Transmit Precoder Design for Two-User Broadcast Channel with Statistical and Delayed CSIT

( Yanjing Sun ),( Shu Zhou ),( Qi Cao ),( Yanfen Wang ),( Wen Liu ),( Xiaoguang Zhang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.5

Recent studies have revealed the efficacy of incorporating delayed channel state information at transmit side (CSIT) in transmission scheme design. This paper focuses on transmit precoder design to maximize the ergodic sum-rate in a two-user Multiple-Input Single-Output (MISO) system with delayed and statistical CSIT. A new transmit strategy which precodes signals in all transmit slots is proposed in this paper, denoted as all time-slots precoding Alternative MAT (AAMAT). There is a common procedure in conventional delayed-CSIT based schemes, which is retransmitting the overheard interferences. Since the retransmitting signal is intended to both users, all previous schemes tend to use only one antenna. We however figure out an improvement in spectral efficiency could be realized if all antennas can be utilized. In this paper, we detail the design of the procoder which enabling all antennas and also we compute a lower bound of the ergodic sum-rate in an ideal condition. In addition, simulation results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed scheme.

A Three-way Handshaking Access Mechanism for Point to Multipoint In-band Full-duplex Wireless Networks

( Haiwei Zuo ),( Yanjing Sun ),( Changlin Lin ),( Song Li ),( Hongli Xu ),( Zefu Tan ),( Yanfen Wang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2016 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.10 No.7

In-band Full-duplex (IBFD) wireless communication allows improved throughput for wireless networks. The current Half-duplex (HD) medium access mechanism Request to Send/Clear to Send (RTS/CTS) has been directly applied to IBFD wireless networks. However, this is only able to support a symmetric dual link, and does not provide the full advantages of IBFD. To increase network throughput in a superior way to the HD mechanism, a novel three-way handshaking access mechanism RTS/SRTS (Second Request to Send)/CTS is proposed for point to multipoint (PMP) IBFD wireless networks, which can support both symmetric dual link and asymmetric dual link communication. In this approach, IBFD wireless communication only requires one channel access for two-way simultaneous packet transmissions. We first describe the RTS/SRTS/CTS mechanism and the symmetric/asymmetric dual link transmission procedure and then provide a theoretical analysis of network throughput and delay using a Markov model. Using simulations, we demonstrate that the RTS/SRTS/CTS access mechanism shows improved performance relative to that of the RTS/CTS HD access mechanism.

A Medium Access Control Mechanism for Distributed In-band Full-Duplex Wireless Networks

( Haiwei Zuo ),( Yanjing Sun ),( Song Li ),( Qiang Ni ),( Xiaolin Wang ),( Xiaoguang Zhang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.11

In-band full-duplex (IBFD) wireless communication supports symmetric dual transmission between two nodes and asymmetric dual transmission among three nodes, which allows improved throughput for distributed IBFD wireless networks. However, inter-node interference (INI) can affect desired packet reception in the downlink of three-node topology. The current Half-duplex (HD) medium access control (MAC) mechanism RTS/CTS is unable to establish an asymmetric dual link and consequently to suppress INI. In this paper, we propose a medium access control mechanism for use in distributed IBFD wireless networks, FD-DMAC (Full-Duplex Distributed MAC). In this approach, communication nodes only require single channel access to establish symmetric or asymmetric dual link, and we fully consider the two transmission modes of asymmetric dual link. Through FD-DMAC medium access, the neighbors of communication nodes can clearly know network transmission status, which will provide other opportunities of asymmetric IBFD dual communication and solve hidden node problem. Additionally, we leverage FD-DMAC to transmit received power information. This approach can assist communication nodes to adjust transmit powers and suppress INI. Finally, we give a theoretical analysis of network performance using a discrete-time Markov model. The numerical results show that FD-DMAC achieves a significant improvement over RTS/CTS in terms of throughput and delay.

Power allocation for full-duplex NOMA relaying based underlay D2D communications

( Song Li ),( Shuo Li ),( Yanjing Sun ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.1

In this paper, a full-duplex NOMA relaying based underlay device-to-device (D2D) communication scheme is proposed, in which D2D transmitter assists cellular downlink transmission as a full-duplex relay. Specifically, D2D transmitter receives signals from base station and transmits the superposition signals to D2D receiver and cellular user in NOMA scheme simultaneously. Furthermore, we investigate the power allocation under the proposed scheme, aiming to maximize D2D link’s achievable transmit rate under cellular link’s transmit rate constraint and total power constraint. To tackle the power allocation problem, we first propose a power allocation method based on linear fractional programming. In addition, we derive closed-form expressions of the optimal transmit power for base station and D2D transmitter. Simulation results show that the performance of two solutions matches well and the proposed full-duplex NOMA relaying based underlay D2D communication scheme outperforms existing full-duplex relaying based D2D communication scheme.

Preventive Effect of Bupleurum chinense on Nasal Inflammation via Suppressing T Helper Type 2, Eosinophil and Mast Cell Activation

Bui, Thi Tho,Piao, Chun Hua,Hyeon, Eunjin,Fan, Yanjing,Choi, Dae Woon,Jung, Sun Young,Jang, Byung-Hyun,Shin, Hee Soon,Song, Chang Ho,Chai, Ok Hee Institute for Advanced Research in Asian Science a 2019 The American journal of Chinese medicine Vol. No.

Bupleurum chinense is distributed in East Asia and has been used as a traditional herbal medicine for more than a thousand years. Though B. chinense has been reported to have immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, hepato-protective, antipyretic, analgesic and antifibrotic effects, its specific effect on allergic rhinitis disease has not been clarified. In this study, we investigated the anti-allergic and anti-inflammation effects of B. chinense extract (BCE) in an ovalbumin (OVA)-induced allergic rhinitis (AR) mouse model. Oral administration of BCE in a dose-independent manner regulated the balance of Th1/Th2/Treg cell differentiation in AR mice. Accordingly, BCE attenuated the expression of Th2-related cytokines such as IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13 in nasal lavage fluid (NALF) and nasal tissue and up-regulated the secretion of Th1/Treg cells including IL-10, IL-12 and IFN-<TEX>$ \gamma $</TEX>. Also, BCE inhibited the formation and migration of eosinophils to the nasal mucosa and NALF, as well as suppressed CCL24, an eosinophil-specific chemoattractant in NALF. The levels of anti-OVA specific IgE and anti-OVA specific IgG1 were decreased, and as a result, the allergic response was attenuated by BCE via inhibiting mast cells accumulation in nasal mucosa and serum histamine release. The nasal allergy symptoms, nasal mucosal swelling, epithelial barrier disruption and mucus hyperplasia were obviously ameliorated. These results suggest that BCE may have therapeutic potential for treating allergic rhinitis through modulating the accumulation and activation of important leukocytes in the immune system such as Th1, Th2, Treg, eosinophils and mast cells.

Abstract

Piper nigrum L. is commonly used as a traditional medicine and food in many countries. It has been reported to have anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-tumor, anti-mutagenic, anti-diabetic, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, the effect of P. nigrum on allergic rhinitis (AR) has been unclear. In the present study, an OVA-induced AR mice model were established to investigate the anti-allergic, anti-inflammation properties of P. nigrum fruit extract (PNE). Oral administrations of PNE inhibited the allergic nasal symptoms including rubbing and sneezing in the early-phage of AR. In both NALF and nasal tissue, PNE suppressed the inflammatory cells accumulation, specifically with eosinophils in NALF. Additionally, PNE prevented the activation of STAT3 and NFκBp65 signaling in the cytoplasm which led to increasing the synthesis of the anti-inflammatory Th1 cytokines and suppressing the inflammatory Th2, Th17 cytokines. These obtained results suggest that PNE has the promising strategy for immunotherapy in allergic rhinitis disease.

Highlights

The anti-allergic rhinitis effect of Piper nigrum is investigated.

Piper nigrum ameliorates nasal symptoms and mucosal swelling.

Piper nigrum prevents the activation of STAT3 and NFκBp65 signaling.

Piper nigrum provides a promising strategy for immunotherapy for allergic rhinitis treatment.

Graphical abstract

[DISPLAY OMISSION]
