Sorption Behaviors of Cotton, Kapok, and Rayon Fibers in Heavy Metal Solutions

In the study, the sorption behaviors of three different cellulose fibers were investigated using heavy metal solutions(Pb(II) and Cd(II)). The sorption dose during the adsorption and desorption was measured using an inductively coupled plasma spectrometer. The initial sorption by cotton was greater than that of the other fibers, while the total adsorption dose of rayon was larger than that of the others. The desorption dose of heavy metal ions from the fiber was negligibly small, indicating that the ions are very strongly physic-ochemically attached to the fiber.

Floor vibration has been one of the major problems in residential buildings. Complaints on the floor vibration problem will be growing according to the demands and trends toward the higher environmental performance of buildings. This paper is aimed at investigating the vibrational performance of floor with bored opening structures to footfall loading induced by a human. For that purpose, mock-up tests were carried out in relation with isolating materials incorporated in floor with bored opening structures and the evaluations of vibrational serviceability were performed. The results show that, floor with bored opening structures have much higher vibration amplitudes in time domain than those of bare floor structure due to the vibrational components of higher frequency range over first natural frequency.

The study investigates the performance of the reinforced concrete frame with the steel plate slit damper. The test was carried out to investigate the structural behavior between the reinforced concrete bare frame and the reinforced concrete frame with the steel plate slit damper. The test results showed that the energy absorption capacity of the damped-frame was several times larger than that of the bare frame. For the damage by the input energy is concentrated on the steel plate slit damper, the ductilities of the former structure were increased and the damaged frame can be reused after exchange the steel plate slit damper.
사회적 관계 요인이 주민 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 세대별 비교를 중심으로

본 연구는 사회적 관계와 지역생활여건 요인이 주민 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 세대별로 비교, 분석하고자 했다. 분석결과, 전반적인 지역생활여건 요인은 모든 세대 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치고 있지만, 생활여건별 영향력의 정도는 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 청년세대는 경제여건과 인프라여건이, 장년세대는 인프라여건과 복지여건이 세대별 삶의 만족도에 상대적으로 높은 영향력이 있었다. 반면 노년세대의 경우 환경여건과 경제여건이 높은 영향력이 있으며, 사회적 관계도 주요한 요인으로 도출되었다. 이러한 분석의 결과는 노년세대의 사회적 관계성 확보와 지역 내 주민의 생활여건의 우선순위를 파악하여 주민의 삶의 만족도 향상과 계속거주의향을 높일 수 있음을 보여준다. 또한, 지역 생활여건에 대한 개선 수요를 파악하기 위해서는 생활여건별, 세대별로 파악할 필요가 있다는 것을 시사한다. 향후 정부는 지역 내에서 계속거주의향을 높이고, 주민의 삶의 만족도 향상을 위해서 세대별로 차별적 정책 시행이 필요할 것이다. This study analyzes the impact of social relationships and factors in relation to local living conditions on residents’ life satisfaction by generation. The analysis shows that overall local living conditions have an effect on life satisfaction for all generations, but the amount of influence differs by living conditions. The economic and infrastructure conditions for younger people and the infrastructure and welfare conditions for the middle-aged have a relatively high influence. On the other hand, environmental and economic conditions have a high influence, and social relations were also identified as a major factor. The results of this analysis show that it is possible to improve life satisfaction among residents and increase the tendency to continue living by grasping the prioritization of the living conditions of residents in the region and securing the social relations of the elderly.
기초자치단체 삶의 질의 상대적 효율성 분석: 커뮤니티웰빙 모형의 적용

본 연구에서는 27개 시군구의 커뮤니티웰빙 여섯 자본에 대한 평가와 지역주민의 삶의 질에 대한 설문조사 결과 분석을 통해, 지방자치단체에 정책적 시사점을 제공하는 분석틀을 제안하고자 한다. 먼저, 통상적으로 인식하는 도시 대 농촌의 구분이 유의미한지에 대해서 삶의 질과 커뮤니티웰빙 모형의 측면에서 분석을 수행하였다. 다음으로 자료포락분석 방법을 적용하여 27개 기초지자체의 효율성 지수를 파악하고, 끝으로 잔여분 기반 모형을 통해 상대적으로 효율적인 지역을 벤치마킹 할 수 있도록 각 자본별 잔여분 및 최적화 값을 도출하는 탐색적 연구를 수행하였다. 분석결과, 생활환경 수준의 차이를 나타내는 커뮤니티웰빙 자본 중, 인적자본과 자연자본을 제외한 나머지 영역에서는 도시와 농촌에서 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았으며, 삶의 질 또한 유의한 차이를 발견할 수 없었다. 자료포락분석의 결과에서도 도시 대 농촌의 구분이 삶의 질-커뮤니티웰빙 관점의 효율성을 구분하는 것에 대한 기준으로 고려하기 어렵다는 것을 확인하였다. 끝으로 잔여분 기반 모형을 통해서 개별 지자체가 효율적인 자원관리를 달성하기 위한 여유분값과 최적화값을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 커뮤니티웰빙 모형을 활용한 지방자치단체 효율성 분석을 통해 정책적 함의를 도출하고자 하였다. 개별 지방자치단체 수준에서 커뮤니티웰빙 6자본을 바탕으로 정책적 처방을 제시할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였으며, 지방정부의 정책지향으로서 커뮤니티웰빙 6자본 모형의 활용방안과 유용성을 제시한 것에 본 연구의 의의가 있다. In this study, we propose an analytical framework that provides policy implications to local governments through an assessment of the six community well-being capital and quality of life in 27 communities of Korea. First, the analysis was carried out in terms of quality of life and community well-being model on whether the normally perceived distinction between urban and rural areas was significant. Next, data envelopment analysis was applied to identify the efficiency index of 27 local governments, and finally to derive the slack and optimization values for each capital so that individual local government could benchmark relatively efficient governments. The analysis showed no significant differences in urban and rural areas, except for human capital and natural capital, among community well-being capital that indicate living conditions, and no significant difference in quality of life was found. The results of the data envelopment analysis also confirmed that the distinction between urban and rural areas is hard to be considered as a criterion for distinguishing the efficiency in community well-being perspective. Finally, through a slack based model, we presented slack values and optimization values for individual local governments to achieve efficient resource management. The purpose of this study was to derive the policy implications by analyzing the efficiency of local governments using a community well-being model. We suggested that policy prescriptions can be presented at the level of individual local governments based on community well-being six capital, and this study is meaningful in that the six capital models for community well-being can be utilized and useful as a policy orientation for local governments.

Apartment in Korea couldn't cope with various social demands owing to monotonous space composition and bearing wall system, even though it maintains structural durability. Recently, We are the view to need the creation of variable residing space in the trend which the remodelling of existing building increases. Hence, to make sustainable buildings possessing physical and functional durability, the expected changes of occupants' and social needs with the passage of time should be considered from the initial design stages. In order to increase building serviceability, support structure should have the capacity of accomodating various changes of infill components so as for the infills to be easily replaced, reused and/or recycled On the basis of these recognitions, this study suggests the design methods of Support to improve the flexibility for Apartment.

Structures on flat plate slab using Eco lightweight concrete have economic advantages like to reduce costs by reducing the dead load of structure. Flat plate slab is very useful structural system. However flat plate have character of brittle failure in slab-column connections. So these objectives of study are to examine that variables have influence on the punching shear of flat plate slab-column connections using Eco lightweight concrete. In general, punching shear of flat plate is depending on the compressive strength of concrete, effective depth of slab and perimeter of critical section. In the test, specimens with variables were tested to investigate punching shear behavior and determine their punching shear capacity.

The objective of this work is based on the comparison on behaviors of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete beam-column joint, which have similar dimensions and design strengths. A comprehensive experimental test involving 1 reinforced concrete and 2 prestressed concrete beam-column joint specimens has been performed. Through experimental test, the behavior of typical prestressed concrete beam-column joint was established.
