      • 경구면역을 통한 항원 특이적 IgA 항체 합성에 있어 Cholera Toxin과 Alginate-Microsphere의 효과

        Secretory (S-IgA) isotype antibody (Ab) is known to play an essential role in the primary defense against various infectious agents in mucosal tissue. However, it has been mostly unsuccessful in the induction of antigen (Ag)-specific IgA Ab response in this site by peroral vaccination. In the present study, we investigated the effect of cholera toxin (CI) as a mucosal adjuvant and alginates-microspheres as a carrier on BSA-specific IgA Ab response in gut-associated lymphoid tissue`(GALT). Peroral immunization of BSA plus CT conferred a great BSA-specific IgA response but IgG response on intestinal fluid (IF). In contrast, intraperitoneal immunization of BSA with Freund's adjuvant readily induced BSA-specific IgG response but IgA response in IF. Further, number of CT specific IgA-secreting cells was substantially increased in mesenteric lymph node when CT-encapsulated-VI alginates-microspheres was administered perorally. Taken together, these results indicate that peroral immunization of soluble antigen in combination of CT or microspheres significantly enhances antigen-specific IgA response in GALT.

      • Ultra Wide-Band Radio 응용 기술 동향에 관한 연구

        최근, Ultra Wide-Band(UWB) Radio 응용 기술은 잡음 수준 이하의 UWB 송수신 신호를 사용하여 비교적 저비용으로 고속, 대용량의 서비스가 가능하다는 장점을 통해 기존의 연속파(Continuous Wave) 기술의 한계점을 극복하는 대안으로 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 UWB 응용 기술의 특징과 장점 등을 제시하고 고찰하였으며, UWB 통신 시스템을 기본적인 사항들로 살펴보았다. 또, 현재 여러 가지 통신 분야와 특수 목적 응용 분야 등에서 연구, 개발되고 있는 사례들을 다루어 현재 UWB 기술의 동향과 향후 연구, 개발 방향을 제시하였으며, UWB 기술 표준화와 관련한 현안들을 검토하였다. Recently, UWB(Ultra Wide-Band) radio application technology is being highlighted as alternative proposal to overcome the limit of continuous wave technology by the advantage that UWB signal less than noise power level is able to service the high speed and the high capacity in the relatively low cost. In this paper, the characteristics and advantages of UWB application technology are presented and considered, and UWB communication system is looked over in the fundamental sides. Furthermore, the trend and the direction of the research and development after this are presented by means of introducing the cases that are being researched and developed in the different communication fields and the application fields for the special purpose, and the pending problems related with UWB technology standardization are considered.

        파라콰트 중독에서의 항산화치료

        Background: Paraquat causes severe tissue toxicity when ingested, but has no effective treatment modality. We have shown that high dose vitamin C has effective antioxidant activities against the paraquat intoxication in a previous animal experiment. This study was designed to evaluate the effect of antioxidant therapy with high dose vitamin C and vitamin E in human cases of paraquat intoxication. Methods: From August 1999 to August 2001, 19 paraquat intoxication patients who visited the emergency department of the Seoul National University Hospital and the Kyounghee University Hospital were enrolled to this study. They were devided into two groups, a control group(9 patients) and a study group(10 patients). The control group received only conservative managements including gastro-intestinal decontaminati-on. The study group received conservative managements plus the antioxidant therapy which was composed of vitamin C 24 gm/day intravenously and 20 gm/day orally, and vitamin E 1.6 gm/day orally. Results: In the study group, 5 of 10 patients(50%) survived, but all patients of the control group died(p=0.003). There were no significant differences in age, sex, and usage of gastric lavage and activated charcoal between the two groups. Difference in ingested amount of paraquat between the two groups could not be analyzed due to the inexact and subjective measuring methods based on patients' histories. Conclusion: Antioxidant therapy with high dose vitamin C and vitamin E is effective in vival rate in paraquat intoxicated patients.

        접착제 미 사용시 치면열구전색제로서의 유동성 복합레진 평가

        본 연구의 목적은 유동성 복합레진을 치면열구전색제로 사용할 수 있는지 여부를 평가하는 것이다. 세 종류의 유동성 복합레진(Filtek Flow, Tetric Flow, Charmfil Flow)과 한 종류의 filled sealant(Ultraseal XT plus)가 사용되었다. 주사전자 현미경을 이용하여 세 종류의 유동성 복합레진 및 filled sealant의 resin tag 형성 양상을 비교하였다. 미세누출 평가를 위해 발거된 사람의 소구치 54개를 각각 18개씩 무작위로 세 군으로 배분하였다. 각 군마다 통상의 filled sealant 와 한 가지씩의 유동성 복합레진을 교합면 열구에 도포하였다. 치아들은 thermocycling(5˚ ± 2℃와 55˚ ± 2℃ 사이에서 30초씩 1200회 시행) 후 48시간 동안 1% methylene blue 용액에 보관하였다. 각각의 치아를 절단하여 미세누출 정도를 관찰하였다. 세 종류의 유동성 복합레진 및 filled sealant는 유사한 resin tag 형성양상을 보였다. 세 종류의 유동성 복합레진은 각각 filled sealant보다 현저히 더 많은 미세누출을 보였다. 세 종류의 유동성 복합레진 간의 미세누출 정도는 유사하였다. 유동성 복합레진은 통상의 filled sealant와 비교해볼 때 보다 많은 미세누출을 야기할 수 있으므로 치면열구전색제로 적절하지 않다. The aims of this study were to determine if flowable composites can be used as pit and fissure sealants without bonding agents. Three flowable composites(Filtek Flow, Tetric Flow, Charmfil Flow) and a filled sealant (Ultraseal XT plus) were used. The pattern of resin tag formation in the four sealant meterials were compared using SEM. For the microleakage assessment, 54 extracted human premolar teeth were randomly divided into 3 groups containing 18 premolars each. In each group, a conventional filled sealant and one of the three flowable composites were applied to occlusal fissures. The teeth were thermocycled(1200 cycles between 5˚± 2℃ and 55˚± 2℃ with a dwell time of 30 seconds) and immersed in a 1% methylene blue solution for 48 hours. Each tooth was sectioned and examined to determine the extent of dye penetration. Three flowable composites and a filled sealant showed a similar resin tag formation pattern. The three flowable composites showed significantly more microleakage in each group than the filled sealant. The level of microleakage was similar in the three flowable composites. Flowable composites are not recommended as pit and fissure sealants because more microleakage can occur even when occlural fissures are mechanically widened.

      • 당뇨 환자를 위한 콩가루와 보리가루 혼합 롤빵의 관능특성

        In order to develop the roll bread for diabetes mellitus patients, the bread mixed with barley and soybean flour to wheat flour was prepared and analyzed the relationship between the mixing ratio and quality characteristics of bread. Increasing the ratio of barley and soybean flour addition, the volume and elasticity of roll bread was decreased but the hardness was increased. According to the results of sensory evaluation, maximum ratio of barley and soybean addition without statistical difference was fifty percent respectively, though overall quality of mixed bread was a little lowered compared to wheat bread. Considering the results of bread quality characteristics and organoleptic test, the optimum ratio of barley and soybean addition was twenty and ten percent respectively and those mixed bread was superior to wheat bread in overall quality.

        The factors adopted in this experiment are volume fraction and the diameter and aspect ratio of fiber. The levels of factors are determined by existing studies.         인식형 청소년의 자아개념, 목표관리 및 특성불안 변화를 위한 MBTI 교육프로그램 효과 검증

        본 연구에서는 MBTI의 타당도를 검증하기 위하여 505 명의 피험자를 대상으로 MBTI 실시 결과와 표준화 성격진단검사 결과와의 상관분석 및 일원변량분석을 실시 하였다. 그 결과, MBTI 선호지표 중 E는 안정성, 지배성, 사회성, 남향성, 충동성, 우월성과, I는 사려성, 동조성, 임상척도 전부와, S는 책임성, 동조성과, N은 사려성과, T는 안정성, 지배성, 책임성, 사려성, 남향성과, F는 사회성, 동조성, 충동성, 신경질경향과, J는 책임성, 사려성, 동조성과, P는 사회성, 남향성, 충동성과 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 그리고 4 기능유형 중 ST는 책임성, 남향성이, SF는 동조성이, NT는 안정성, 지배성, 사려성, 남향성이, NF는 사회성, 충동성이 타유형에 비해 점수가 유의하게 높았다. 또한 4 기질 중 SP는 충동성, 동조성, 불안경향, 신경질경향이, J는 책임성, 동조성이 타기질에 비해 점수가 유의하게 높았으며 NT와 NF기질은 기능유형과 동일하게 나타났다. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a program focused on helping psychologically vulnerable delinquents with P preferences (perceiving types) to adjust better in the society. When a program was carried on trying to help psychologically vulnerable perceiving types to improve their ineffective adjusting behaviors, a significant short-term positive changes took place to them. Three reliable psychological scales were employed to check how much they have changed in a positive way; Tenesse Selfconcept Scale, Goal-Management Scale and Spielberger's Trait Anxiety Inventory. The affirmative changes were obtained in several subscales of the Tenesse Self-Concept Scale, such as total positive self, self-identity, self-satisfaction, physical self, moral ethical self and personal self. Goal setting and Longrange planning were enhanced on the Goal-Management Scale. Traitanxiety was moderately reduced on the Trait Anxiety Inventory. This result manifested that with the aid of properly designed programs, young people with Perceiving preference would become more satisfied with themselves and thereby come to have better selfconcepts. As they become relatively free from the distressing anxieties, their energy may be more readily available to their goal achievements helping them to live better in the society. But in some subscales, there were no statistically significant differences between two groups, therefore some reformations are needed in the program content and procedure. Several suggestions and cautions in interpreting the experiment results and applying the program in the actual situations were mentioned.

      • 급성 ST 분절 상승 심근경색증의 표준진료지침 설계

        The use of critical pathways for a variety of clinical conditions has grown rapidly in recent years, particularly pathways for patients with acute myocardial infarction. We intend to determine the impact of a clinical pathway on ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of facilitated percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) compared with primary PCI. Low risk STEMI patients (ST elevation >0.1mV in more than 2 limb leads or ST elevation >0.2mV in contiguous precordial lead, chest pain lasting more than 30 min without response to nitroglycerin) will be included. All patients will be also treated medically according to critical pathway. STEMI is one of the common diseases in emergency medicine and so it is necessary to establish realistic treatment guidelines. The use of critical pathways will improve the quality of care.

        국내에서 생장한 Kenaf의 해부학적 특성

        국내에서 재배한 kenaf의 해부학적 특성을 광학현미경법으로 조사하였다. Kenaf의 수피부에는 인피섬유, 사부방사조직, 피층유세포 등이 존해하였고, 목질부는 도관, 목섬유, 방사조직 등으로 구성되어 있었다. 도관은 고립관공과 2~3개가 방사방향으로 복합한 복합관공이 많이 존재하였고, 방사조직은 평복, 직립, 방형세포가 모두 분포하고 있었다. 접선단면에서 방사조직은 단열 및 다열방사조직으로 구성되었다. 수피비의 인피섬유층은 생장기간과 함께 증가하였다. Anatomical properties of Kenaf cultivated in Korea was investigated using light microscopy. Bast fiber, phloem ray and cortex parencyma cell were observed in bast, and vessel, wood fiber and rat in core. A lot of solitary and multiple radial pores in core existed. The cell type of ray parenchyma in radial section was procumbent, upright and square sell. Uniseriate and multiseriate rays existed in tangential section. The layer of bast fiber in bast increased with in creasing the growth period.

      • 당뇨환자를 위한 콩가루와 보리가루 혼합찐빵의 품질

        This study was conducted to investigate useful mixing amount of soybean and barley flour in making steam bread. The high adding amount of soybean and barley flour resulted from low expansion and high hardness of steam bread. Steam bread expanded well and gained high sensory evaluation score as 10% of soybean flour was added to the kneading of bread compared to the non-added treatment. But there were not significant difference in the quality of steam bread such as expansion, hardness and preference between non-added treatment and added treatment to 30% of soybean flour or 10% of barley flour.
