The location of industry is important factor building spatial structure. This study analyzes the special quality and change of urban spatial structure by seeing the location of industry. The results of this study are as follows. 1)Comparing 1986, business has increased by 71% employees 51%and industry structure has change a lot in Teagu, especially, decrease manufacture business and increase in the number of wholesale, retail sale business, accommodation and restaurant are major cause of change in industrial structure. 2)Coefficient of localization of industrial spatial unit has increased in manufacture. Wholesale and retail sale business administration and industrial service business comparing 1986. Tendency of location in C.B.D. has decrease in all business industry except electric and water service business. These changes indicate spread and suburbanization of industry. 3)We can see definite difference of spatial distribution of each industry finance and building industry has strong tendency of location in C.B.D. Manufacture business and electric and water service business which need large land has strong tendency of suburbanization. Whole sale and retail sale business accommodation restaurant administration and individual service business which has close relationship with consumer tends to locate in C.B.D. or special district. These special qualities of industry distribution and change of location are phenomena in the process of urban growth and are good data for spatial policy and plan.

Recently in metropolitan area when existing facilities are transfered, the existing site is being developed for other land use. Such changes in the land use of the site greately affects the structure of the cities space and the surrounding area. Thus, this research is focused on analyzing the affect of the land use of the surrounding area when an existing site is transfered to other sites or locations. This article is based on the observation of actually transfered sites in Daegu city and the problems which arouse while developing the transfered sites. The change of the land use of the transfered site was analized and attitudes of the local residents were observed. Thus, based on the study, problems occurring from future site transfers can be predicted and suggestions are presented.

This study is object that is enlarging for housing site development. In order to study that, the present condition of residential development is examined. The problem existed in the method of main streams of residential development is to bring out and new method of residential development is considered. The base underpinnings of it improvement of existing development technique, management of development method, use of new techneque are to grope how to supply the improvement schemes for residential development.

This treatise aims to know the distribution types in urban facilities, by means of econometric analysis. The results is this ; 1)distribution types in urban facilities are consisted of aggregation type, scattered type, random type. 2)The educational facilities including elemantary school and middle school are existed in random type. The public facilites including village office, and so forth are existed in scatted type. The commercial facilities including hospital, clothing store are existed in aggregation type respectively. 3)Also, distribution in urban facilities is greatly affected by main rode, zoning, public facilities, and so on.

The main purpose of this study is to suggest some policy directions for a better residential environment in detached housing area in case of Taegu metropolitan city. In order to consider the change of urban spatial structure, study areas are classified into three zone-CBD, inner zone and outer zone. A field survey is conducted to measure residential satisfaction levels in term of safety, health and convenience. The main findings of this research can be summarized as follows. In general, the level of residential satisfaction at CBD is the worst with the lowest levels of the all three measures, while that of outer zone is the best with some dificiencies in term of health. The major determinants of the levels of residential satisfaction are found out to be (i) privacy protection, public transport, air quality and neighborhood facilities in case of CBD, (ii) cleanliness, fire protection, sunlighting and shopping facilities in case of inner zone, and (iii) public transport in case of outer zone. As is discussed, zonal problem is unique.

The balance between tissue-type plasminogen activator (t-PA) and plasminogen activator inhibitor type 1 (PAI-1) regulates fibrinolysis. PAI-1 expression increases in atherosclerotic arteries and vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) are one of major constituents of atheroma. We investigated the impact of lysophosphatidylcholine (lysoPC), an active component of oxidized low-density lipoprotein, on the plasminogen activator system of the rat VSMCs. The lysoPC stimulated the protein and gene expressions of PAI-1 but did not affect the protein expression of t-PA. Fibrin overlay zymography revealed that lysoPC increased the activity of PAI-1 in the conditioned media, while concurrently decreasing that of free t-PA. Vitamin E inhibited the lysoPC-induced PAI-1 expression. Further, lysoPC increased the intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation. Caffeic acid phenethyl ester, an inhibitor of NF-κB, blocked this lysoPC effect. Indeed, lysoPC induced the NF-κBmediated transcriptional activity as measured by luciferase reporter assay. In addition,genistein, an inhibitor of protein-tyrosine kinase (PTK), diminished the lysoPC effect, while 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene, a stimulator of PTK, stimulated PAI-1 production. In conclusion, lysoPC does not affect t-PA expression but induces PAI-1 expression in the VSMC by mediating NF-κB and the genistein-sensitive PTK signaling pathways via oxidative stress. Importantly, lysoPC stimulates the enzyme activity of PAI-1 and suppresses that of t-PA.

This study analyzes quality and change of urban spatial structure. The results of this study are as follows. 1)As a result of analysis of spatial structure by distance-decay model. Taegu has one center that has no definite 2)C.B.D. in Taegu decreased settled population in 1986 and this phenomena are going further with suburbanization of population. 3)Taegu has character of monocentric but working places suburbanize. Suburbanization of working place is not as clear as suburbanization of population. 4)In the past 10 years, spatial structure in Taegu has changed a lot. This change is expected to continue with Taegu spatial policy. Spatial structure in Taegu has character of monocentric but it has good possibility of change polycentric. Therefore, local government should do active politic agreement first before C.B.D. spatialpolicy.
