterior segment of the eye and the lens cleansing agent. The patient was treated with antibiotic eye drop and intravenous antibiotic medication. Results: The results of both smear and culture showed the presence of Ralstonia pacula and responded well to antibiotics treatment with ceftazidime.

Purpose: This study evaluated the effect of tissue plasminogen activator (TPA) on adhesion between the internal limiting membrane and the vitreous cortex in patients with diabetic macular edema. Methods: This retrospective study included 14 eyes of 14 patients with diabetic macular edema without posterior vitreous detachment. The fourteen eyes were divided into two groups. In the first group, vitrectomy and internal limiting membrane (ILM) removal were performed after intravitreal TPA 0.1 cc (50 ug) injection the day before vitrectomy and in the second group, vitrectomy and ILM removal were performed without previous injection of TPA. We observed the ILM using electron microscopy and verified the effects of the TPA. Results: Spontaneous posterior vitreous detachment occurred in 3 of 7 eyes in the first group. Internal limiting membranes removed by vitrectomy showed a smooth surface in 4 of 7 eyes in the first group and in 1 of 7 eyes in the second group. Seven eyes of the first group and 6 eyes of the second group revealed decreased foveal thickness and increased visual acuity 90 days postoperatively. Conclusions: Preoperative intravitreal TPA injection was helpful for achieving posterior vitreous detachment and for decreasing possible postoperative complications involving in remnant vitreous cortex in patients with diabetic macular edema. In this paper, we present a design, fabrication and performance test of the novel DoD metal-jet injector for application to the high-density and high-temperature-melting materials. We design the gap adjustable DoD injector for controlling the size, speed and direction of the ejected metal droplets. The effect of design parameters on droplet size was analyzed. Fabricated gap adjustable injector ejects the D.I. water microdroplets whose measured volume is 7.23nl with the 4.8m/sec velocity through the 50㎛-diameter nozzle. Also the injector print the metal microdots, whose diameter is about 600㎛, on the glass at the chamber temperature of 200℃. Consequently, present novel metal-jet injector has a potential to applications for the fabrication of the low-cost fabrication of the electronic devices.
Micro On-Off Valve 해석에 의한 최적 설계

Micro On-Off valves are currently recognized as the core technology in the fields of the micro fluid chip for medical applications and production lines of semi-conduct chip. Micro valves that operate by compressed air need the high-speed responsibility, repeatability, the absorbability and the uniform pressure by the poppet. In this study, Micro On-Off valves that posses the high-speed responsibility and the high rate of flow have designed and analyzed through the law of equivalent magnetic circuit and Finite Element Method (FEM) respectively. In case of poppet, Flow field characteristic was analyzed by the variation of poppet and it was able to display flow field by changing the location of the poppet. Also, we verified possibility of the design through the static and dynamic pressure and the 3D distribution curve of the force by working the front poppet.

In the pneumatic system, pneumatic cylinder is wildly used to reciprocation and rotating movement. The uneasiness element of system is collision of piston, end-cap, head cap and tube when piston is<br/> loading. This has a short life of cylinder and is due to system destruction. We are applied to adhering with the cushion sleeve at the piston.<br/> At this pneumatic cushion cylinder, it is important to researching for cushion chamber characteristics of cushioning pressure and force. This study examines the dynamic characteristics of pneumatic cushioning cylinder and cushion sleeve desi후. At head part cushion chamber for the vertical experimental, The decisions of cushioning effect and the results of the experimental research are obtained to the followings:<br/> i ) The cushioning effects could acquire to the research, if the compressible energy is more than kinetic ones.<br/> ii) The collision of piston and head cover could acquire to the research, if the kinetic energy is more than compressible ones.<br/> iii) If the load increase to the rolling car, the cushion region pressures would increase and the dynamic force.
