        Dokdo, a group of 33 small and rocky Islets, in the East Sea have been administered by Korea for years since 1953 and are currently occupied by Korean Police Unit. Dokdo is located about 217Km off the eastern border of Korea and 87Km east-south of Ulleung Island in North Gyeongsang Province. Dokdo itself which is situated in the East Sea of Korea, has very valuable strategic implications for Korea as well as another countries such as Russia, Japan, U.S.A. etc... The first historical testimonies to Dokdo were in Korean documents referring to it as a part of an independent island district known as Ulleung Island(Usangguk), which was incorporated into Silla Kingdom in 512 A.D. in "1454 Sejong Authentic History". Historically, since at least 1881, the island has been called Dokdo by Koreans, meaning "Rock Island" or "Lonely Island". Also Korea, which regained a full sovereignty and have exercised it for decades continuously, keeps a small police detachment on the Island. That is, Dokdo is under effective control of Korea until today. Therefore Dokdo, which is a problem that is related to our territory and sovereignty, is clearly a cluster of Island of Korea.

      • 능동 마이크로스트립 안테나 설계에 관한 연구

        Active microstrip antenna are antennas in which the active devices are integrated directly in the antenna structure. The whole system is treated together with the antenna simultaneously serving the function of load as well as radiator. In this paper, the LNA(Low Noise Amplifier) is designed and fabricated at 1.8Ghz using QMSA. (Quarter-wavelength Microstrip Antenna) The designed LNA has total gain of 10 ~ 12dB at the center frequency of 1.8Ghz with 500MHz bandwidth. The designed and fabricated Active microstrip antenna enhances the realized gain of a QMSA through amplification by the LNA.

      • 실내통신용 마이크로스트립 루프 안테나에 관한 연구

        Recently the various systems, communication and broadcasting using satellite, mobile communication, remote sensing and GPS etc. are appeared and being miniaturized to improve the portability. When the antenna is miniaturized, it decreases the efficient and narrows the bandwidth. Now the miniaturization technique of the antenna is the more important problem. In spite of these restrictions, Microstrip Antenna(MSA) can meet these requirements and can be utilized practically. In this paper, a microstrip antenna with a small loop consisting of the left and right parallel plate to load capacitor is proposed. It is obtained the improved small size than the antenna of the transformed MSA and the antenna of the left and right parallel plate to load capacitor on MSA. Equivalent circuit of transmission line model is designed to find more accurate resonant frequency. Also, the designed and fabricated antenna can receive both vertically and horizontally polarized waves to operating frequency of 1.5[GHz]. Therefore proposed antenna is available as a small antenna for wireless communication and will be quite useful for indoor communication.

        Vessels on the sea are always exposed to the marine perils such as collision, sinking, stranding, burning, capsizing and disaster etc. which are especially incident to a sea voyage and which might cause a greater danger of total loss than similar accidents were done on land. And in this paper, it describes and discusses about the factors and the countermeasures for prevention a lot of marine accidents caused at ships on the sea. As the results of this study, those are summarized as follows; 1. Reinforcement of education and Change of practical practice system of at the designated educational institutions 2. Advocation of ship owner's mind which is preparing for various accidents incident to voyageat sea 3. Construction of co-operation system among all organs relating to safety and salvage at sea 4. Improvement of navigational aids for going vessels in the vicinity of fairway

      • 비대칭 격자부호변조를 쓰는 직접수열 대역확산 다중접속 통신계통의 성능 특성

        비대칭 위상이동변조 방식과 격자 부호화를 쓰는 직접수열 대역확산 다중접속 시스템의 성능을 분석한다. 신호 별자리를 비대칭으로 하면 대칭 신호 별자리를 쓸 때보다 성능이 좋아진다. 몇 가지 경우에 대해 이 시스템의 비트 오류 확률을 계산했다. 몇 가지 보기를 들어 신호 분포가 비대칭일 때 얻어지는 성능 개선을 보였다.

        약한 신호 통신로에서 한 변조 직교수열의 잡음 줄임 특성

        이 논문에서는 한 직교수열의 고유 성질을 바탕으로 한 잡음 줄임 기법을 생각한다. 이 변조 직교부호는 N 정보 심볼로부터 (information symbol) 길이가 $N^2$인 수열을 만든다. 먼저, 받은 심볼의 진폭을 써서 가장 작은 신호의 위치를 추정한 다음, 제안한 방법으로 잡음을 줄인다. 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 써서 제안한 방법의 성능을 확인한다. In this paper, we investigate a noise reduction scheme, based on the inherent characteristic of an orthogonal sequence. The modulated orthogonal code generates sequences of length $N^{2}$ from N information symbols. Using the amplitudes of the received symbols, we first estimate the location of the smallest amplitude noise. Then the noise is reduced by the suggested system. The performance of the scheme is confirmed by computer simulation results.

        The limitation of shipowner's liability is the peculiar regime to the general maritime law, which limits shipowner's liability within maritime property or a certain amount of money for all the claims attributed to the course of navigation of sea-going ships or in the use of vessels for his shipping activities. That is, this regime has been developing to protect the shipowners from becoming bankrupt by reason of huge compensation for claims. And in this paper, I examined on the persons entitled to limit shipowner's liability. In conclusion, I expect the persons entitled to limit shipowner's liability to be more expanded.

        한 변조 직교수열에 알맞은 부호만들기

        이 논문에서는 직교수열의 하나인 수에히로 수열을 만드는 방법을 하나 제안한다. 이 방법에서는 정수합과 나머지방법만으로 부호수열을 만든다. 이 방법으로 만든 수열의 자기상관과 교차상관 특성을 살펴본다. 제안한 방법으로 만든 수열은 직교성을 가지며 교차상관의 수학적 하한을 만족시킨다. In this paper, a code sequence generation method of the Suehiro sequence is suggested. In this method, a code sequence is generated only with integer sums and modular techniques. the auto-correlation and cross-correlation characteristics of the sequence generated by the method are investigated. The sequence generated by the suggested method has the orthogonality and satisfies the mathematical lower bound of the cross-correlation.
