      • 심전도의 디지털 기록화 모듈과 개인용컴퓨터 저장/분석시스템의 개발

        연구목적: 현재 우리나라의 의료분야에서는 정보기술의 발전으로 처방 전달 시스템과 전자차트의 활용이 상용화 되고 있으나 병원내에서 가장 많이 처방되고 검사되는 12-유도 심전도의 디지털화와 이에 연계된 심전도 결과의 개인용 컴퓨터로의 저장, 인터넷을 이용한 병원으로의 전송이나 타 기관에서의 심전도 결과의 동시 관찰 등에 관한 기술 등은 개발되지 못한 상태이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 심전도를 디지털화하며 저장이 가능한 PC 모듈을 개발하고 심전도 결과를 병원 전산 시스템에 포함시켜 병원내외에서 편리하게 조회, 검색할 수 있는 디지털 인터페이스를 개발하려 하였다. 재료 및 방법 : 낮은 전력에서 잡음특성이 우수한 대역여파기와 증폭기를 설계하였으며 각종기능이 내장된 고신뢰성 프로세서를 채택하였으며 전원 잡음이 고려된 필터와 전원 회로 설계로 하드웨어를 개발하였다. MSC 6.0과 Visual Basic 6.0을 바탕으로 하여 active X 모듈화를 유도하고 조회용 PC에서의 복원과 PACS로의 연동을 통해 순환기내과용 PACS 개발이 가능하도록 소프트웨어를 준비하였다. 결과: 심전도 검사자가 쉽게 장착, 검사가 가능한 소형화된 측정 모듈을 개발하였고 극저전류에서 동작이 가능하였으며 우수한 데이터의 압축 및 복원률을 구현하였다. 결론: 이번 심전도 디지털 모듈의 개발로 기존의 감광지에 의존하던 심전도 결과의 보존과 보관공간에 의한 경제적인 손실을 상당 부분 해결할 수 있으며 OCS에 연계된 결과로 인해 원내에서의 다면적 진료가 가능하다. 이번 연구에서 개발된 기술은 향후 디지털화된 심전도 기록장치와 같은 고부가 의료장치의 국산화와 광파일 의무기록 시스템이나 검사물의 무선 전송에 채용되어 의료 전달 체계나 응급체계의 발전에 기여하리라 사료된다. Purpose : The progressed communication technology commercialized the order communication system ( OCS) and the electric medical records( EMR) in the field of medicine in Korea. However, technologies of digitalization such as recording to personal computer, transfer to internet and simultaneous observation of electrocardiogram ( ECG) recorded at the different center were not realized yet. This study tried to invent personal computer module that can digitalize and record of the ECG and design the digital interface that can approach and search digitalized ECG in various part of hospital simultaneously. Materials and Methods : We had designed high-fidelity digital filter and amplifier which can work in very low voltage, had selected multifunctioned microprocessor. Activation X modulation was conducted by MSC 6.0 and Visual Basic 6.0. Softwares were prepared for the transfer of ECG informations from terminal PC to PACS and cardiologic PACS was designed for future application. Results : We have developed the small, portable, very low voltage managed ECG module and high quality digitalized information compression software in OCS and PACS. Conclusion : This invented ECG digital archive module can save hospital cost by substitution of ECG papers for digital storage or on-line storage, therefore ECG data can be handled in multisector of the hospital and through telemedicine. This technology can be applied to domestic ECG digitalizing device development and effective medical transfer system by adoption cordless medical information delivery.

        Mobile nodes in ad hoc mobile networks typically communicate over wireless channels and are capable of movement. These are networks that support multihop communication and can be formed on a temporary basis. This paper proposes a solution that allows mobile nodes to access the wired Internet and to roam from base station to base station. And we also develop the efficient method that adapts in Global MANET which can be changed over time. It is observed that we can reduce not only error detection time but also network load, thus increasing the data reception rate in Global MANET Environment.

        Pathological lesions and antigen localization in chicken, ducks and Japanese quail naturally infected by novel highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N6), Korea, 2016

        Epizootic HPAIV, H5N6, and H5N8 infections produced severe loss in poultry and wild birds in the Republic of Korea from 2016 to 2017. But pathological lesions and antigen distribution of the novel HPAIV H5N6 clade 2.3.4.4 in natural cases have been rarely reported. Herein, we describe the pathological lesions and antigen localization in chickens (layer and Korean native), ducks, and Japanese quail naturally infected by HPAIV H5N6. Grossly, severe reddening, swelling, and some necrotic foci, which were similar to septicemia or viremia, were observed in skin and many visceral organs including trachea, lung, liver, spleen, and pancreas. Histopathologically, pulmonary congestion and edema, as well as necrotizing hepatitis, splenitis, pancreatitis, myocarditis, and encephalitis were observed. Immunohistochemically, numerous HPAIV antigens were detected in necrotic parenchymal cells and in blood vessels of the respiratory, lymphoid, digestive, urinary, nervous, and cardiovascular systems. The results indicate that HPAIV H5N6 spread to the entire body via blood and caused severe damage throughout the entire body. The HPAI H5N6 clade 2.3.4.4 virus was isolated from samples of all four cases.

      • 등검은말벌집 방제용 드론 약액 살포장치 설계 및 제작

        2003년 국내 유입된 외래종 등검은말벌(Asian Hornet)은 2016년 전국으로 확산되어 양봉 농가에 큰 피해(꿀벌 봉군 전체의 약 30% 이상)를 주고 있다(Kim et al., 2017, Yu et al., 2020.). 이에 따른 방제 비용과 피해액은 연간 약 1,750억원 이상이 발생하는 것으로 추정하고 있다(Kim, 2017). 양봉장 주변의 나무 높은 곳에 위치하고 있는 등검은말벌을 퇴치하기 위해서는 여왕벌이 서식하는 말벌집을 물리적으로 제거하거나 화학적 살충 방제하는 것이 효과적이다. 이에 최근 농업에 활발히 보급되고 있는 방제용 드론을 개량해 말벌집에 직접 약액을 살포하는 기술 개발이 필요하다(YU, et. al., 2020). 본 연구에서는 선행 말벌집 퇴치 현황 등 설계요인을 분석한 결과를 기초로 하여 드론에 탑재가 가능하고 말벌집에 직접 살충제를 분사할 수 있는 드론용 살포장치를 설계 제작하였다. 드론용 약액 살포장치는 선행된 설계요인을 분석하여 물리적 제거와 화학적 살충 방법 각각의 강점을 복합적으로 사용하여 상호 보완할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 드론용 약액 살포를 위하여 살포 분사대(카본 φ10mm X 1m, 직분사노즐, 모터펌프(9bar 이상), 타깃팅용 영상모니터링 장치, 살포 각 제어장치 등으로 구성하였다. 또한 말벌집 표면은 물에 잘 젖지 않는 특성이 있어 분사 약액만으로 말벌집 전체 살충에 어려움이 있어 말벌집 표면에 구멍을 뚫어 살충액을 내부까지 침투시키고자 하였다. 이에 말벌집으로부터 3~5m 거리에서 약액 살포와 동시에 말벌집 표면에 구멍을 뚫을 수 있는 타공장치를 제작하였다. 이 타공장치는 공기압축 방식의 전동식 공기압축 실린더를 사용하였으며, 이 실린더에 장착이 가능한 원형 탄환을 적용하여 실린터 압축력으로 이 탄환이 날아가 말벌집 표면을 타공할 수 있도록 하였다. 이와 같이 제작된 타공장치는 분당 최대 300회 구멍을 뚫을 수 있으며, 동시에 약액을 말벌집 내부까지 분사해 살충 효과를 높일 수 있도록 제작 하였다.

      • All-ceramic Crown 용 도재의 굽힘강도에 관한 비교연구

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the fracture resistance of the four kinds of dental porcelains for the all-ceramic crown(Vita In-Ceram, Vita Hi-Ceram, IPS-Empress, Vitadur-N) and one kind for the metal-ceramic crown(Vita VMK 68) was used as the control group. In order to determine the fracture resistance, the hi-axial flexure strength was measured at a crosshead speed of 0.5㎜/min, and the Victors hadrness was measured at an indentation load of 1㎏ for 20 seconds. The results obtained were summarized as follows ; 1. The maximum Weibull modulus of 24.61 for Vitadur-N and the minimum one of 8.82 for IPS-Empress were observed ; the maximum characteristic strength of 353.26MPa for Vita In-Ceram and the minimum that of 63.20MPa for Vitadur-N were also observed. 2. The maximum mean bi-axial flexure strength of 339.12MPa for Vita In-Ceram and thd minimum one of 61.99MPa for Vitadur-N were calculated. Results of the Scheffe test indicated that the statistically significant difference(P<0.05) existed between Vita In-Ceram or Vita Hi-Ceram and the others ; also beween IPS-Empress and Vitadur-N. 3. The maximum mean hardness of 980.55㎏/㎟ for Vita VMK 68 appeared. Results of the Sche^ffe test indicated that statistically significant difference(P<0.05) existed between Vita In-Ceram or Vita Hi-Ceram and the others ; also between IPS-Empress and Vita VMK 68.

        <P>Conclusions The BABA training model is an excellent educational tool for surgical residents and surgical fellows to learn and practice BABA RT. Assessment by BABA score yielded objective results comparable to those of traditional scoring methodologies.</P>

      • Design of Ion Pump Power Supply Based on <i>LCC</i> Resonant Converter

        <P>In this paper, the detailed design of an ion pump power supply is presented. The ion pump power supply was designed based on an <I>LCC</I> resonant topology with high switching frequency to take advantage of a smaller transformer for isolation. Because the proposed ion pump power supply has a 7-kV, 50-mA specification, high-voltage insulation is required. In order to secure insulation reliability, the power supply was designed with eight separate transformers that share primary turns. The spacing between the primary turns and secondary turns allows for increases in the leakage inductance and parasitic capacitance of the transformer. A compact design can be achieved using the parasitic component generated by the proposed design as the resonant parameters of the <I>LCC</I> resonant converter. In addition, based on a trapezoidal approximation of the <I>LCC</I> resonant converter, the resonant parameters are designed to have trapezoidal shapes of the resonant current in order to reduce conduction loss. Finally, the results of the experiment indicate that the developed ion pump power supply can be used effectively in high-voltage and low-current applications.</P>

        Growth responses of Brevibadterium ammoniagenes BA 17-2, which had been obtained by the treatment of several mutagens in our previous report, were investigated to select the preliminary optimal concentrations of phosphate, Mg^(++), Mn^(++) and thiamine for the production of 5'-XMP aminase. In this experiment it was shown that the concentration of phosphate in the medium has an important effect on the growth of microorganism. Using the medium containing 0.2% of MgSO₄·7H₂O, 3㎎/ℓ of MnSO₄·H₂O, and 1㎎/ℓ of thiamine-HCl, the maximum cell mass was obtained at the concentration of 0.4% of KH₂PO₄ and KH₂PO₄, respectively. Above the concentration of these phosphates, cell growth was inhibited as the phosphate concentration increased to 1?0, but the inhibition was overcome by the addition of 1% of MgSO₄·7H₂O and 3㎎/ℓ of thiamine-HCl. The 5'-XMP aminase activity was also influenced by the concentration of phosphate, Mg^(++), Mn^(++), and thiamine. In addition, the optimal culture pH and temperature for the enzyme activity were found to be 6.8 and 32℃, respectively.

        Improvement of Field-Emission Characteristics of Carbon Nanotubes by Post Electrical Treatment

        <P>The field-emission characteristics of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), such as uniformity and brightness, were improved by electrical treatment using nonstationary electric fields between the cathode of screen-printed CNT emitters and the anode of a phosphor-coated indium-tin-oxide glass substrate in diode configuration. Dead or weak emission spots, where almost no emission of electrons was observed, started to emit electrons by applying an alternating-current voltage to the cathode electrode and a constant voltage to the anode electrode. The nonstationary electrical treatment was more effective than the direct-current (dc) and the square-pulsed electrical treatments for the emission uniformity and brightness. It was found that the nonstationary electrical treatment not only activated CNT emitters but also suppressed abnormally high emission spots without the drawbacks of electrical breakdown. Consequently, more than 1.8 and 1.3 times improvements of emission uniformity and brightness, respectively, were obtained after the treatment, when compared with the dc electrical treatment for the same amount of emission currents and the same duration of the treatments. Therefore, the method can be effectively applied to field-emission devices based on CNTs for the enhancement of emission properties.</P>

        A Study on the Effect of Petroleum Resin on Vibration Damping Characteristics of Natural Rubber Composites

        In this study, the effect of petroleum resin on the mechanical strength, morphology, and vibration damping characteristics of natural rubber (NR) composites was observed. The NR composites plasticized by adding petroleum resin showed decreased hardness and mechanical properties. A morphology analysis indicated that as the amount of petroleum resin increased, carbon black aggregates (or agglomerates) observed at the fracture surface decreased, resulting in an improvement in the dispersibility. In addition, as 20 phr of petroleum resin was added, the effective damping temperature range increased by approximately 11.4%, the hysteresis loss rate increased by 15.2%, and the resilience decreased by 36.6%. Therefore, it was confirmed that the vibration damping characteristics improved with the addition of petroleum resin. This was because the rubber-filler interaction between the NR molecular chain of the NR composite and the carbon black particles improved by the addition of petroleum resin.
