‘삼국 서사’의 개작과 변주-김동인의 『아기네』와 『서라벌』을 중심으로-

본고는 김동인의 『아기네』(1932)와 이를 개작하여 출간한 『화랑도』(1949) 등 이른 바 ‘삼국 서사’를 표방한 작품과 『서라벌』(1947)의 서사적 관련성을 검토하여 ‘개작’의 관점에서 『서라벌』의 텍스트적 특성과 의미를 분석하고자 했다. 『아기네』, 『화랑도』와 『서라벌』의 주된 차이는 서사가 아닌 서술기법에서 발견된다. 『아기네』는 ‘아동문학’의 차원으로, 김동인이 자신의 아들에게 보내는 서간의 형식을 취한 점 등이 본격적인 ‘소설 역사’를 표방한 『서라벌』과 이질적이다. 두 작품의 주제 및 서사의 골자는 거의 동일하고 세부적인 표현이 장르 문법에 따라 상이한 수준이다. 이를 통해 김동인이 『아기네』 속 삼국 서사를 『서라벌』로 개작 혹은 재창작한 것임을 알 수 있다. 『아기네』에 대한 기존 평가나 논의가 ‘아동문학’적 관점에서 이루어진 것과 달리, 실제 ‘삼국 서사’에 해당하는 부분은 이후 발표된 『서라벌』의 내용, 어조와 크게 다르지 않다. 아동문학적 성격에 해당하는 부분과 별도로 ‘삼국 서사’에 해당하는 부분은 역사소설이나 사담(史談)의 성격이 강한 것이다. 김동인이 1947년에 집필한 『서라벌』의 서사적 토대가 된 것이 바로 『아기네』 속 ‘삼국 서사’라고 말할 수 있는 근거가 여기에 있다. Kim Dong-in's historical novel “Seorabal” was published in 1953, not in 1948. But, for a long time, the first edition was wrongly reported to have been published in 1948. It is true that under various circumstances, it is difficult to prove the publication of this work in 1948. It is a combination of personal affairs of Kim Dong-in and social situations during his liberation period. Based on this possibility, this paper conducted an investigation and analysis on the original version of the “Seorabal”. Specifically, the association between “Agine”(1932) and “Hwarangdo”(1949) was reviewed to identify and analyze the characteristics of the “Seorabal” from the perspective of adaption and variation. The themes and the narrative of the two works are almost identical. However, the detailed expression has changed a little, and the genre is different. This shows Kim Dongin recreated or adapted the 'three nations narrative' in “Agine” into “Seorabal”. It is the ‘three nations narrative’ in “Agine” that became the basis for the “Seorabal”, which was written by Kim Dongin in 1947.

Recent investigations have revealed that the human microbiome plays an essential role in the occurrence of type 2 diabetes (T2D). However, despite the importance of understanding the involvement of the microbiota throughout the body in T2D, most studies have focused specifically on the intestinal microbiota. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have been recently found to provide important evidence regarding the mechanisms of T2D pathogenesis, as they act as key messengers between intestinal microorganisms and the host. Herein, we explored microorganisms potentially associated with T2D by tracking changes in microbiota-derived EVs from patient urine samples collected three times over four years. Mendelian randomization analysis was conducted to evaluate the causal relationships among microbial organisms, metabolites, and clinical measurements to provide a comprehensive view of how microbiota can influence T2D. We also analyzed EV-derived metagenomic (N = 393), clinical (N = 5032), genomic (N = 8842), and metabolite (N = 574) data from a prospective longitudinal Korean community-based cohort. Our data revealed that GU174097_g, an unclassified Lachnospiraceae, was associated with T2D (β = −189.13; p = 0.00006), and it was associated with the ketone bodies acetoacetate and 3-hydroxybutyrate (r = −0.0938 and −0.0829, respectively; p = 0.0022 and 0.0069, respectively). Furthermore, a causal relationship was identified between acetoacetate and HbA1c levels (β = 0.0002; p = 0.0154). GU174097_g reduced ketone body levels, thus decreasing HbA1c levels and the risk of T2D. Taken together, our findings indicate that GU174097_g may lower the risk of T2D by reducing ketone body levels.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the needs for paying nursing homes for the middle-aged. Method: The subjects consisted of 365 people aged from 40 to 59 residing in Seoul. The questionnaire was composed of the general characteristics of the subjects, recognition and the intention of utilizing paying nursing homes, expenses of paying nursing homes, the operator of paying nursing homes, environment of paying nursing homes, and the service of paying nursing homes. Result: The frequency of the subjects with intentions of utilizing nursing homes was 48.2%. Gerontological nurse practitioners were preferred as the operators of nursing homes by 72.9% of the subjects. The majority of the subjects hoped to receive medical and nursing service in paying nursing homes. Conclusion: The results indicate that there are needs for high quality, low expense paying nursing homes. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect the needs of the subjects when designing the facility.

Myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) is known as an adaptor protein for the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family and participates in signal transduction by binding to the cytoplasmic Toll/IL-1 receptor (TIR) domains of activated TLR. In this study, we demonstrated that expression of MyD88 is increased in photoaged skin compared with intrinsic aged human skin of the same elderly individuals, and that acute UV irradiation increases MyD88 expression in human skin in vivo. To investigate the effects of these high levels of MyD88 in photoaged skin and acutely UV-irradiated skin, human epidermal keratinocytes were infected with adenovirus expressing wild-type (MyD88wt), dominant-positive (MyD88ΔC), and dominant-negative (MyD88ΔN) MyD88 forms. Overexpression of MyD88wt and MyD88ΔC, but not of MyD88ΔN, increased the basal expressions of IL-6 and matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) in human epidermal keratinocytes. Moreover, overexpression of MyD88ΔN prevented UV-induced expressions of IL-6 and MMP-1 by inhibiting UV-induced activation of NF-κB and activating protein-1. These results suggest that MyD88 is important in IL-6 and MMP-1 expressions in both acutely UV-irradiated skin and in chronically sun-exposed human skin.Journal of Investigative Dermatology (2009) 129, 460–467; doi:10.1038/jid.2008.261; published online 21 August 2008
食生活科 學生의 血淸內 Vitamin A 및 Carotene 含量調査

식생활과 학생의 영양상태을 조사하기 위하여 혈액내 Vitamin A 및 Carotene의 농도를 측정하였다. 결과는 Vitamin A와 Carotene은 거의가 다 적당량 이상을 갖이고 있었다. 앞으로 우리 학생들의 철저한 영양조사를 할려면 계절에 따른 변화와 Vitamin A 및 Carotene외 Vitamin와 Riboflavin, Thiamine N'-methylnicotinamide 같은 것을 같이 조사하였으면 좋을 것 같다.
