MCS 레벨 선택 방식에 따른 AMC-MIMO 결합 시스템의 성능 비교

In this paper, we propose and observe a system that adopts Independent-MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) level for each layer in the combined AMC-V-BLAST (Adaptive Modulation and Coding-Vertical-Bell-lab Layered Space-Time) system. Also, comparing with the combined system using Common-MCS level, we observe throughput performance improvement. As a result of simulation, Independent-MCS level case adapts modulation and coding scheme for maximum throughput to each channel condition in separate layer, resulting in improved throughput compared to Common-MCS level case. Especially, the results show that the combined AMC-V-BLAST system with Independent-MCS level achieves a gain of 700kbps in $7dB{\sim}9dB$ SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) range. 본 논문에서는 AMC-V-BLAST(Adaptive Modulation and Coding-Vertical-Bell-lab Layered Space-Time) 결합 시스템에 각 레이어 별로 독립적인 MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) 레벨을 적용한 경우의 시스템 구조를 제시후 성능을 관찰한다. 그리고 공통적인 MCS 레벨이 적용된 결합 시스템의 성능에 비하여 어느정도의 전송률 향상이 있는가를 살펴본다. 실험결과, 독립적인 MCS 레벨이 적용된 경우가 레이어 별로 각 채널상태에 따라 최대한의 전송률을 얻기 위한 변조 및 코딩 방식이 선택되므로 공통 MCS 레벨을 척용한 경우에 비하여 전송률 성 능이 우수함을 보였다 . 특히 독립적인 MCS 레벨을 적용한 AMC-V-BLAST 결합 시스템의 약 $7dB{\sim}9dB$ SNR 구간에서 700kbps 개선을 확인하였다.

본 논문에서는 AMC-V-BLAST(Adaptive Modulation and Coding-Vertical-Bell-lab Layered Space-Time) 결합 시스템에 각 레이어 별로 독립적인 MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) 레벨을 적용한 경우의 시스템 구조를 제시 후 성능을 관찰한다. 또한 AMC-V-BLAST 결합 시스템에 STD(Selection Transmit Diversity)와 독립적인 MCS 레벨을 적용 후 전송률 성능을 살펴본다. 그리고 공통적인 MCS 레벨이 적용된 결합 시스템의 성능에 비하여 어느 정도의 전송률 향상이 있는가를 살펴본다. 실험결과, 독립적인 MCS 레벨이 적용된 경우가 레이어 별로 각 채널상태에 따라 최대한의 전송률을 얻기 위한 변조 및 코딩 방식이 선택되므로 공통 MCS 레벨을 적용한 경우에 비하여 전송률 성능이 우수함을 보였다. 특히 독립적인 MCS 레벨을 적용한 AMC-V-BLAST결합 시스템의 약 $7dB{\sim}9dB$ SNR구간에서 700kbps 이득을 보였고, 동일한 SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio)구간에서 STD와 독립적인 MCS 레벨을 적용한 AMC-V-BLAST 결합 시스템은 350kbps 개선을 확인하였다. 규범론자로서의 Samuel Johnson 읽기

The goals of a dictionary as Samuel Johnson(1709-84) originally planned it in 1747 sounded much like those of a proposed English Academy: to ascertain, refine, and fix the English language. Johnson thought to maintain the purity of English and to ascertain the use of English words. By the time A Dictionary of the English Language(1755) was published eight years later in 1755, his purpose had become somewhat more modest. Johnson realized that not all words are correctable, since language is a reflection of imperfect human origin. The “"Preface”" to the dictionary stated that it was impossible for a lexicographer to “"embalm”" the language and keep it from “"corruption”" and “"decay.”" Through a thorough textual analysis of Johnson's “"The Plan”" and his “"Preface”" to the Dictionary, the present study, contrary to the statement of Lynch(2009), shows that Johnson's attitudes towards language and a dictionary can still be construed as prescriptive, though he acknowledges the futility of trying to embalm the language by means of a dictionary.

W. Bullokar의 영문법서(1586) 다시 읽기

잉글랜드 문예부흥과 신교종교개혁의 산물로 탄생한 William Bullokar의 Bref Grammar for English(1586)는 현존하는 최초의 인쇄본 영어문법서다. 그러나 영문법 역사의 시작을 연 선구적 저작의 가치 이외에, 이 문법서는 라틴어의 8품사, 직설법의 시제구분, 굴절어미에 의한 명사의 격형성, 관사와 형용사의 굴절 같은 라틴어 고유의 성질을 영어에 그대로 대입하고, 선호하는 라틴어 문법 항목과 체제를 모사한 라틴어 문법서의 도작이라는 저평가를 받고 있을 뿐이다. 이 논문은 시대 및 맥락적 다시 읽기를 통하여 Bullokar 문법서에 대한 재평가를 시도한다. 초창기 어떠한 문법서보다도 라틴어와 영어의 차이를 구분할 줄 알고, 매우 예리한 언어 관찰력을 갖고 잇던 저자로서 그의 문법서는 16세기의 문예부흥, 인문주의, 신교주의와 같은 근대적인 정신운동과 문화사회적 분위기는 물론 사회 전반의 요구에 따른 결과물인 동시에, Bullokar가 가지고 있었던 언어 애국주의와 새로운 인문주의 교육관에 입각하여 라틴어 문법을 전거로 삼은 것임을 밝히고자 한다. The first grammar of English, Bref Grammar for English (1586) by William Bullokar is said to be faithfully modeled on Latin grammars including William Lily``s Latin grammar, Rudimenta Grammatices (1534), which was being used in schools in England at that time, having been "prescribed" for them in 1542 by Henry VIII. Bullokar is sometimes blamed for importing and imposing various Latin grammatical rules--regardless of actual English usage and normal word patterns, that is, forcing Latin grammar inappropriately on English. However, the present study attempts to reappraise Bullokar``s Bref Grammar for English through a more contexually based approach to reading. At that time Bullokar was writing his grammar, Latin was widely viewed as the language of refinement and elegancy. Bullokar seemed to have a goal of demonstrating that English was quite as rule-bound as Latin, like he reveals his intention several times in his grammar. He seems to have intentionally borrowed or followed Latin terms and grammatical patterns or rules to show that English is as refined language as Latin. Therefore Bullokar and his grammar should not be stigmatized as a plagiarized copy, but a reflection of Zeitgeist of the 16th century.

연구논문 : New ISA 600과 감사인지정제도

감사인 지정제도란, 자유수임 계약에 의한 감사인의 독립성 훼손 완화 및 투자자보호를 위하여 주식회사의 외부감사에 관한 법률에 근거하여 감사인미선임, 부당한 감사인 교체, 감리조치, 소유·경영미분리 등 공정한 감사가 필요하다고 인정되는 특정사유에 해당하는 기업에 대하여 감사인을 지정하는 제도이다. 2011년부터 적용되고 있는 국제회계기준(International Financial Reporting Standards: IFRS) 등 국제규범 도입을 앞두고 현행 감사인 지정제도에 대한 재검토의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 그룹의 모회사를 감사하는 감사인이 연결재무제표에 대하여 전적으로 책임을 진다는 신국제감사기준(New International Standards on Auditing: New ISA) 600 규정과 관련하여 모회사 감사인과 자회사 감사인을 통일시킬 필요성이 있다는 의견이 대두되고 있기 때문이다. 즉, 모회사 또는 자회사의 감사인이 지정되는 경우 모회사와 자회사의 감사인이 인위적으로 일치하지 않게 되고 이는 연결재무제표에 대한 감사의견 표명시 문제가 될 수 있다. 따라서 IFRS와 New ISA 도입이라는 새로운 회계 환경과 기존의 감사인지정제도가 상충되는 문제는 없는지 상충된다면 해결책은 무엇인지를 모색할 필요가 있다. With the full adoption of IFRS in 2011, the introduction of the NEW International Standards on Auditing (ISA) of International Federation of Accountants is under discussion in terms of auditing. According to the New ISA 600, the auditor who audits the parent company of a corporate group is responsible for the group`s consolidated financial statements. In other words, the auditor is obligated to indicate in their audit report that the responsibility of the group`s financial director, or the due accounting firm that is responsible for providing an audit opinion on the group, will not be lessened merely by mentioning partial auditors on the audit report.
