        Capillary Rheometer를 이용한 숙성시간 및 함수율 변화 도자소지의 가소성평가

        Plasticity is the ability of clay to respond to pressure with a continuous and permanent change of shape in any direction without breaking apart, and hold that shape when released. In this work, the effect of water content and aging period on the plasticity of porcelain clay was evaluated using the capillary rheometer to measure the flow rate and the shear stress. The shear stress of porcelain clay was slightly increased with increasing the aging period, indicating that the plasticity of porcelain clay was influenced by an organic content. It was also observed that the water content in the porcelain clay had a great influence on the plasticity of porcelain clay. The shear stress with water content of 21 wt% was sharply increased with increasing shear rate, but the shear stresses with water contents of 24 and 27 wt% is gently incremented.

        유리질 중공체 GHM(Glass Hollow Microsphere)을 활용한 자기의 경량화

        The pore generation technology using GHM (Glass Hollow Microsphere) was studied in order to reduce the weights of porcelain. In this study, we verify the property of modified slurry by adding GHM. The modified slurry was prepared by adding 1.0~2.5 wt%(K1), 1.0~6.0 wt%(K37) of GHM to the slurry for porcelain. The slurry viscosity were stable inside a content range of 1.0~2.5 wt%(K1), 1.0~6.0 wt%(K37). However, the viscosity of modified slurry increased more than 3.0 wt%(K1) and 6.5 wt%(K37). The formed specimen by slip casting was fired at $1229^{\circ}C$, $1254^{\circ}C$. As the amount of GHM content increased, the weight decreased and the addition of 1.0~2.5 wt%(K1), 1.0~6.0 wt%(K37) of GHM resulted in a weight drop of 30%(K1) and 25(K37). However, when the GHM content increased, the strength decreases over 70%. This is caused by the presence of a large volume of surface defects (pores) and defects from the agglomeration of GHM.

        COVID-19 유행 시 상급종합병원 간호사들의 소진에 영향을 미치는 요인

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine burnout and its related factors among nurses working at a tertiary hospital, who had experienced caring for patients with confirmed and suspected coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), including those with severe and critical conditions during the outbreak. Methods: Responses of 129 nurses, who worked in a tertiary hospital in Daegu, which was designated as a special control area for infectious disease in Korea, were analyzed. Data were collected from November 1, 2020 to December 14, 2020 using self-report questionnaires. Analysis was performed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Burnout did not show any statistically significant differences in age, sex, marital status, total length of clinical experience, and the department at the time of caring for COVID-19 patients. Compassion fatigue, stress, depression, and anxiety were positively related with burnout, and compassion satisfaction was negatively related with burnout. In regression analysis, compassion satisfaction, compassion fatigue, and stress were confirmed as the predictive factors of burnout. Conclusion: The study results suggest that compassion satisfaction, compassion fatigue, and stress could play an important role in reducing burnout among tertiary hospital nurses during infectious disease outbreaks.

        Hypertriglyceridemia is a rare cause of pancreatitis in pregnancy. Pregnancy is related with hypertriglyceridemia especially in the 3rd trimester due to increase of estrogen. Diabetes is known as a common cause of secondary lipid metabolism disorder and is often associated with hypertriglyceridemia. Shock and sepsis related to pancreatitis in pregnancy result in a relatively high morbidity and mortality rate for both the mother and the fetus. Hypertriglyceridemic pancreatitis complicated in gestational diabetes has not previously been reported. We report a case of 26(+4) weeks gestational aged primigravida with acute pancreatitis induced by hypertriglyceridemia in gestational diabetes. We reviewed the clinical courses and treatments of acute pancreatitis in pregnancy with the literatures.

        한국 정상 노인층의 삼킴장애지수와 후두 기능에 따른 삼킴 특성

        Larynx plays an important role in phonation and protection of the respiratory tract during swallowing. The reduced anatomical and physiological function in elevation of larynx and glottis closure can cause problems in voice and swallowing. The present study investigated the Korean version of handicap index of dysphagia in elderly Koreans. Therefore, 60 normal elderly Koreans ranged from 65 to 95 and 20 normal Korean young adults aged from 20 to 25 were participated in this study to compare total (T), physical (P), functional (F), and emotional (E) index scores between two groups as well as among sub groups (60s, 70s, 80s) in elderly. For swallowing, total and sub dysphagia handicap index (DHI) scores, voice quality during /a/phonation following swallowing (saliva and water), intensity of coughing, and L-DDK were measured. The results showed that functional (P), physical (P), emotional (E) scores as well as total (T) score were significantly different between young adults and old adults in DHI(p<.05). Additionally, there was a negative correlation between total DHI score and intensity of coughing (r=-.51) as well as L-DDK (r=-.70). These findings suggest that a slow rate in vocal fold adduction and reduced intensity of coughing in the elderly affect swallowing function. Thus, recently translated Korean version of DHI may be useful as supplement in evaluating the swallowing problems in elderly people.

        반회후두신경 손상을 동반하지 않은 갑상선 절제술 환자에서 수술 초기의 음성 및 연하 기능의 변화에 대한 분석

        Background and Objectives : After thyroidectomy, many patients experience problems report such things as reduced voice range and vocal fatigue, swallowing problems without superior and recurrent laryngeal nerve injury. The purpose of this study was to evaluate voice and swallowing problems before and after thyroid surgery without laryngeal nerve injury. Materials and Methods : Ninety-three patients who underwent thyroidectomy without laryngeal nerve injury and completed the follow-up evaluations were studied between June 2013 and December 2015. Each evaluation was performed preoperatively, as well as 1 week, 1 month postoperatively. Analysis was performed including voice handicap index (VHI), dysphagia handicap index (DHI), and acoustic voice analysis. Results : Patients show significant variation of parameters in the fundamental frequency (F), maximal phonation time (MPT), shimmer, jitter and soft phonation index (SPI) early after operation, and most of them showed recovery of parameters after 1month of operation. Perceptive complaint of voice and swallowing also showed significant decreased after operation (p<0.005). After 1month of operation, MPT, highest frequency and frequency ranges still showed significant decreased parameters. Comparing acoustic and perceptive parameters of total thyroidectomy and lobectomy, there was no significant changes between them except highest frequency (p=0.042). Conclusion : The results from both subjective and objective evaluations show voice and swallowing disturbance after thyroidectomy even in the absence of laryngeal nerve and provide patients information about the recovery process after surgery. Highest frequency parameter showed most significant changes after operation.

        다중 중합효소 연쇄반응을 이용한 소의 Johne병 진단 기법 확립

        반추수에서 발생하는 Johne병의 조기 진단 방법을 제시하고 이 질병의 원인체와 미생물학적 특징이 유사한 M. bovis, M. avium 등의 mycobacteria 감염증을 감별 진단하는 방법을 개발하기 위하여 Mycobacterium 균속의 표준균주를 사용하여 중합효소 연쇄반응을 확립하였다. Johne병으로 의심되는 소의 혈액과 유즙을 채취하여 분리한 단핵구 및 거식세포로부터 genomic DNA를 추출하였다. 각 시료로부터 추출한 DNA를 template로 이용하여 Mycobacterium spp.에 특이적인 16S rDNA primer set를 이용한 PCR을 수행하여 시료내의 mycobacterial DNA 보유 여부를 확인하였다. 한편 mycobacteria 양성으로 확인된 시료는 M. avium complex 균종에 특이한 16S rDNA 염기서열을 기초로 하여 제작한 primer set와 M. paratuberculosis의 IS900 sequence에 특이한 primer set를 이용하여 duplex PCR을 수행하여 Johne병 원인체의 보균 여부를 조사하였으며, 이 결과를 oligonucleotide probe를 사용한 Southern blot hybridization을 통하여 다시 확인하였다. 이와 같은 duplex PCR 기법을 실제 축산 현장에서 수집한 유즙과 말초혈액으로부터 분리한 단핵구 및 거식세포 시료에 적용한 결과 본 연구에서 확립한 duplex PCR 기법 유용성을 확인할 수 있었다. In order to improve the early diagnosis of Johne's disease in ruminants, duplex polymerase chain reaction system for the detection of the etiologic agent of M. paratuberculosis and for the differentiation of other mycobacterial animal pathogens, such as M. bovis and M. avium, was applied. Genomic DNAs were purified from peripheral blood monocytes or milk macrophages and were used as templates in the duplex PCR. Detection of Mycobacterium spp. in the specimen was carried out by PCR using primer set specific to the mycobacterial 16S rDNA. And then, mycobacterial DNA-positive specimens were further differentiated with duplex PCR system which was composed of primer sets specific to 16S rDNA of M. avium complex and IS900 gene of M. paratuberculosis. The results were re-confirmed by Southern blot hybridization with oligonucleotide specific to the internal sequence of IS900 PCR amplicons. The applicability of this duplex PCR system was evaluated with DNAs extracted from clinical specimens of peripheral blood monocytes and milk macrophages. In summary, the duplex PCR amplification system described in this experiment is promising molecular technique for the early diagnosis of Johne's disease in ruminants.

        납석으로 카올린을 대체한 도자기 소지의 뮬라이트 형성과 특성

        Mullite formation in a porcelain body was promoted extensively by replacing kaolinite with pyrophyllite. Effects of mullite formation and vitrification by substitution of kaolinite with pyrophyllite on the mechanical and thermal properties were investigated. Addition of 45-55% pyrophyllite (pyrophyllite (45-55%)-feldspar (30%)-Gairome clay (20%)) could vitrify the sintered samples (water absorption : 0.05%, bulk density : 2.66g/cc) and improve the flexural strength (122MPa) when fired at $1280^{\circ}C$. Mullite formation was found to be decreased with increasing content of pyrophyllite. On the contrary, beyond 50% of pyrophyllite quartz and cristobalite phases was found to be increased. Thermal expansion coefficient of the samples decreased with increase of mullite phase. In triaxial system of pyrophyllite-feldspar-clay, the mullite formation of the samples with 50% pyrophyllite reaches about 78.7% and thermal expansion coefficient was found to be $5.4{\times}10^{-6}/K$.

        다중 중합효소 연쇄반응을 이용한 반코마이신 내성 장구균의 신속 검출

        일반적으로 임상검사실에서 vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE)를 검출하는 일은 어렵고, 시간이 많이 들며, 검체처리 비용도 많이 든다. 따라서 본 실험은 임상검체에서 분리된 세균으로부터 VRE를 신속하게 확인하고, 진단하기 위한 방법으로서 다중 중합효소 연쇄반응을 확립하였다. 본 실험에 사용된 primer는 장구균에 특이한 유전자인 vanA, vnaB vnaC-1, vanC-⅔ 각각의 염기서열을 기초로 primer를 제작하고, 다중 중합효소 연쇄반응을 실시하여 임상검체로부터 분리된 VRE 유전자의 type 및 분포율을 조사하고자 하였다. 국내에서 분리된 75주의 장구균을 대상으로 다중 중합효소 연쇄반응을 실시한 결과 36주의 분리균주에서 vancomycin에 대해 높은 저항성을 보이는 vanA 유전자를 가진 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 18주에서는 vancomycin에 낮은 저항성을 내성을 보이는 vanC-1 또는 vanC-⅔ 유전자를 보유한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 실험에서 확립한 다중 중합효소 연쇄반응 기법은 신속한 VRE 진단 방법으로 이용할 수 있을 것이다. It is generally difficult, time-consuming, and expensive for the clinical laboratory to detect vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE). The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate the multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay system as a diagnostic tool for the rapid detection of VRE from clinical samples and/or for the identification of VRE from the bacterial strains isolated from clinical specimens. Specific primers, designed from the nucleotide sequences respectively encoding the vanA, vanB, vanC-1, vanC-⅔ genes in enterococci, were coupled in a multiplex PCR assay system. With this multiplex PCR assay system, we investigated the incidence rates and types of VRE isolated from clinical samples. A total of 75 strains of enterococci were isolated in 3 general hospitals in Korea. Of these isolates, 36 strains showed a pattern of high-level vancomycin resistance which associated with vanA gene, whereas 18 strains showed low-level vancomycin resistance associated with vanC-1 or vanC-⅔ gene. Thus, multiplex PCR assay method established in this study could be applied for the rapid detection of VRE.
