2022 next year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and China. For 30 years, Korea and China have maintained good relationships with each other and have been developing. However, there have been a series of critical media reports about Confucius Academy at home and abroad. In some Western countries, voices have grown criticizing Confucius Academy as a base organization promoting the Chinese Communist Party system and ideas, and in fact, several countries have expelled Confucius Academy in their own country. Therefore, as of August 2021, this paper analyzed a total of 80 textbooks used by Confucius Academy in Korea and analyzed the actual condition of textbooks used by Confucius Academy. In the analysis of the contents of 80 textbooks used, it has already been mentioned through contributions in papers in other journals, and this paper attempts to describe the distribution and types of textbooks used through 80 textbooks. 2022년은 한⋅중 수교 30주년이 되는 해이다. 30년 동안 한⋅중 양국은 서로 좋은 관계를 유지하며 발전해 오고 있다. 그러나 최근 국내외에서 공자학원에 대한 비판적인 언론 보도가 잇달아 나오고 있다. 서구의 일부 국가를 중심으로 공자학원이 중국 공산당 체제와 사상을 선전하는 거점기구라며 비판하는 목소리가 커졌고, 실제로 여러 나라가 자국 내의 공자학원을 퇴출시켰다. 이에 본고는 2021년 8월을 기준으로 한국에 소재한 공자학원의 현황과 이곳에서 사용하고 있는 교재 대략 90여 종을 분석하여 공자학원에서 사용하는 교재에 대해 분석하였다. 이미 80여 종의 사용교재의 내용 분석에 있어서는 세밀한 연구를 진행 중에 있으며, 추후 계속해서 연구 분석을 할 계획이다. 본 고는 공자학원의 전반적인 서술과 1차적 자료로 80여 종의 현재 사용되는 교재를 통한 사용분포, 사용현황 및 종류를 서술하고자 한다.

중국어 언어교육의 관점에서 바라본 중국 MZ세대의 어휘사용 현황 소고

In Chinese language education in China, there is one more item that should be added to the existing linguistic education content recently, which is an Internet buzzword created through the language activities of the new generation living in the 21st century, and these vocabulary and vocabulary phenomena should not be overlooked. This is because language is directly related to the creation, development, and extinction of language in society and the culture of the members of it. This paper examines the current Chinese language policy and plans, and describes how these policies relate to the language use environment of the MZ generation, the effectiveness of the language policy, and countermeasures. In addition, as education related to traditional culture in the cultural linguistics part is on the rise recently, the vocabulary of the MZ generation viewed from the perspective of cultural linguistics was analyzed and the use status was analyzed. In addition to recognizing or criticizing the emergence of buzzwords, it should not be forgotten that it is the responsibility of researchers studying Chinese or Korean to understand social problems in the language phenomenon and to communicate with the young MZ generation and correct the wrong culture. It is also essential to continue to make efforts to solve the contradictions that have emerged based on research.

본 논고는 한국 대학 공자학원에서 채택하고 있는 교재의 내용에 대해 분석한 것이다. 2023년 9월 기준으로 한국 대학 공자학원에서 채택하고 있는 교재는 총 156권이다. 교재 내용은 전반적으로 본래 용도에 맞게 충실하게 기술하고 있으나, 일부 내용은 교재 편저자가 의식적으로 중국 체제를 언급한 프로파간다 현상이 보인다. 중국 체제를 언급한 대목 가운데 일부는 자유민주주의 체제하의 보통 한국인이 충분히 수용할 수 있는 정도의 내용이고, 일부는 그 정도가 다소 지나치거나 한국 문화를 은근히 낮추어 본 내용도 포함되어 있다. 후자의 경우는 한국 사회나 공자학원 반대 진영은 말할 것도 없고, 한중 우호를 중요시하는 한국 공자학원조차도 받아들이기 힘들다. 우리는 한국 공자학원을 퇴출하자는 극단적인 조치를 취하기보다는 한국 교육 현장 속에 집어넣고 공존 방안을 논의해야 한다. 한국 공자학원도 상기 문제점이 다시 일어나지 않도록 스스로 바로잡을 정화 노력이 필요하다. 한국 교육 관련 기관과 한국 공자학원은 양측의 호혜 발전과 한중 우호 관계라는 대전제 아래 각종 현안을 진지하게 토의하고 상호 협조할 필요가 있다. This paper analyzes the content of textbooks adopted by Confucius Institutes in Korean universities. As of September 2023, a total of 156 types of textbooks are in use in these institutes. While the content of the textbooks generally stays true to their intended purpose, there are instances where certain content appears to overtly reference the Chinese regime, suggesting a propagandistic agenda. Among the references to the Chinese regime, some portions are digestible for the average Korean familiar with a democratic system. However, some sections either overly emphasize Chinese narratives or subtly undermine Korean culture. Such content is not only objectionable to the Korean public and those opposing the Confucius Institute but is also challenging for those within the Korean Confucius Institute who value Korea-China friendships. It is imperative to introduce these issues into the Korean educational discourse for consideration rather than taking drastic measures such as expelling the Korean Confucius Institute. The Korean Confucius Institute itself should engage in introspection to ensure such issues do not recur. Both Korean educational entities and the Korean Confucius Institute need to discuss various issues closely under the overarching principle of mutual growth and Korea-China friendship, emphasizing the necessity of mutual collaboration.
