The author experienced two cases of trichotillomania, in an 11-year-old elementary schoolboy and a 13-year-old girl. In terms of psychodynamics, the cause of trichotillomania is discussed as follows : 1. The hair pulling is thought to begin as a rage reaction against mother and it appears that emotional deprivation in the maternal relationship contributes significantly to the development of hair pulling. 2. It is suggested that continuous hair pulling is closely related to transitional phenomenon. The literatures on trichotillomania were reviewed with discussion of the clinical and psychodynamic aspects on hair pulling.

In electrical impedance tomography(EIT), various image reconstruction algorithms have been used in order to compute the internal resistivity distribution of the unknown object with its electric potential data at the boundary. Mathematically the EIT image reconstruction algorithm is a nonlinear ill-posed inverse problem. This paper presents a simulated annealing technique as a statistical reconstruction algorithm for the solution of the static EIT inverse problem. Computer simulations with the 32 channels synthetic data show that the spatial resolution of reconstructed images by the proposed scheme is improved as compared to that of the mNR algorithm or genetic algorithm at the expense of increased computational burden.
Estimation of kernel function using the measured apparent earth resistivity
김호찬,부창진,강민제 한국인터넷방송통신학회 2020 Journal of Advanced Smart Convergence Vol.9 No.3
In this paper, we propose a method to derive the kernel function directly from the measured apparent earth resistivity. At this time, the kernel function is obtained through the process of solving a nonlinear system. Nonlinear systems with many variables are difficult to solve. This paper also introduces a method for converting nonlinear derived systems to linear systems. The kernel function is a function of the depth and resistance of the Earth's layer. Being able to derive an accurate kernel function means that we can estimate the earth parameters i.e. layer depth and resistivity. We also use various Earth models as simulation examples to validate the proposed method.

3D printers are widely used to verify the designs in the early stage of product development, and are required to have short build time. However, the build time is still too long for a quick design review for engineers. This research focuses on how to split the prototype in order to reduce the build time and improve surface roughness. In order to verify the feasibility of prototype splitting, the build time and the roughness have been experimentally measured for various parts and build orientations. Based on the experimental results an expert system was developed for splitting the original CAD mod el by using an efficient splitting method. It can recommend a splitting plane based on build time, surface roughness and the number of divided parts. It is shown that the model splitting reduces the build time significantly and improves surface quality wit bout rough surfaces where the support was removed.
닫힌형태의 그래미언을 사용한 불안정한 SISO 시스템의 모델축소
김호찬 濟州大學校 産業技術硏究所 1996 산업기술연구소논문집 Vol.7 No.1
This paper develops a simple approach to balanced model reductions for unstable linear continuous-time SISO systems. First, the controllability, observability, and cross Gramians are directly obtained from the coefficients of the transfer function using the Routh array in a closed-form. Based on these Gramians, a simple algorithm is proposed to compute a reduced order model based on balancing and truncation technique for unstable SISO systems. This algorithm is simpler and numerically more efficient in computing the Gramians than presently existing algorithms. If the unstable system can be balanced, then the proposed algorithm gives a reduced order model which has the same number of unstable poles as the original model.

One of the major fears of patients with cancer is pain, which can occur as a result of the cancer itself or its treatment, or from other causes. Cancer patients with pain are most vulnerable to such psychiatric complications of cancer as depression, anxiety, and delirium. Despite the high prevalence of psychiatric complications observed in the research literature, it is often underdiagnosed and undertreated. Undertreatment of cancer pain and its psychiatric complications results not only from the limited expectations of patients but also from the inadequate knowledge of many clinicians. This review focused on psychiatric complications and optimal management in cancer patients with pain. for the clinician wants to provide comprehensive management of cancer pain, familiarity with psychiatric intervention, and knowledge of the indications and usefulness of psychotropic drugs is important and will be most rewarding

Background: This study was carried out to assess psychosocial stress, job stress and mental health status of ship-building male workers and to examine the relationship among psychosocial stress, job stress, mental health status and socio-demographic characteristics. Material & method: The subjects were questioned about: demographic factors, marital status, education, personal history, alcohol intake, smoking, and physical activity, while their psychosocial stress, job stress and mental health status were assessed using Psychological Well-being Index (PWI), Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS) and Symptom Checklist 90-Revision (SCL-90-R). Statistical analyses were used to examine the relationship among psychosocial stress, job stress, mental health status, and socio-demographic characteristics. Result: One hundred nineteen male workers were included. Young age group and unmarried group had high scores of psychosocial stress and job stress. Simple correlation among KOSS scores, PWI scores and SCL-90-R were statistically significant differences(0.38 ≤ r ≤ 0.915, P<0.01). Odds ratio of multiple logistic regression analysis of high risk of psychosocial stress were physical discomfort 4.28, young age group 2.40 and high job stress 2.39. Conclusion: Based on this study result, it could be concluded that physical discomfort, young age group and high job stress were important factors in explaining psychosocial stress.
