      • Phenyl-N-benzoylchlorothioformimidate 誘導體의 加水分解 反應 메카니즘

        25℃의 30%(v/v) dioxane-물의 혼합용매 속에서 pH 변화에 따른 X와 Y-치환된 phenyl-N-benzoylchlorothioformimidates(S)들의 가수분해 반응 속도상수를 측정하여 반응속도식을 유도하고, 경계 궤도 함수 상호작용, 용매효과, 일반 염기 촉매효과, 열 역학적 활성화 파라미터, 및 가수분해반응 생성물 분석 등의 결과로부터 pH 10.0 이하의 낮은 pH에서는 azocarbocation 중간체를 지나는 S_N1형 반응, pH 11.0 이상의 높은 pH에서는 사면체 중간체를 지나는 친핵성 첨가-제거(Ad_N-E)반응 그리고 pH 10.0과 11.0 사이에서는 이들 두가지 유형의 궤도 조절 반응이 서로 경쟁적으로 일어남을 제안하였다. The rate constants of hydrolysis of phenyl-N-benzoylchlorothioformimidates were determined by UV. spectrophotometry in 30% (v/v) aqueous dioxane at 25℃. On the basis of rate equation, general base catalysis, solvent effect, substituent effect, thermodynamic parameters, frontier orbital interaction and hydrolysis product analysis, it may be concluded that the hydrolysis of phenyl-N-benzoylchlorothioformimidates proceed through S_N1 mechanism via azocarbocation intermidiate below pH 10.0, while above pH 10.00 the hydrolysis proceeds through nucleophilic addition-elimination (Ad_N-E) mechanism. In the range of pH from 10.0 to 11.0 these two reaction occur competitavely.

        25℃의 50%(v/v) 메탄올-물의 혼합용매 속에서 pH 변화에 따른 X-치환된 N-(benzoyl)-C-(N-methylanilino)imidoylchloride(s)들의 가수분해 반응속도상수를 측정하여 반응속도식, 치환기효과, 용매효과, 염효과, 열역학적 활성화 파라미터 및 가수분해반응 생성물 분석 등의 결과로부터 pH3.0∼10.0까지의 사이에서는 azocarbonium ion 중간체를 지나는 S_N1형 반응, pH3.0 이하와 pH10.0 이상의 pH에서는 사면체 중간체를 지나는 친핵성 첨가-제거반응(Ad_N-E)이 일어남을 제안하였다. On the basis of rate equation, substituent effect, solvent effect, salt effect, thermodynamic parameters and hydrolysis product analysis, it may be concluded that the hydrolysis of N-(benzoyl)-C-(N-methyl-anilino)imidylchlorides proceed through S_N1 mechanism via azocarbonium ion intermediate in the range of from pH 3.0 to pH 10.0, while above pH 10.0 and below pH 3.0 the hydrolysis proceeds through nucleophilic addition-elimin ation (Ad_N-E) mechanism.

      • 전단보강근량에 따른 초고강도 콘크리트를 사용한 고층형 내력벽의 이력거동

        Three one fourth scale models using ultra high-strength concrete(f' =704 kg/㎠) are tested under the combined action of a constant axial and a horizontal load cyclically to failure. Such specimens are considered to represent the critical 3-story of low part in 60-story tall building of a structural wall system in area of high seismicity. The amount of vertical reinforcement and the level of applied axial stress are identical for the three wall tested. The cross-section of all walls is barbell shape. The aspect ratio(h /l ) of test specimen is 1.8. The primary objectives of this paper are to investigate the influence of the amount of horizontal reinforcement on the lateral resistance, failure mechanism, ductility and energy-dissipation capability of walls with ultra high-strength concrete. In contrast to what is widely believed, the horizontal web reinforcement does not appear to have a significant effect on shear capacity. Certainly, since the reduction of the web horizontal reinforcement to almost half the value specified by building codes doesn't affect the failure load, this effect in not accounted for by the truss analogy concept. The results obtained have helped to identify the causes of wall failure and have demonstrated that the concepts underlying current ACI Building Code provisions for the design of walls conflict with the observed structural behavior. It has been found that shear resistance is associated with triaxial compressive stress conditions that develop in the compressive zone of the section at the base of the wall.

        악성간엽종의 외과적 치료 -1례보고-

        악성 간엽종은 유아와 태생기에서 매우 드문 종양이다. 악성간엽종은 성인에서 극히 드물고 섬유조직이외의 둘 또는 그 이상의 간엽성분으로 구성된 종양으로 결체조직의 어떤 형태로도 분화할 가능성이 있는 태생기 간엽에서 기원한다고 생각된다. 환자는 61세 남자로 2개월 전 가래를 동반한 기침을 주소로 검사를 받던 중 우폐상부에 매우 큰 종괴를 보이는 암종으로 입원하였다. 환자는 우폐상부 미세침윤조직검사상 편평상피세포암 의심하에 우전폐절제술을 받았다. 수술장 소견상 종괴는 흉벽과 심하게 유착되었으며 우폐하부까지 침습된 소견을 보이는 악성간엽종으로 진단되었다. 환자는 수술후 5,000rad의 방사선 조사를 받고 수술후 6개월째인 현재까지 재발징후없이 경과 관찰중이다. Malignant mesenchymoma is a very rare tumor presented during the embryonic and infant period and malignant mesenchymoma in the adult is extremely rare. Tumor is composed of two or more unrelated mesenchymal derivatives apart from fibrous tissue. These tumors are thought to be originated from embryonic mesenchyme capable of differentiating into any type of connective tissue. A 61 years old man with complaints of cough and copious sputum of onset of two months was admitted after initial examinations, showing a very huge mass over the right upper lobe. Right pneumonectomy with partial rib resection of 3rd, 4th, and 5th ribs was performed due to the initial diagnostic impression of squamous cell carcinoma by the fine needle aspiration biopsy. The operative field presented a mass locating across the interlobal fissure with severe adhesions to the chest wall. Postoperatively, the patient received 5,000 rads of radiotherapy and presently, 6 months later, has shown no signs of recurrence.

        An Update on the Effect of Incretin-Based Therapies on β-Cell Function and Mass

        <P>Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a multifactorial disease with a complex and progressive pathogenesis. The two primary mechanisms of T2DM pathogenesis are pancreatic β-cell dysfunction and insulin resistance. Pancreatic β-cell dysfunction is recognized to be a prerequisite for the development of T2DM. Therapeutic modalities that improve β-cell function are considered critical to T2DM management; however, blood glucose control remains a challenge for many patients due to suboptimal treatment efficacy and the progressive nature of T2DM. Incretin-based therapies are now the most frequently prescribed antidiabetic drugs in Korea. Incretin-based therapies are a favorable class of drugs due to their ability to reduce blood glucose by targeting the incretin hormone system and, most notably, their potential to improve pancreatic β-cell function. This review outlines the current understanding of the incretin hormone system in T2DM and summarizes recent updates on the effect of incretin-based therapies on β-cell function and β-cell mass in animals and humans.</P>

      • Research on Digital Education for Preschooler in Interactive Learning Platform

        Educational courses for preschoolers are important in developing their perceptive ability. Recently, many educational programs have been performed under digital environments. It is very innovative compared to traditional educational programs. However, sometimes such new methodology may impede children’s emotional exchanges and physical interactions. On the other hand, physical interface through physical senses such as traditional plays may maintain emotional exchanges of a high level. Therefore, children may nurture positive cognitive ability through physical experiences. Accordingly, Preschoolers’ education aims for strengthening physical activities and perceptual ability rather than mere obtaining of knowledge. The current digital education environment does not fully satisfy such goals. In order to resolve this, first of all, changes in the interface of digital education are necessary. Educational courses should be formed with a physical interface operated based on children’s physical activities. This study intends to present an educational platform appropriate for such a goal.

        The Effect of Early Insulin Therapy on Pancreatic β-Cell Function and Long-Term Glycemic Control in Newly Diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic Patients

        Background/Aims: Based on the results of well designed clinical studies, intensive insulin therapy has been established to improve glycemic control in newly diagnosed diabetes. However, discrepancies exist between the findings of clinical trials and experiences in general practice. Furthermore, the efficacy of an early insulin therapy (EIT)-commonly used in general practice-on long-term glycemic control has not been established. Therefore, we evaluated the effects of EIT on pancreatic β-cell function and glycemic control using insulin-based methods widely employed in general practice. Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study that initially involved reviewing patients` medical records. Following a thorough review, 61 patients who received either biphasic or prandial EIT at the time of diagnosis were enrolled. We then evaluated changes in β-cell function and glycemic control during a 48-month follow-up period. Results: Mean HbA1c decreased significantly as a result of EIT from 10.7±1.8% to 6.2±1.1% (p<0.001). On average, 2.6 months was required to achieve an HbA1c value <7%. EIT significantly improved the insulinogenic index. Glycemic control was well maintained for 48 months. More than 70% of patients were able to maintain glycemic control following lifestyle modifications or treatment with oral antidiabetic drugs. No significant differences were identified between patients receiving biphasic EIT and prandial EIT in terms of glycemic control or pancreatic β-cell function. Conclusions: Our results suggest that regardless of the method of delivery, EIT significantly improves β-cell function and facilitates long-term glycemic control in patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus.
