연잎-연근 복합 발효물이 흰쥐의 내당능 및 지질대사 관련 유전자 발현에 미치는 영향

ObjectivesThis study was performed to evaluate the effects of fermented lotus extracts on prediabetes and hyperlipidemia in high fructose diet rats. MethodsExtracts of lotus leaf and lotus root were fermented using 4 different probiotics separately, including Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium breve, and Bifidobacterium longum. Expressions of adipogenic transcription factors includ-ing Adiponectin, GLUT-4, Leptin, PPAR gamma, Resistin and Visfatin were analyzed by Real time PCR and Western blotting analysis. ResultsFermented lotus extracts reduced blood glucose. Fermented lotus extracts in-hibited adipogenic transcription factors by inhibiting preadipocytes differentiation. The level of gene expression of Adiponectin, GLUT-4, Leptin, PPAR gamma, Resistin and Visfatin in relation to that of GAPDH were increase or decrease significantly with the Fermented lotus formulation group. ConclusionsFermented lotus extracts showed hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects by inhibiting preadipocyte differentiation and controlling insulin sensitivity in high fructose di-et rats. 삼정환(三精丸)이 고지방(高脂肪) 식이(食餌) 흰 쥐의 비만에 미치는 영향

Objectives: This study was performed to show the effects of Samjung-hwan (Sanjingwan) extract on obesity and lipid metabolism of rats fed high fat diet. Methods: Crushed Samjung-hwan(Sanjingwan) 245 g was extracted with methyl alcohol. The extract was evaporated under reduced pressure to give 21.8 g. 20 rats were divided into normal, control, and two test groups. For 6 weeks, The normal group rats were supplied with a normal diet. The control group rats were supplied with a high fat diet. The test group 1 rats were supplied with a high fat diet and Samjung-hwan(Sanjingwan) extract 250 mg/kg and the test group 2 rats were supplied witha high fat diet and Samjunghwan(Sanjingwan) extract 500 mg/kg. Results: 1) The control group rats showed significantly increased weight of peritoneal fat than the nornal group rats. The test group 1 rats did not show significant difference compare to the control group rats, and the test group 2 rats showed significantly decreased weight of peritoneal fat than the control group rats. 2) The control group rats showed significantly increased triglyceride than the nornal group rats. The test group 1 rats showed significantly decreased triglyceride than the control group rats, and the test group 2 rats showed significantly decreased triglyceride than the control group rats. 3) The control group rats showed significantly increased LDL-cholesterol than the nornal group rats. The test group 1 rats showed significantly decreased LDL-cholesterol than the control group rats, and the test group 2 rats did not show significant difference compare to the control group rats. Conclusions: These results suggest that effectiveness of Samjung-hwan(Sanjingwan) extract to control the obesity and abnormal lipid metabolism caused by a high fat diet.
『東醫寶鑑』十種頭痛을 중심으로 한 두통 처방의 轉寫에 대한 연구

Objectives: The purpose of this literature review was to clarify the procedure of historical changes centered on medications of 10 kinds of headache in 『Donguibogam』(東醫寶鑑). Methods: We searched the database-China Academic Journals (CAJ). For papers published since 2007-2011, which are classified in categories. Results: 1. By searching medications of 10 kinds of headache in 『Donguibogam』(東醫寶鑑), 32 prescriptions were selected. 2. We reviewed the books, which is clarified as the reference of the aforementioned 32 prescriptions in 『Donguibogam』(東醫寶鑑). 3. 31 books mentioned in head part of 『Uibujeonrok』(醫部全錄) were also selected as the reference, and we searched the aforementioned 32 prescriptions in the former 31 books. Conclusions: 1. The herb medications of 10 kinds of headache in 『Donguibogam』(東醫寶鑑) were mostly affected by 『Seuideukhyobang』(世醫得效方). 2. 21 prescriptions among 32 prescriptions in 『Donguibogam』 were directly quoted from the books that the prescriptions were firstly appeared and 11 prescriptions among the 32 prescriptions were re-quoted from other books that succeeded the source books. 3. We suspect that the components, dosages of the herb medications of headache in chapter Du(頭) of 『Donguibogam』 were revised, according to the author`s clinical experience and circumstances. 4. Cheon-gungdajo-san(川芎茶調散) was the most cited prescription in medical books. A total of 12 books were recorded from 『Hwajegukbang(和劑局方)』to 『Donguibogam(東醫寶鑑)』.

The present study was performed to investigate the sedative effects of the combined administration of phenolic compounds. 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde, a component of Gastrodia elnta, showing positive GABAergic neuromodulation was administered intraperitoneally together with an identical dose of 2,3-dihydroxybenzaldehyde, a potent antioxidant, to the rats and then evaluated for its effects on the convulsion, the hypnosis, the inxiety and the muscle relaxation. Combined administration of both compounds significantly reduced the pentyleneterazole-induced lethality. In addition, this mixture significantly enhanced the pentobarbital-induced sleeping time. Contrary to the anticonvulsive and sedative effects, the combined administration did not exhibit anxiolytic or muscle relaxant activities. These results indicated that the combined treatment of 2,3-dihydroxybenzaldehtyde and 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde with different effects leads to the anticonvulsion and/or sedation 페놀성 화합물들의 병용투여가 rat의 진정효과에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 천마성분으로서 positive GABAergic neuromodulation을 보이는 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde와 강력한 항산화물질인 2,3-dihydroxlrbenzaldehyde를 동량 투여한 결과, pentyleneterazole에 의해 유발된 사망률이 유의하게 감소되었으며 pentobarbital에 의해 유도된 수면시간은 유의하게 연장되었으나 항불안효과와 근육이완효과는 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 결과로 보아 항경련효과를 가진 화합물과 항산화 효과를 가진 화합물을 병용투여 함으로서 경련이나 불면 등의 신경증상을 효과적으로 억제할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Objectives: This study was performed to develop Hwabyung clinical guideline. Acupuncture, moxibustion, negative therapy and psychotherapy were selected, and herbal therapy was excluded in this study. Methods: 27 questions were composed to investigate nonherbal therapy of Hwabyung. They were answered by the experts. They are the professors of oriental neuropsychiatry in Korea. Results and Conclusions: Most experts use acupuncture mainly in treating Hwabyung. They think that acupuncture therapy is needed by all means. Moxibustion, negative therapy and psychotherapy are also utilized mainly or partially to treat Hwabyung. Moxibustion and negative therapy are usually done for somatic symptoms, and psychotherapy is for mental symptoms.
