The World Council of Churches 10th Assembly in Busan proposes its theme, saying "God of life, lead us to justice and peace." It reminds churches of injustice and violence caused by globalizing human civilization. Churches are called to address such injustice and violence. From its very inception, unfortunately, the church has been a leviathan, that is, a violator of justice and peace, justifying teleological suspension of the ethical. Whenever they justify telos of Christian faith, churches infringe rights of believers or non?believers. Churches emphasize voluntary service in promoting justice and peace. Consid- ering that the church is a leviathan, voluntary service is unable to promote justice. Instead, as a leviathan, the church needs an alarm bell in order to harness its abuse of power whenever it brings forth teleological suspension of the ethical. Human rights is an alarm bell for churches. While human rights discourse is crucial in preventing churches from violating basic rights of both believers and non- believers, churches should avoid equating reconstruction of the church with full embodiment of human rights since such equation ends up with the ethical suspension of the ethical. Instead, churches should work toward justice and peace through ethical reconsideration of the teleological in such a way to protect basic human rights of believers and non-believers. Specifically, churches needs to be sensi- tive to the ringing bell, alarming undemocratic way of decision mak- ing process, infringement of the minority rights within and without churches, and abuse of power by the church leadership to its staff members.

실낙원에서 복낙원으로의 귀환: 인공지능과 노동, 그리고 기본 소득

이 논문은 인공지능에 의해 효율성과 생산성이 극대화하는 자동화 사회에서 일자리가 감소되고, 양극화가 심화될 때, 하나님 나라의 실현, 즉 회복된 낙원을 어떻게 구현할 수 있을지를 논의한다. 본고는 과학기술에 대한 전면적 부정이 아니라 과학 기술의 발전을 기독교 신앙의 오래된 약속, 즉 복락원을 실현할 수 있는 계기로 삼아야 함을 강조한다. 인공지능의 시대에 모든 분야에서 자동화가 진행·심화되면서 인간의 일자리가 줄어들고, 양극화가 확대될 때, 노동자들은 경제적 고통과 더불어, 정치 참여의 의지와 기회가 축소되고, 자신과 타인을 물화시키며 인간 존재의 가치를 부정할 위험성이 크다. 인공지능과 자동화가 초래하는 실업과 양극화, 그리고 그에 수반된 인간 가치의 하락을 고려할 때, 본고는 노동에 대한 근원적인 재개념화가 필요하며, 기독교적 개념으로는 실낙원의 저주받은 노동에서 복락원의 창조적 노동으로 전환이 필요하며, 유급 노동만이 유의미한 노동처럼 여겨지는 현 시대에 관심과 돌봄의 무급 노동의 가치와 중요성을 발견하고 지향해야 한다고 주장한다. 이 노동의 변혁적 이해는 기본 소득의 바탕 위에 정립 가능하다. 기본 소득을 통해서 무급 노동을 주변화시키는 유급 노동 중심의 사회를 관계와 돌봄을 추구하는 무급 노동 중심의 사회로 만들어갈 수 있기 때문이다. 이러한 방향으로 인공지능의 시대를 대처하면 기독교는 실낙원에서 복락원으로의 귀환이라는 새로운 희망과 변혁적 시야를 사회에 제시할 수 있을 것이다. This article deals with ways in which we can realize the kingdom of God, that is, Paradise Regained, in a world in which unemployment rises and social polarization deepens and in which society is automated by systems where artificial intelligence maximizes efficiency and productivity. I contend that the development of science and technology can be a medium to realize the age-old promise of Christian faith, rather than be a stumbling block thereof. Having experienced lay-offs and social polarization, people are prone to objectify others, deny the value of human existence, and lose the will to participate in politics. Considering the rising unemployment and increasing social polarization which artificial intelligence and automation bring, we need to reconceptualize labor in a radical way. It is a transition from the labor of Paradise Lost to that of Paradise Regained. While we have regarded paid work as the only meaningful labor, in an age of artificial intelligence we need to place a high value on unpaid work of care. This radical understanding of labor is possible through basic income which provides everyone with a living wage. Transforming a society of paid work to that of unpaid work of care, we can prepare a way to return from Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained in the coming age of artificial intelligence.

신천학살을 통해 본 이념적 타자를 향한 한국 기독교의 폭력성에 대한 기독교윤리적 고찰

신천학살에서 기독교인들은 공산주의자들과 무고한 양민들을 학살했다. 하나님 사랑과 원수 사랑을 실천해야 할 기독교인들이 무죄한 양민들을 학살했다는 것은 한국 기독교 역사에서 깊이 성찰해야 할 사안이다. 신천학살에서 기독교인들은 폭력을 명령하는 성서구절을 인용하고 자의적으로 성서구절을 해석하며 공산주의자들과 가족들을 악마와 동일시하면서 학살을 정당화했다. 폭력을 정당화하는데 사용된 공산주의의 악마화는 한국기독교가 교회의 교육에서 당연시하며 가르쳐온 내용이었다. 한국의 기독교인들은 공산주의를 붉은 용, 사탄, 악마, 리바이어던 등과 동일시했고, 그 결과는 기독교인들의 학살 참여로 연결되었다. 그러나 처음부터 기독교가 공산주의와 양립할 수 없었던 것은 아니다. 초기 기독교지도자들은 기독교와 공산주의가 공존할 수 있을 것으로 보았다. 그러나 1932년 사회신조, 1946년 3·1절 기념행사와 11·3 선거에서 공산당과 갈등을 심화시키면서 기독교는 공산당과 화해할 수 없는 길을 걷게 되고, 반공주의를 심화시켰다. 공산주의의 악마화까지 연결되는 반공주의의 이면에는 기독교의 계급주의에 대한 숨겨진 편견이 담겨 있다. 숨겨진 계급주의는 반공주의로 포장되었고, 기독교의 폭력성을 정당화했다. 기독교의 이념적 타자에 대한 폭력은 계급적 타자에 대한 편견과 무관심에 의해 비롯된 것이다. 한국기독교는 이념을 초월하는 기독교와 더불어 계급을 초월하는 기독교를 추구해야 한다. 이념을 극복하고 계급 갈등의 해소에 깊은 관심을 기울일 때, 기독교는 폭력성을 극복할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로 한국기독교는 이념적 타자에 대한 포용성과 함께 계급적 타자에 대한 포용성이 필요하다. It is undeniable that Christians participated in Shinchon massacre of the communists and innocent people during the Korea War. Though Christians are called to practice God’s love toward their enemies, the fact that Christians slaughtered innocent people is a matter of grave concern for Korean Christianity. In the massacre, Christians justified the mass slaughter by quoting Bible verses that commanded violence, interpreting Bible verses arbitrarily, and identifying communists and their families with the devil. The demonization of communists to justify violence was first proposed and propagated by Korean Christian leaders who expressed and spread anti-communism to Korean people. Korean Christian leaders identified communists with red dragons, Satan, demons, Leviathan, and the like. Such identification opened the way for Christians to justify the massacre. While Korean church focused exclusively on anti-communism, which led to the demonization of communism, justifying her downright rejection of communism, she hid prejudice against the classism of Christianity, expressing blatant discrimination against the lower class. Christian violence against ideological others was actually violence against the lower class. In order to be a non-violent agent, Korean Christianity need to overcome ideological prejudice and classism. More specifically, the Korean church needs to be inclusive to the underprivileged other as well as the ideological other.

교회는 타자를 위해서 존재한다. 절대적 타자인 하나님과 자기 자신이 아닌 존재인 타자들을 위해 존재하도록 부름을 받았다. 타자를 위한 존재로서의 교회는 자기 과시성이나 자기만족을 지양하고 타자를 환대하고 타자를 위해 개방된 공간을 구성하도록 노력해야 한다. 교회 안팎의 타자들, 즉 일반 시민, 사회적 약자, 장애인, 여성, 죽은 자, 생태계의 보존 등을 배려한 공간 배정과 건축이 필요하다. 일반 시민들을 위해서는 벽을 낮춘 교회 혹은 벽을 허문 교회가 필요하고, 노숙인들과 가출청 소년들을 위한 공간도 추진해야 하고, 장애인들에게는 휠체어로 아무런 거리낌 없이 주차하고, 보행하고, 예배드리고, 친교할 수 있는 공간 구조가 필요하며, 여성들에게는 친교와 봉사를 남성들과 함께 할 수 있도록 친교실과 주방의 배치와 수유실을 따로 갖춘 자모실, 확장된 화장실 등이 필요하고, 생태계의 보존을 위해서는 기후 변화의 시대에 에너지 절약을 최대한 할 수 있는 방향의 건축이나 일반 건물의 공유 등이 필요하며, 죽은 자를 위해서는 납골당의 설치와 무연고자도 납골당을 사용할 수 있도록 개방되어야 한다. 언급된 타자의 목록이나 타자에게 필요한 공간 등은 더 많은 대화를 통해 확장되고 확대되어야 한다. 타자에 대한 배려와 관심은 교회 공간을 통해서 구체화되어야 하며 이러한 교회의 노력은 타자를 향한 교회의 사랑이 공간을 통해 구조화될 때 결실을 맺게 될 것이다. The church exists for the other. It is called to exist for God, the Absolute Other, and the others who are not themselves a part of the church. As a being for the other, the church should avoid selfishness or self-satisfaction, in order to welcome the other and create an open and safe space for the other. The church needs to work toward allocating and creating space for the others within the church: ordinary citizens, the socially underprivileged, the differently-abled, women, the dead and those grieving them, and the vulnerable nonhumans in an ecosystem. The church should provide homeless people and runaway teens with a welcoming and safe space, and the differently-abled with spacious parking spots. They should work to make the worship space comfortable and friendly with wide corridors for the unhindered movement of wheelchairs, and provide female members with a kitchen directly connected to a community room, a nursing room separated from a breast-feeding room, and more toilets compared to male ones. In the age of climate change, it is necessary to build energy efficient buildings to reduce greenhouse gases. For the dead, the ossuary, which is open to nonmembers, should be installed in and around the church. The mentioned list of the others, or the specified space for the others, should be expanded through more lively discussions. The church space is the show-and-tell of the consideration and concern for the other for whom God’s love is substantiated and materially structured in the world.

EGR이 LPLi 엔진 성능 및 배기 배출물에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

Recently, LPG has been considered as more environmental friendly fuel than liquid fuels for vehicles, However because LPLi engine has the strong point that not only increases the volumetric efficiency and cold startability, but also decreases unburned hydrocarbon exhaust emission in warm-up condition much attention has moved to development of the Liquid Phase LPG injection (LPLi) system from the mixer type LPG engine. To reduce exhaust NOx this study investigated the effect of EGR with LPLi engine and determined optimized EGR induced position and distribution. In addition, engine stability, performance, and exhaust emission level were evaluated.

스마트폰을 이용한 명함인식 어플리케이션이 광범위하게 활용되고 있다. 스마트폰의 제한적인 특성을 고려해 볼 때, 명함인식을 위한 처리 속도를 향상시키기 위해서는 칼라 정보와 배경정보에 해당하는 대용량의 영상 정보를 최소화하는 것이 필요하다. 이를 위해 인식 전처리 과정으로 RGB영상을 Grayscale로 변환하고 모서리 검출, 이미지 압축을 제안하였다. JAVA 2D 그래픽스의 이미지처리 클래스를 이용하였으며 구현 결과 영상처리 전에 비해 영상 처리 후의 인식률이 평균 30.6% 향상된 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. BussinessCard Recognition Applicatoins using Smartphone are widely used. Smartphone when you consider the limiting characteristic, business card recognition to improve the processing speed for the information and the color that corresponds to background information, the large amount of image information is necessary to minimize. To this end, in recognition preprocessing to convert RGB images to Grayscale edge detection, image compression is proposed. JAVA 2D graphics were used for image processing class implementation. Results of implementation, the recognition rate before image processing compared to average 30.6% improvement was found.
