Carotenoids liberated from the red carotenoprotein from the skin of ascidian(Halocynthia roretzi)were developed on TLC, and two bands were obtained with different Rfvalues. Their chemical reactivities and spectroscopic properties were studied and elucidated as astaxanthin diester and astaxanthin monoester. After saponification of carotenoid ester, GC analysis was performed. The carotenoid ester contained oleic acid, palmitic acid and palmitoleic acids as 50% of total amount, and had higher content unsaturated fatty acid including eicosapentanoic acid than saturated fatty acid.

A carotennnoprotein from the skin of Ascidian(Halocynthia roretzi) was extracted by Triton X-100 and purified by ammonium sulfate fraction, SephadexG-200 charomatography and DEAE-cellulose ion exchange chromatography. The carotenoprotein was redwith broad $\lambda$$_{max}$ between 495, 467 and 318nm. The red carotenoprotein had an approximate molecular weight of 326KDa(gel filtration). SDS-PAGE indicated the presence of two polypeptodes of 84.1KDa and 74.4KDa, with different mobility in polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. In the presence of denaturing agents such as organic solvent aand extreme pH, the red complex readily disociates to liberate the yellow carotenoid($\lambda$$_{max}$ 452nm) and a colourless apoprotein. The amino acid composition of carotenoprotein were mainly threonine(15.2%), aspartic acid(12.2%), glutamic acid(11.9%) and serine(9.6%), while proline was not found. The carotenoprotein consisted of lipids as structure units. Its major fatty acids composion were C$_{18:1}$, C$_{16:1}$, and C$_{16:0}$. The monounsaturated fatty acids(41.5%) contained abundant content compared to other fatty aacids(polyunsaturated fatty acids 37.4%, saturated fatty acids 20.6%).
평생교육프로그램 참여를 통한 여가만족이 성공적 노화에 미치는 영향: 우울의 매개효과를 중심으로

본 연구에서는 노인평생교육프로그램 참여 효과에 대해 심층 분석하였다. 이를 위해 서울시 일부지역의 노인여가복지시설에서 평생교육프로그램에 참여하는 65세 이상 노인 386명을 대상으로 하여, 노인의 평생교육프로그램 참여를 통한 여가만족도와 공적 노화와 우울과의 관련성을 밝혀, 노인평생교육의 활성화 방안을 위한 기초자료로 제시하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구결과 여가만족은 성공적 노화에 정(+)의 영향, 우울에 부(-)의 영향을 미치고 있으며, 여가만족은 우울감소를 통하여 성공적 노화에 간접적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타나 우울의 부분매개효과를 확인하였다. 본 연구의 이론적 함의는 노인평생교육프로그램 참여를 통한 여가만족은 성공적 노화에 영향을 미치는 예측변인이며, 우울은 여가만족이 성공적 노화로 이끄는 과정에서 심리적기재로 작용하고 있는 매개변수임을 밝혔다는 학문적 의의가 있다. 실천적 함의로 노인평생교육은 노인학습자가 교육적 욕구해소를 통해 자아실현을 이룰 수 있도록 도와야 한다. 이를 위해 노인의 우울을 감소하고 성공적인 노화로 이끌 수 있는 다양한 평생교육프로그램을 개발하고, 유휴 노인인력활용을 위한 퇴직준비교육 및 재취업준비교육 등 노인교육의 영역을 확대하여 현실적으로 도움을 줄 수 있는 실용학문을 개발하고 보급해야 할 것이다. 그리고 정책적 함의는 노인교육의 기회 확대와 접근이 용이할수 있도록 복합적인 기능을 갖춘 노인여가·문화복지시설을 확충하고, 노인여가복지시 설의 기능 및 역할을 강화하여 양질의 노인교육을 통해 노인의 삶의 질을 높일 수 있도록 정책적 기반을 마련하여야 할 것이다. In this study, the effects of participation in education programs for senior citizens were analyzed in depth. To this end, 386 senior citizens aged 65 or older who participate in the lifetime education program at welfare facilities for senior citizens in some areas of Seoul are surveyed to reveal the link between leisure satisfaction and successful aging and depression through participation. As a result of the study, leisure satisfaction had a positive effect on successful aging and had a negative effect on depression, and leisure satisfaction had an indirect effect on successful aging through depression reduction, confirming the partial mediating effect of depression. The theoretical implications of this study are the academic significance of the study, which revealed that leisure satisfaction through participation in the education program for the elderly is a predictor that affects successful aging, and that depression is a parameter that serves as a psychological component in the process of leading to successful aging. In practical implications, lifelong education for the elderly should be able to achieve self-realization through the elimination of educational needs. For this, it is necessary to develop various lifelong education programs that can reduce the depression of the elderly and lead to successful aging, and to develop and disseminate practical studies that can help the elderly in reality by expanding the area of elderly education such as retirement preparation education and reemployment preparation education for the use of idle elderly manpower. The policy implication is to establish a policy basis to improve the quality of life for the elderly through high quality education for the elderly. To expand the leisure and cultural welfare facilities for the elderly with complex functions so that the opportunity of elderly education can be expanded and accessed easily, and to strengthen the function and role of leisure welfare facilities for the elderly.
우렁쉥이 육으로부터 Carotenoprotein 의 분리 정제 및 특성

A carotenoprotein from the muscle of Ascidian (Halocynihia roretzi) was purified by ion exchange chromatography and gel filtration chromatography, and analyzed molecular weight, stability of pH and heat, effect of denaturing agents, amino acids and fatty acids composition. The purified carotenopotein had absorption maxima of 463 ㎚ and 439 ㎚. The carotenoprotein had an approxmimate molecular weight of 64.4 kDa in polyacryl-amide gel electrophoresis. The amino acid compositions of carotenoprotein were mainly Gly(15.39%), Asn(11.31%), Gln(10.62%) and Ser(13.35%). The major fatty acids composition of carotenoprotein were C◎(15.4%), C◎(14.5%) and C_(20:1(n-11))(11.4%). The monounsaturated fatty acids(45.2%) contained abundant content compared to other saturated(38.1%) and polyunsaturated(11.7%) fatty acids.
창원지역 초등학교 학생과 어머니의 김치에 대한 의식 및 섭취실태 조사

This study aimed to examine consumers` interest, preference, and consumption frequency of Kimchi in elementary school students in the fifth grade and their mothers living in Changwon city. In a comparison of eating habits, students exhibited better eating habits than their mothers (P<0.01). Though the mothers` levels, were higher than those of the students in the category of ``eat foods with a bit of salt usually``, the students` levels were higher in the rest of the eating habit categories. The categories of ``like Kimchi``, ``spicy taste``, and ``appropriately spicy taste`` got high levels. Among several kinds of Kimchi, both students and mothers preferred ``cabbage Kimchi`` the most. Among various Kimchi foods, preferences for ``Kimchi pancake``, ``fried rice with Kimchi``, and ``tuna Kimchi soup``, were highest in that order. The preferences differed between students and mothers in each category; mothers` preferences were significantly higher than those of students. However, in the rest of categories, except ``boiled kimchi and fish`` and ``Kimchi and stir-fried spicy pork``, students` preferences were higher than mothers` ones. Compared to their preferences, students` consumption frequencies were significantly higher than mothers` ones (P<0.01). There were positive correlations among students` eating habits, awareness of Kimchi, consumption frequency, and preference. For mothers, there were positive correlations not only between eating habits and awareness, but also between awareness and preference.
