古代 이름에 대한 考察

고대의 국명(國名), 지명(地名), 인명(人名) 등이 현재까지도 전해지고 있으나, 그 뜻을 모른 채 사용하고 있다. 특히 당시에 문자(文字)가 없었기에 중국의 한자를 빌려 뜻으로 변형시키거나, 소리 나는 데로 표기(表記)하였다. 신라(新羅)의 설총(薛聰)은 이두문(吏讀文)을 만들어 한자를 빌어 우리말을 표기하고자 하였다. 중국과 우리는 언어체계가 다르다. 우리나라와 일본, 그리고 몽골 등은 언어체계가 비슷하나, 중국은 오히려 영어권과 흡사하다. 고대 우리나라는 고유의 언어체계가 있었을 것이고, 한자를 빌려 표기하였을 것이다. 그리고 우리의 언어체계를 모르는 중국인들은 자의적(自意的)으로 뜻을 부여하거나 또는 원래의 뜻과 다르게 표기하였다. 그것이 현재에 전해지고 있다. 이 글은 고대 국가 이름이나 땅 이름, 사람의 이름에 숨은 뜻을 밝혀 우리말의 본래 어원(語源)을 찾고자 시작하였다. 우리의 조상들은 태양숭배(太陽崇拜)사상이 있어서 나라이름이나 인명(人名), 지명(地名) 등에 ‘해’를 넣기를 좋아했다. 해는 만물의 생장(生長)에 필수적인 존재이고 온 세상을 밝게 비추어 어두움을 사라지게 하므로 진작부터 종교적 대상이 되었다. 그러므로 고대(古代)로 올라갈수록 ‘해’는 종교적 숭배의 대상이 되었고 권위의 상징이 되었다. 특히 지형적으로 해가 뜨는 동쪽에 위치한 우리나라를 감안하면 ‘해’를 나라의 상징으로 삼고 지명이나 사람 이름에 ‘해’를 넣은 것은 어쩌면 자연스런 현상일 것이다. The names of ancient countries, regions, and persons are known to date, but are used without knowledge of their meaning. Particularly, Chinese letters were adopted and altered in a way suited for the meaning in Korean language or written as they sounded because Korea did not have characters at that time. Seolchong of Silla created Idu character, a writing system that represented the Korean language using the Chinese letters. Korea has the linguistic system different from that of China. Korean, Japanese, and Mongolian languages have similar system, but Chinese linguistic system is rather similar to that of English. Ancient Korea might have its own language system and would have adopted Chinese characters. And the Chinese who did not know the Korean language system assigned the meaning of each word arbitrarily or write the characters differently from the original meaning. It has been passed down to the present. This study was intended to examine the original etymology of Korean language by finding the hidden meaning of names of ancient country, land, and people. Our ancestors liked to add the sun to the name of the country, region, and person as they worshipped the sun. The sun is essential for the growth of all things and brings light to whole world to dispel darkness, and therefore has been the subject of religion since long before. Thus, sun became the subject of religious worship and a symbol of authority in ancient times. Considering that Korea is located in the east where the sun rises topographically, it may be natural for Koreans to use "the sun" as the symbol of the country and insert the "sun" in the names of regions or people.

Nonlinear time history analysis (NTHA) has become a considerable option for seismic design. For complex and irregular structures, a NTHA derives realistic displacement that leads to efficient seismic design. However, regions without sufficient earthquake records face issues when determining which earthquake is most suitable for their site condition. In this study, a selection method for design ground motion used in the nonlinear time history analysis was developed by correlating the fundamental period of buildings and the mean period of ground motions. From existing literature, the relationship between the maximum displacement and the fundamental period normalized to the mean period was determined. A total of 200 NTHA was performed to establish the relationship of reinforced concrete (RC) piloti-type structures by statistically correlating them between the fundamental period and the mean period with the maximum displacement. By statistical means from RC piloti structure’s NTHA distribution, the regression curve and the 70% confidence interval were derived. This correlation determined the period ratio range category where the earthquake’s NTHA displacements were compared to the pseudo displacement of the design spectrum method. For the suggested piloti prototype model, it was concluded that the period ratio of 0.75-1.5 was a category that could determine whether the earthquake’s NTHA displacement was greater or less than the linear elastic response spectrum method.

SiC 마이크로 히터가 내장된 극한 환경용 NO 센서의 제작과 특성

This paper describes the fabrication and characteristics of a NO sensor using ZnO thin film integrated 3C-SiC micro heater based on polycrystalline 3C-SiC thin film of operation in harsh environments. The sensitivity, response time, and operating properties in high temperature and voltages of NO sensors based SiC MEMS are measured and analyzed. The sensitivity of device with pure ZnO thin film at the heater operating power of 13.5 mW (300℃) is 0.875 in NO gas concentration of 0.046 ppm. In the case of Pt doping, the sensitivity of at power consumption of 5.9 mW (250℃) was 1.92 at same gas flow rate. The ZnO with doped Pt was showed higher sensitivity, lower working temperature and faster adsorption characteristics to NO gas than pure ZnO thin film. The NO gas sensor integrated SiC micro heater is more strength than others in high voltage and temperature environments.

Marjolin`s ulcer is a rare and often-aggressive cutaneous malignancy that arises in previously traumatized or chronically inflamed skin, particularly after burns. We experienced two cases after burns. Case I involved a forty eight year-old man who had suffered from a flame burn at the parietal scalp area, where had been initially described three years earlier as a full-thickness wound including the pericranium. The man consulted us for a persistent ulcerative and infected wound on the burned lesion during the last 24 months, which turned out on the contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to be the squamous cell carcinoma with involving the skull and the dura mater. Although the posterior auricular lymph node was enlarged on the ipsilateral side, recent positron emission tomography (PET) CT did not show any metastatic lesion. It was impossible for us to resect the intracranial involvement of the tumor radically, and the postoperative PET CT still showed a focal fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake around the wall of the superior sagittal sinus. We think that an aggressive combined approach is essential for treatment in early stages for a high success rate, before the intracranial structures are involved because there is no consensus on the treatment for advanced disease, and the results are generally poor. Case 1 also did not involve a radical resection because of the intracranial invasion to the wall of superior sagittal sinus and the possibility of damage to the major cortical veins. He received adjuvant radiotherapy and must be followed periodically. Case 2 involved an eighty six year-old women who suffered from a painful scalp ulcer lesion after flame burns three years earlier. Unlike case 1, neither tumor infiltration into the dura nor lymph node enlargement was observed on the contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or positron emission tomography (PET) CT. We did a radical resection of the tumor, including the involved bone, and a cranioplasty with bone cement. (J Korean Soc Traumatol 2007;20:52-56)

중첩 방식을 이용한 시계열 영상의 스테레오 정합 실험

본 논문에서는 CCTV 영상으로 조밀한 3차원 복원을 하기 위하여 스테레오 정합 과정으로 얻어지는 정합점을 증가시키기 위한 실험을 진행하였다. 실험에서는 시간의 경과에 따라 연속적으로 촬영된 스테레오 CCTV 영상에서 시계열별로 단영상을 추출한 뒤, SIFT 정합 알고리즘과 RANSAC 알고리즘을 적용하여 얻어진 정합점을 순차적으로 중첩하였으며, 결과적으로 정합점의 중첩과정이 반복될수록 정합점 수가 계속해서 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. In this study, experimented how to increase corresponding points which are obtained through stereo matching for dense 3D reconstruction. After extracting a snapshot image from the images acquired through stereo CCTVs, the matching points obtained using the SIFT matching and RANSAC procedure were gradually overlapped. In conclusion, it was confirmed that as images are overlapped, the number of matching points continues to grow.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of Korean Medicine on a patient having vertigo disease. Methods: The patient was treated with Korean medicine, including Bongnyeongbanha-tang (茯?半夏湯) and acupuncture, from October 3, 2015 to October 8, 2015. The Vertigo Score Scale and Numeric Rating Scale were assessed for evaluation. Results: After the treatment, the intensity of vertigo and nausea were decreased and the patient's walking and visual difficulties were improved. Conclusions: Korean Medicine treatment can relieve vertigo symptoms.
