B. cepacia는 환경에 널리 분포되어 있으며 낭성 섬유종 환자, 면역기능 저하자, 입원 기간 동안 오염된 장비와 접촉한 환자에서 감염을 일으킬 수 있는 원인균으로 알려져 있으나, 국내에서는 이에 대한 보고가 매우 드문 실정이다. B. cepacia는 소독제의 오염도 일으킬 수 있어 투석시마다 소독제를 사용하는 복막투석 환자에게는 유의해야 할 감염원으로 사료된다. 이에, 저자들은 지속성외래 복막투석을 시행 중인 환자에서 발생한 B. cepacia 복막염 1예를 경험한 바 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Burkholderia cepacia is an important opportunistic pathogen in immunocompromised and nosocomial patients, but this bacterial infection is rare in Korea. We report a case of Burkholderia cepacia peritonitis in a patient on CAPD. A 69-year-old male on CAPD for 5 years was presented with turbid peritoneal dialysate, diffuse abdominal pain and diarrhea. He was treated initially with intraperitoneal cefazolin and ceftazidime, and then intraperitoneal meropenem and oral TMP/SMX. His symptoms had improved with antibiotic treatment, but white blood cell counts of dialysate increased, instead. Burkholderia cepacia was isoloated from peritoneal fluid culture. The patient refused catheter removal in spite of our recommendation. He died of suddenly developed acute myocardial infarction and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Catether tip culture also revealed Burkholderia cepacia.(Korean J Med 71:219-223, 2006)

팬터그래프 시스템의 소음 수준 개선을 위해 팬터그래프 커버의 저소음 형상 설계를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 차세대 고속전철에서 사용 예정인 커버의 측면 단면 형상을 기본 형상으로 하여 전산해석 및 소음 분석을 수행하였다. 이후 전방 커버 및 후방 커버의 수직 단면부 형상 개선을 위해 단면부를 쐐기 형태로 설계하였다. 이 때 설계 변수로 쐐기 형태 단면부의 가로 길이(Ɩ)를 선정하였다. 그 결과 쐐기 형상으로 수직 단면부 형상을 변화시킬 경우 기본 형상에 비해 소음 수준이 최대 1dB(A) 감소함을 확인하였다. The cross-sectional shape of pantograph cover was designed for reduction of the noise level of the pantograph system. The baseline model was set as the cross-section of the pantograph cover of the next generation high speed train and numerical simulation and noise analysis was performed. Then, to improve the vertical section shape of front and rear covers, the shape was designed as wedge type; the design parameter was determined as crosswise length of the wedge. Consequently, the noise level of designed cover is reduced by 1dB(A) compared with the baseline cover model.

The aerodynamic features of a pantograph of a high speed train are analyzed according to shapes of pantograph covers. For this purpose two types of pantograph covers were selected: a wedge type cover and a cone type cover. Then the change of the aerodynamic forces of the pantograph affected by each type of the pantograph cover was computed. These results were compared with the original lift force of the pantograph. From the results the cone type cover changes the flow direction from side to side compared with the wedge type cover. Consequently it is confirmed that the effect of the wedge type cover on the lift force of pantograph is smaller than that of the cone type cover.
양력선 방법을 이용한 다양한 형상의 날개 공력해석에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 항공기 날개의 개념 설계에서 적용하기에 적합한 양력선 방법을 찾고 정확성과 적용범위를 분석한다. Prandtl의 양력선 이론에서 발전된 두 가지 양력선 방법으로서 얇은 익형의 가정을 갖고 3/4 시위의 제어점에서 속도경계조건을 부여하는 Weissinger방법과 3차원 와류 양력법칙을 적용한 Phillips의 방법을 택하였다. 계산 대상은 타원형 날개, 후퇴각이 있는 날개, 그리고 상반각과 비틀림이 있고 후퇴각 없는 테이퍼 날개이다. 계산을 통해 포텐셜 유동의 공력 데이터로 날개의 순환분포, 내리흐름 분포, 양력과 유도항력을 추출하여 이론식 결과 및 풍동시험 데이터와 비교하였다. Weissinger 방법은 날개의 형상에 상관없이 정확도와 신뢰성 있는 결과를 보여주지만 Phillips 방법은 후퇴각이 있는 날개에서는 부정확한 결과를 나타내었다. In this paper, we try to find the lifting-line method which is applicable to the conceptual design of aircraft wings, and analyze the accuracy and coverage of the method. Two methods that are extended from the lifting-line theory of Prandtl are selected. One of the methods is Weissinger’s method which imposes the velocity boundary condition at the control points located at the quarter chord, and the other is Phillips’s method which combines the three-dimensional vortex lifting law. Calculations are performed for an elliptic wing, a swept back wing, and a tapered unswept wing with dihedral angle and geometric twist. The aerodynamic data of the potential flow such as spanwise distributions of circulation and downwash, lift and induced drag are obtained through calculations, and these data are compared with theoretical results and wind tunnel test data. As a result, Weissinger’s method showed good accuracy and reliability regardless of wing shapes, but Phillips’s method revealed inaccurate results for a swept back wing.

저자들은 C형 간염바이러스에 의한 간경변 환자에서 빈혈, 저콜레스레롤혈증, 저단백혈증을 보이는 창자정체증후군에 의한 흡수장애증후군이 동반되었고 수술적 절제로써 흡수장애에서 회복된 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Of the various causes of malabsorption, to our knowledge, blind loop syndrome has been reported in Korea only rarely. Here, we report the case of a 63-year-old woman with hepatitis C virus-associated liver cirrhosis. The patient complained of abdominal distension and had an abnormal serum biochemistry caused by blind loop syndrome related to childhood abdominal surgery. Her laboratory findings showed an iron deficiency anemia, hypocholesterolemia, hypoproteinemia and hypoalbuminemia, and were confounded with those of liver cirrhosis. She underwent resection of the blind loop segment of the small intestine, after which her abdominal symptoms and abnormal laboratory findings improved, although they did not completely normalize due to her liver cirrhosis. This paper proposes a selection method of regions of interest (ROIs) for pedestrian detection using stereo vision. We define a ROI as a place where both driver and pedestrian are hardly see each other since this is dangerous location from a pedestrian detection viewpoint. The proposed method first finds boundary between the ground plane and obstacle based on UV-disparity, and then measures the depth change of obstacles. Finally, ROIs of pedestrian detector are selected by finding local extrema of the measured depth change. This approach can dramatically reduce the ROIs of pedestrian detection in order to decrease both false alarm and computational cost.
