Modeling and Evaluation of Slip-Mode Frequency Shift Method for Anti-islanding Method

Islanding phenomenon is undesirable because it lead to a safety hazard to utility service personnel and may cause damage to power generation and power supply facilities as a result of unsynchronized reclosure. In order to prevent this phenomenon, various anti-islanding methods have been studied. Even though the slip mode frequency shift (SMS) method has been regarded as a highly effective anti-islanding method, the analytical design method of that was not cleared. This paper proposes a modeling of the SMS method using non-detection zone (NDZ) and evaluation of the method according to the test conditions of IEEE Std. 929-2000. The SMS method is derived analytically through the modeling and verified visually by simulation and experiment.

As photovoltaic (PV) systems have been installed widely across the world due to evironmental pollution and shortage of fossil fuel, the component technologies of PV have been improved and upgraged. Especially, in the field of PV inverter, the module integrated converter has been received a recent attention because it is easy to install as plug and play and flexible to expand the system capacity, etc. In this paper, the recent technical trend of photovoltaic module integrated converter is presented. The kinds of module integrated converters and their features are compared.

In high power application, however, the bridge diode loss 10 the boost converter has made the efficiency lower and the temperature of the board higher. A new approach without bridge d10de to make the same characteristics of the conventional boost converter has also been developed This paper present the comparisons between the continuous current mode(CCM) operated conventional boost converter and the boundary current mode(BCM) operated the bridgeless boost converter for high efficiency and high power factor

1960년대부터 시작된 우리 나라의 해외농업개발사업은 1980년대 이후 국가주도의 농장개발형에서 민간주도의 개발수입형으로 바뀌게 된다. 경상북도에 의해 처음 실시된 지자체지원형 해외농업개발사업은 축산사료의 개발수입이 목적이었지만, 여러 가지 사정으로 인하여 지역출신 농기업체에게 자금을 지원하는 형태로 전개되었다. 이 연구는 이러한 지자체지원형 해외농업개발사업의 문제점을 파악하고, 이 사업과 관련하여 지자체가 나아가야 할 방향을 모색하는데 목적을 두었다. 지자체에 의한 해외농업개발사업의 내용으로는 농기업에 대해 융자지원을 통해 사업비를 지원하거나 현지 합작을 유도하는 방법, 그리고 생산물의 가공공정을 거친 후 수입하는 방법이 있을 수 있다. 그러나 지자체가 이 사업을 위해서는 무엇보다 정책적 목표 달성을 위한 정밀한 점검, 철저한 사전조사, 지자체간 협조채널 구축 등이 필요하다. 그리고 생산 분야와 더불어 가공, 유통, 자재산업, 종자생산 등 다양한 분야에 대해 단계적으로 그리고 시범적으로 추진하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 보인다. In the 1960s Korea started to form an appropriate pattern of the overseas agricultural development project through the timely immigration policy under the given circumstances. However, in the 1980s, the project began to be transformed from state-led farm development into the type of private-initiated development import. Even though the local government-supported overseas agricultural development project was carried out initially in Kyungsangbukdo to secure feed grains, it focuses on providing funds for agricultural firms, due to reasons combined. This study aims to analyze the problem of the local government-supported overseas agricultural development project. Further its object is to explore the correct direction of the role of local government in relation to the project. This study concludes that the successful performance of the local government-supported overseas agricultural development project demands the goal achievement strategy based upon a close examination and cooperative system of participants involved. It is also important to extend project areas from agricultural production to processing, marketing, seed distribution, and other agricultural material production industries, by stages.

This paper proposes a novel sensorless maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm for PV systems. The method is based on dividing the operating time into several intervals in which the PV terminals are short circuited in one interval and the calculated short-current of the PV is obtained and used to determine the optimum operating point where the maximum output power can be obtained. The proposed MPPT algorithm has been introduced into a current-controlled boost converter whose duty ratio is controlled to the maintain MPP condition. The same sequence is then repeated regularly capturing the PV maximum power. The main advantage of this method is eliminating the current sensor. Meanwhile, this MPPT algorithm reduces the power oscillations around the peak power point which occurs with perturbation and observation algorithms. In addition, the total cost will decrease by removing the current sensor from the PV side. Finally, simulation results confirm the accuracy of the proposed method.

Islanding phenomenon is undesirable because it lead to a safety hazard to utility service personnel and may cause damage to power generation and power supply facilities as a result of unsynchronized reclosure. In order to prevent the phenomenon, various anti-islanding methods have been studied. This paper proposes the variation method of inverter output current magnitude to prevent the islanding phenomenon as a novel method, which causes the large frequency variation of inverter output voltage after islanding. Unlike most active anti-islanding method deteriorating power quality, this novel method will have high performance of islanding detection and good power quality. For the verification of the proposed method, the simulated result and analyses are presented.
