There have been continuous efforts for developing the automatic mechanical design system to increase the efficiency of the tedious design process. However, these efforts have been concentrated on single platform application Hence, the developed system have been available only in a designated place and time and have been difficult to modify. In this study a web-design system is developed to offer more reliability and convenience without any restriction of time and place. The developed system is programmed based on Java, and the architecture of the system has object-oriented features of Servlet and JSP and is independent on any operating system. The developed system has been applied to the initial design of multi-stage gear drives, but as the framework of the developed system is however quite versatile, its application to automatic design of any mechanical system or evaluation can be easily expected.
‘3·1운동 및 대한민국 임시정부 100주년 특별전’ : 전시방법과 매체
권지연 대한민국역사박물관 2019 현대사와 박물관 Vol.2 No.-
Transcending Worldliness: A Wagtail by Lakeside by Jo Sok (1595-1668)
권지연 한국학중앙연구원 한국학중앙연구원 2017 THE REVIEW OF KOREAN STUDIES Vol.20 No.2
Cho Sok (1595-1668) remains an unmatched bird painter in ink of literati background from the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910). Today, over 57 paintings in private and public collections around the world bear the seal of his penname, Changgang. This article focuses on two newly surfaced wagtail paintings in ink in San Francisco, arguing that such depictions of solitary birds in ink actually form the mainstream of his bird paintings. While positioning them within the stylistic and iconographic framework of his known works, it also explores their possible meaning through the psychological lens of the artist and the historical context of the period. A witness to the major historical events in seventeenth-century Korea, one of the most tumultuous times in Korean history noted for factional politics and foreign invasions under the shifting paradigms of the East Asian world order, his bird paintings encapsulate, as symbols of his unspoken words, the abiding ideals of a disheartened Neo-Confucian scholar.

A detection system based on a multiplex reverse transcription (RT) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was developed to simultaneously identify multiple viruses in the lily plant. The most common viruses infecting lily plants are the cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), lily mottle virus (LMoV), lily symptomless virus (LSV). Leaf samples were collected at lily-cultivation facilities located in the Kangwon province of Korea and used to evaluate the detection system. Simplex and multiplex RT-PCR were performed using virus-specific primers to detect singleor mixed viral infections in lily plants. Our results demonstrate the selective detection of 3 different viruses (CMV, LMoV and LSV) by using specific primers as well as the potential of simultaneously detecting 2 or 3different viruses in lily plants with mixed infections. Three sets of primers for each target virus, and one set of internal control primers were used to evaluate the detection system for efficiency, reliability, and reproducibility.
High-throughput genetic screens using CRISPR–Cas9 system
권지연,김용섭 대한약학회 2018 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.41 No.9
The CRISPR–Cas9 system is a powerful tool for genome engineering, and its programmability and simplicity have enabled various types of gene manipulation such as gene disruption and transcriptional and epigenetic perturbation. Particularly, CRISPR-based pooled libraries facilitate high-throughput screening for functional regulatory elements in the human genome. In this review, we describe recent advances in CRISPR–Cas9 technology and its use in high-throughput genetic screening. We also discuss its potential for drug target discovery and current challenges of this technique in biomedical research.
