국제기능올림픽은 헤어패션 분야의 트렌드를 창조하는 매개체 중 하나이다. 이 대회의 작품들은 헤어패션에 많은 영향을 끼치며, 창의적인 작품들을 통해 이·미용이 예술의 한 분야로 자리매김 하는 데 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 대회의 작품들은 작품성을 나타내야하기 때문에 표현력이 다소 과장된 측면이 있지만, 대회 작품의 특징들을 연구해서 조금만 변화를 준다면 일상생활 속에 활용 가능한 헤어스타일로 재창조 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적으로는 국제기능올림픽대회의 이용부문 중 클래식 과제의 디자인을 분석 및 재창조하여 실생활에서 활용할 수 있는 헤어스타일을 제안하는 것이다. 연구방법으로는 최근 3회의 국제기능올림픽대회 이용부문의 클래식 과제 1위 입상작품을 헤어디자인의 기본 3요소인 형태, 질감, 컬러를 기준으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 대회 작품을 헤어스타일로서의 경쟁력과 상품으로서의 가능성을 가지기 위해 클래식 과제의 특징들을 모티브로 하여 3가지의 헤어스타일을 제작하였다. 이미지를 커트와 드라이, 손질과정으로 표현하면서 형상화 하였다. 헤어스타일은 얼굴, 의상과 함께 나의 개성을 표현하는 중요한 수단 중 하나이다. 대회 작품을 통한 헤어스타일개발로 헤어산업의 발전을 이루는데 힘을 실어줄 수 있으리라 기대한다. 추후 다양한 형태의 대회 작품을 연구하여 살롱에서 시술 가능한 남성 및 여성 헤어스타일의 연구가 활발히 진행되었으면 하는 바람으로 연구를 마친다. The World Skills is one of the mediums to create trends in a field of hair fashion. Entries of the competitions affect hair fashion a lot and are greatly contributing to the significance of beauty care as a professional field. Expressiveness can be exaggerated since the entries must present their value as pieces of work but once they make little changes in features, they will be re-created as acceptable everyday-life hairstyles. In this study, of beauty categories in the WorldSkills, designs of Classic tasks are analyzed and re-created, and offering hairstyles to be applied to daily life is the research purpose. As for research methods, the best Classic task entries in the three recent WorldSkills were investigated for the three basic hair design factors, form, texture and color. In the end, in order to add competitiveness and possibilities to the entries as hairstyles and products, the study designed three hairstyles based on features of the Classic tasks. Images took shapes in processes of cutting, coloring, blow-drying and trimming. Hairstyles including faces and costumes are good ways to express one’s personality. Development of hairstyles through entries in the competition will lead to growth of the hair industry. Men’s and women’s hairstyles that could be simply performed in salons will be actively discussed in follow-up researches on other various entries.
Impact of Urbanization on Recent Temperature and Precipitation Trends in the Korean Peninsula

Urbanization has a significant impact on climate in urban areas. In this study, we investigate urbanization impacts on temperature and precipitation trends in Korean peninsula based on statistical relationship between these trends and local population growth. We found that there is a significant positive correlation between temperature rise and local population growth, indicating that urbanization has a significant contribution to temperature increase in city climate. As for temperature, the population growth in Korean cities is positively correlated with precipitation trend. The positive correlation is higher during summer time when small-scale convective activity is dominant. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that the correlation is significantly increased when stations in rural areas and small cities are excluded. Such nonlinear relation between precipitation and urbanization is also discussed.

The interannual variability of the tropical Indian Ocean SST is investigated by analyzing the ocean assimilation data. It is significant that since 1970, ENSO events frequently followed the Indian Ocean Dipole event. The SST tendency due to the dynamical SST advections over the tropical Indian Ocean sufficiently overwhelms that due to other thermodynamic process during the fall and winter of ENSO. Especially, the strong cooling due to the anomalous vertical advection by the mean upwelling and the warming due to the horizontal advection are attributed to the cold SST during the fall and the warm SST during the winter, respectively. The significant warming between winter and spring over the southwestern Indian Ocean turns out to be due to the vertical advection of the mean subsurface temperature by the anomalous upwelling during the winter and the vertical advection of the anomalous subsurface temperature by the mean upwelling from winter to spring. We speculate that when the Indian Ocean Dipole events concurred with the ENSO, the surface wind is so strong enough as to generate the change in the SST dynamically and overwhelm the SST changes associated with other effects.
