Copper is known to be one of the essential trace minerals in the organisms as an integral part of some enzyme system and found utmost in the liver. It has been well shown by Herkel, Mallory and other workers that the liver is a site of prominent storage of copper after continued administration. Since important parts of metabolic process of carbohydrate take place in the liver, it seems to be quite possible that administration of copper would influence the blood sugar level. Materials and methods Albino rabbits weighing about 2kgs were used and they were infused with 0.5cc or 1.0cc of 1% CuSO4-solution per kg. b. w. intravenously. The determination of blood sugar level was performed every 30 minutes after infusion of CuSO4-solution by Hagedorn-Jensen’s method. To investigate the effect of copper on the state of adrenalin-hyperglycemia, the determinations of blood sugar levels were done in the animals treated with CuSO4-solution daily for 3, 5, 7, or 10 days followed by subcutaneous injection of 0.1cc of 0.1% adrenalin solution per kg. b. w. Following results were obtained. 1. Administration of copper sulfate alone does not influence blood sugar level in rabbits. 2. Adrenalin effect on blood sugar is more prominent and transient in the rabbit$ treated with copper sulfate. 3. Such effect of copper to adrenalin-hyperglycemia appears to be kept more than 2 weeks after cessation of its administration.
Na_2O·Li_2O·B_2O_3·Fe_2O_3 유리系의 Mo¨ssbauer 效果硏究

Mo¨ssbauer spectra of amorphous Na_2O·Li_2O·B_2O_3·Fe_2O_3 glass were taken at room and liguid air Temperature of 300˚k and 80˚k respectively The isomer shifts A,B, and C at these temprature were measured to be (0.16mm/sec, 0.21mm/sec), (0.18mm/sec, 0.42mm/sec) and (0.23mm/sec, 0.4 mm/sec). The quadrole splitting of A,B and C were also measured as (0.73 mm/sec, 0.77 mm/sec), (0.7 mm/sec, 0.82 mm/sec) and (0.57 mm/sec, 0.68 mm/sec) at room and liguld air temperature, These data express that the isomer shifts and qnadrupole splittings of these samples increase with the decrease of temperature, and the temperature dependence of isomer shifts and quadrupole splitting could be caused by thermal excitation.
염교(Allium bakeri REGEL)의 栽培條件이 生育 및 收量에 미치는 영향에 關한 硏究

염교에 대한 適正栽植密度와 알맞은 N 施用量 및 N 分施回數를 究明코자 實施한 試驗結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1. 葉身의 伸長은 越冬期間동안 中止되었다가 해방기 以後부터 5月까지는 增加되지만 高溫期에 접어들면서 減小되었다. 2. 1球當 根數의 處理間 變化는 生育後期에 접어들면서부터 上位水準(N21kg/10α) <中位水準(N16kg/10α) <下位水準(N11kg/10α)順으로 增加되었다. 3. 播種직후부터 越冬전까지는 分球數가 增加되므로써 1球當 무게는 減少되었다. 해빙기 以後부터는 球重의 增加는 현저하였다. 또한 鱗莖의 肥大期는 4月初부터였다. 4. 염교의 增收는 N를 5回 分施하는 것이 알맞았다. 5. 2次曲線에 依한 適正栽植密度는 3.3m^2當 160.2株(30×6.9cm)였으며 適正 N施用量은 14.9kg/10α 였다. In order to determine the proper planting density, and proper amount and number of applications of N for Rakkyos(Allium bakeri), experiments were conducted and the results are as follow; 1) Rate of growth of leaf blade was discontinued during wintering and increased frow the period following spring thaw to May but decreased frow the begining of the high temperation season. 2) The change in number of roots per seed corm from the, begining of the latter part of the growth period increased at the rate of high level(N. 21kg/l0a) < medium level (N. 16 kg/l0a) < law level(N. llkg/l0a). 3) Frow the period immediately after planting, to immediately before the begining of wintering the weight per bulb decreased due to the increase in number of bulbs. The weight per bulb increased dramatically during the period following spring thaw. Also the period of increase in diameter of bulbs began in the begining of April. 4) The highest yield of Rakkyos was at five applications of N. 5) Proper planting density according to the quadratic curve was 160.2 plants per 3.3m^2(30x 6.9cm) and the proper amount of N was 14.9kg/10a.
