The automation in autopsy data recording, particularly in the reporting and encoding system using computers requires well designed databases. This system employed multimedia computer techniques to design a database system with application programs along with the standardized autopsy data management flow. the bendfit of the present development was verified by practical application into the autopsies performed in the department of forensic medicine, Kyungpook National University. The standardized medical information to forensic autopsy data provides mutual exchange of information between the institutions and information to law enforcement agencies. Statistics on autopsy data could be used not only for medical education and research, but also as a template for ploicy determination concerning forensic medicine in Korea. It is necessary to standardize information between the institutions.

E.coli Lipopolysaccharide에 의한 폐포 모세혈관 내피세포와 호중구의 유착

This study was carried out to investigate the adherence of the neutrophils and endothelial cells induced by E. coli lipopolysaccaride(LPS), effects of tunicamycin on the adhesion of both cells, and fine structures of adhesion sites. The experiments were divided four parts. The experiment Ⅰ was to study the fine structures of adhesion sites. The Sprague-Dawley rats were intraperitoneally injected 4㎎/㎏ of LPS. The lungs were examined by electron microscopy with ruthenium red stain. The experiment Ⅱ was to evaluate the adherence of neutrophils and endothelial cells after exposure of LPS to the neutrophils or endothelial cells. The experiment Ⅲ was to investigate the effects of tunicamycin on LPS-induced adherence of neutrophils and endothelial cells. And experiment Ⅳ was an in vitro study to evalute the LPS-induced adherence of both cells and the effects of tunicamycin on the adherence of both cells after exposure of LPS. The results were as follows: On electron microscopy, there were perpendicular fibrillar structures between the neutrophil and endothelial cell in adhesion sites with 15-20㎚ of interspaces and between the neutrophils with 25-30㎚ in gap. Adherence of neutrophils on the alveolar capillary endothelial cells per 1,000μ㎡ of pulmonary parenchyme was 1.24 ± 1.03 in non-treated control group, 5.24 ± 3.22 in group of LPS-treated endothelium, 3.78 ± 1.63 in LPS-treated neutrophil, 5.11 ± 2.84 in LPS-treated endothelium and neutrophil(p<0.01). The neutrophil adherence was 0.93 ± 0.85 in group of LPS-treated endothelium and tunicamycin and LPS-treated neutrophil, 2.53±1.60 in tunicamycin and LPS-treated endothelium and neutrophil(p<0.01). In cases of culture, neutrophil adherence was 9.47 ± 2.68 in non-treated control group, 13.37±3.84 in LPS-treated endothelium, 10.67 2.66 in tunicamycia and LPS-treated endoithelium, and 13.40±3.39 in tunicamycin and LPS-treated endothelium and neutrophil(p<0.01). According to the above results, it is concluded that stimulation of the endothelium is an important factor in neutrophil adherence to endothelium induced by LPS, and that tunicamycin significantly suppress the neutrophil adhesion in the state of LPS stimulation.

This is a statistical observation by authors based on data of deaths brought to department of forensic medicine, Kyungpook National University School of Medicine for medicolegal autopsy by all of law enforcement agencies in Taegu area during the year of 1995. The report aims to reveal facts on various causes of death in Taegu area in attempt to analyse 205 cases statistically. The following are the summary of results ; 1. The total numbers of autopsy were 205 cases, of these 121 cases (58%) were males and 83 cases (40%) were females. 2. The violent deaths were 135 cases (66%) and the natural deaths were 63 cases (31%) and unknown cases were 7 (3%). 3. The percentage of autopsied cases with 30's age group was 28.2% (the most), 20's was 17.2%, 40's was 13.8%, 10's was 13.8%... in violent deaths. The percentage of autopsied cases with 30's age group was 31%, 40's was 20%, 20's was 20%, 50's was 15.5%...in natural deaths. 4. For the violent deaths, the percentage deaths due to injury was 52.9%, asphyxia was 29.8%, intoxication was 10.4% and abnormal temperature(hypothermia or fire) or electrocution was 6.7%. 5. For deaths due to injuries, the percentage of deaths due to blunt injury was 45.7%, sharp force injury was 29.5%, fall was 17.1%. and traffic accident was 7.1%. 6. For the natural deaths, 60 cases were recorded and the death due to the disese of the cardiocascular system was taking the most of the total percentage with 53%. 7. For deaths due to injuries, the percentage of accidental death was 57.3%, homicide was 22% and suicide was 14.7%. 8. 31 subjects (51.7%) of 128 violent deaths have positive blood alcohol concentrations (0.05% and above) , and 8.1% of natural deaths were associated with alcohol intake. 9. For deaths by medical dispute, 7 cases were recorded and deaths combined with operation were taking the most of the total percentage with 43%.

This treatise is attempted to discuss about the periodization of the Korean classical old fictions. The periodization is attached the great importance in the history of the literature or the fictions. I epitomize the subject matter which is discussed in the upper parts as following. 1. The early period of old fictions ; <Choechione> in the 《Suoichun》, <Kimyoushin>, <Ondall>, <Domiy>, <Choshinmong> and <Kimhyungamho> in the《Samkooksahki》or the 《Samkookyousah》are belonged to the early period. In this times, The Korean classical old fictions came into existence by the form of the Chunkie. 2. The middle period of old fictions; <Kooksounchun>, <Kongbangchun>, <yaesanuonzachun>, <Nokoukchungchun>, <yongpuchun>, <Kuomohshinwha>, <Daekwanjaemongyoulok>, <Soulkongchanchun>, <Kyjaekiie>, <shousungzy>, <Onesengmongyoulok> and <Zhunkoonchun> are belonged to the middle period of old fictions. In this times, the old fictions went into searching the way of the deversity by the power of self-renovation. 3. The latter period of old fictions; <Hongkildongchun>, <youyounchun>, <Chuosengchun>, <Choechoukchun>, <Dalchunmongyoulok>, <Kuouonmong>, <Shacchinamjungki>, <Changsunkamouelok> and the short stories in Chinese characters are belonged the latter period of old fictions. In this times, the old fictions displayed the traits of character in the enlargement and the deepening of the deversity. 4. The last period of old fictions; In this times, the korean classical old fictions are rapidly deprived of the life forces. But the tradition of old fictions was taken over the new-style fiction and the modern novels.

This treatise is attempted to discuss about the evolution theory of Korean old traditional fiction. I epitomize the subject matters which are discussed in the upper parts a following. 1. The Legendary-genesis theory was very early presented by TaeJun Kin, and continually asserted by HeeSoong Lee, OwangSan Joo, YounJae Cho, SoungOui Pak, KiHyong Shin, YoeulKyu Kim, DoakSun Jang, KyuBok Jung etc. In addition, It was formulated as 'Legendary→Fiction' or 'Legendary→KaJounChe(imitation biography style)→fiction'. 2. The Biography-genesis theory was first presented by JongOub Cho and it was manifested all the more by JungSik Kwak. In other word, The Korean old traditional fiction was orignated on the narrative-literary refraction and transition of the biography. 3. The problem point at issue in the legendary-genesis theory is that the all of assertions was belong to the material for literary treatment. therefore There is the distinctly limitations on the legendary-genesis theory. In next, The darwinism which the legendary is switched over fiction, or ascended, developmented, must be conquered quickly. 4. Finally, We must correct the fixed idea of objectivity in the history-interpretations and study continually on the biography. only so, A developmental prospect will be rised to us about the genesis theory of the korean old traditional fiction.

A procedure for the isolation of highly purified mitochondria and microsomes from normal rat liver is described. The liver was homogenized in 0.25M sucrose and mitochondrial fraction was prepared by 20 to 45% sucrose linear density gradient centrifugatioin. Microsomal fraction was also prepared by 10 to 35% sucrose linear density gradient centrifugation. The purity of mitochondrial and microsomal fractions confirmed by morphometry showed about 92 and 87% respectively. Monoamine oxidase activity was found in mitochondrial and microsomal fractions which contain about 64 and 17% of the total monamine oxidase activity respectively. About 71% of the total glucose-6-phosphatase activity was found in the microsomal fraction, And alcohol dehydrogenase activity was only found in the cytosol fractioin.

I epitomize the subject matter which is discussed in the upper parts as followings. 1. <On-dal> Story could be recognized to a certain extent historical existence and allegiance and by documents fixation has been continued a fixed shape to a definite direction. therefore it meets requirements of our proper cultural text. 2. <On-dal> Story is dealt with men's desire that a man in poor and humble situation is successed in the rising of the social standing. and it is based in 'a royal princess story' which described women's desire of the perfection of self that a highborn princess who is banished by a father king, manifests the self possibility maximumly overcoming the difficulty and trial. 3. A princess has several characteristic traits, that is, humanly sincerity, subjective volition and bravery, discernment power of the life and the practical endeavor. By these characteristic traits she can overcome the difficulty and trial. 4. The perfection of self in a princess is revealed as the completion of marriage, the rising of social standing, wealth and prosperity in a concrete way.
