우리나라 홍수량(洪水量) 공식(公式)들의 비교연구(比較硏究)

The design flood formulas in Korean river are reviewed from the early historical stage of the river improvement projects to the present situation. The 11 different formulas are selected for the comparative purpose of the each results at the same rainfall and basin characteristics under the same size of the basin. The max. and min. values of the design flood discharge for the same basin deviated almost as large as 400% according to the formula used without respect to the basin size. The remains have big scattering within those deviations. The steps to derive the design flood are very complicated and tedious time consuming process at present applications. However the reaults computed through the steps are quationable in accordance with the lengths of the hydrological historic records and the accuracy of the data observation technique in view of the engineering judgement. The purpose of this review will give the one of the simplest and the reasonable approach to eliminate misleading the determination of the design flood peak. 우리 나라의 하천종합개발계획(河川綜合開發計劃) 수립의 기준이 되는 계획홍수량(計劃洪水量) 결정수단으로 활용되어 왔던 홍수량공식(洪水量公式) 들을 조사하였다. 이들 가운데 11종(種)의 홍수량(洪水量) 공식(公式)을 선정하여 유역규모(流域規模)에 따른 계획비홍수량(計劃比洪水量)을 계산 비교하였다. 강우조건과 유역조건이 가능한 범위까지 같은 경우가 될 수 있게 하여 검토한 바 같은 유역에서 극치들의 변동폭이 400%나 되는 편차를 가지며 이런 범위안에서 각공식 별로 서로 많은 차이를 보여 주게 됨을 알 수 있었다. 지금 쓰이고 있는 홍수량(洪水量) 산정의 절차는 무척 복잡하고 많은 노력(努力)을 거쳐서 어렵게 결정하고 있으나 성과(成果)는 사용된 수문자료(水文資料)의 기간(期間)이나 정도(精度)에 좌우되어 공학적(工學的)인 판단(判斷)의 타당성이 결여된 경우가 많았음을 경험하였다. 따라서 보다 단순하면서 합리적(合理的)인 수단의 개발을 기왕의 홍수량(洪水量) 공식(公式) 비교에서 얻을 수 있었다.
IBAD 기판을 적용한 산화물 전구체 MOD 공정에 의한 YBCO Coated Conductor의 제조

YBCO coated conductors have been fabricated with a newly developed oxide-precursor-based MOD process. The precursor solution was synthesized with low cost YBCO powders as starting materials and YBCO coated conductors have been deposited on IBAD substrate ($CeO_2$/IBAD-YSZ/SS). YBCO coated conductor prepared by dip coating shows transport $I_c$ of 15A/cm-w at 77 K. Microstructural and crystallographic analyses indicate that YBCO layer was grown in epitaxy with substrate and exhibited well-developed dense microstructure. Also discussed are processing and analysis of YBCO coated conductor by slot-die web coating method. It was shown that this oxide-based MOD process provides a low cost route to coated conductor with high $J_c$.
분무 열분해법으로 제조된 미세 Bi-2223 전구분말의 특성

Homogeneous and fine powders for Bi-2223 tape were prepared by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (SP) method from an aqueous solution of metal nitrates. Bi-2223 precursor powders were synthesized with various solutes concentration and pyrolysis temperature. The synthesized precursor powders had a narrow particle size distribution and an average particle size was $\~{\cal}um$. The reactivity of precursor powder by SP method is very high, attributed to the fine and narrow particle size distribution. Bi-2223/Ag tape was prepared using PIT method and followed by various sintering conditions. The precursor powder by SP method promoted a very quick formation of the Bi-2223 phase for short sintering time while the secondary phase such as large AEC phase and $Ca_2PbO_4$ were minimized for SP tapes.

The most valuable application of transparent ceramics is the laser crystal for the solid-state laser. Especially, since a large-area laser crystal cannot be realized by the single crystal due to the inhomogeneous segregation of laser generating element, the transparent ceramics is considered as the most appropriate material for the high intensity solid-state laser system. In order to generate the laser from the transparent ceramics effectively, it is necessary to remove every single pore for the nearly theoretical inline transmittance as well as to make the ceramics highly durable against the thermal shock induced by heat generation. In this article, while briefly looking back on the global development history of solid-state lasers, we would like to discuss the recent trend of research on transparent ceramics for the solid-state laser in Korea and the direction of future technology development.
Lu<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>-SiO<sub>2</sub>계 소결조제를 포함하는 Silicon Nitride의 소결 특성 및 기계적 거동

Gas pressure sintering (GPS) of reaction bonded silicon nitride (RBSN) was performed using $Lu_2O_3-SiO_2$ additive and the properties were compared with those of specimens prepared using high purity $Si_3N_4$ powder. The relative density of RBSN and compacted $Si_3N_4$ powder were 68.9 and 47.1%, and total linear shrinkage after sintering at $1900^{\circ}C$ were 14.8 and 42.9%, respectively. High nitrogen partial pressure (5MPa) was required during sintering at $1900^{\circ}C$ in order to prevent the decomposition of the nitride and to promote the formation of SiC. The relative density and 4-point bending strength of RBSN and $Si_3N_4$ powder compact were 97.7%, 954MPa and 98.2%, 792MPa, respectively, after sintering at $1900^{\circ}C$. The sintered RBSN also showed high fracture toughness of 9.2MPam$^{1/2}$.
