        베트남 청각장애아동 어휘력에 관한 연구

        이 연구에서는 베트남 청각장애특수학교아동의 여휘력 실태를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 청각장애특수학교 초등부 2학년-5힉년 아동 218명과 일반초등학교 2학년-5학년 일반아동 554명을 대상으로 간이 어휘력 테스트를 실시하였다. 간이 어휘력 테스트는 초등학교용 국정 국어교과서에 게재된 필수 단어 리스트에서 무작위 추출한 명사, 동사, 형용사의 3단계 난이도별 6단어 계 18단어를 사용하였다. 연구결과 청각장애아동의 어휘력은 같은 학년의 일반아동의 하위 1/4 정도의 낮은 수준이었다. 청각장애아동의 어휘력은 명사와 동사에 비해 형용사의 획득이 특히 어려웠고 2학년수준의 단어를 제외하고는 학년 진행에 따른 발달 경향도 나타나지 않았다. 문장 독해력과 어휘 발달과의 관련성을 검사한 결과 일반아동과 마찬가지로 어휘획득이 읽기능력에 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었다. 베트남 청각장애학교의 특징으로써 같은 학년의 연령차가 지적되어 있기 때문에 같은 학년의 연령차와 어휘력의 관련을 검토한 결과 5학년을 제외하고 연령차와 어휘력의 관련은 나타나지 않았다. 또한 청각장애아동의 청력수준과 어휘력의 관련도 보이지 않았다. 전체적으로 선행연구에서 세계적인 경향으로서 지적되고 있듯이 베트남 청각장애아동의 어휘력도 일반아동에 비해 상당히 낮은 수준에 머물러 있으며 특히 연령차가 없는 학년 편성 특징상 연령 증가에 따른 발달 경향도 나타나지 않는 특징이 지적되었다. This research aimed to investigate the reading vocabulary knowledge of hearing impaired children (HIC) in special primary schools in Vietnam. Reading vocabulary tests were developed to assess the reading vocabulary knowledge of 218 HIC from second to fifth grade at six special primary schools in comparison with 554 hearing children (HC) at two regular primary schools. Target words for the vocabulary tests were selected from a representative word list in Vietnamese language textbooks in each grade of primary school. Each test included 18 words equally divided into nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and three difficulty levels: easy, medium and difficult. Results showed that, in comparison to the HC of the same grade, almost all of the HIC had scores equivalent to the lowest score group, i.e. the lowest 25% of the HC. The HIC were likely to understand adjectives less well than nouns and verbs. When the HIC progressed to higher grades, they showed no vocabulary development, except for the vocabulary at the grade 2 level. Further analysis revealed that, like the HC, the vocabulary knowledge of the HIC influences their reading comprehension. A unique feature of special primary schools in Vietnam was the age of the HIC who studied in the same grade varied greatly. However, except for grade 5, there was no relationship between the ages of the HIC and their vocabulary knowledge. Similarly, the hearing levels of the HIC were not related to their vocabulary knowledge. In general, as it has been documented in the research throughout the world, the reading vocabulary knowledge of the HIC in Vietnam was much lower than that of the HC. The HIC showed no development of vocabulary knowledge when their ages increased.

        Effective Elimination of Charge-associated Toxicity of Low Generation Polyamidoamine Dendrimer Eases Drug Delivery of Oxaliplatin

        Polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer is emerging as an effective nanocarrier for delivering anticancer drugs. Still, unmodified PAMAM dendrimer is hardly used in vivo because of unsatisfied drug release, high tendency of interfering with cellular membranes, and rapid clearance by reticuloendothelial system. In this study, low generation polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer G3.0 is developed and surface modified with methoxypolyethylene glycol (PAMAM G3.0-mPEG) to overcome its limitations. Specifically, PAMAM G3.0 conjugated with mPEG at different ratios are investigated to effectively eliminate its charge-associated toxicity, in which PAMAM G3.0-mPEG- 8 is chosen for oxaliplatin (OX) loading. Results reveal that OX-loaded PAMAM G3.0-mPEG-8 has desirable size, good entrapment efficiency, and sustained release with minimum drug leakage. In addition, Resazurin assay indicates that the toxicity of loaded OX is reduced as compared to free drug but still maintain substantially anticancer activity on HeLa cells, suggesting the potential application of PAMAM G3.0-mPEG-8 for OX delivery in cancer therapy.

        Ag-doped graphitic carbon nitride photocatalyst with remarkably enhanced photocatalytic activity towards antibiotic in hospital wastewater under solar light

        In this study a novel Ag-doped graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) photocatalyst was synthesized and appliedas high efficientmaterial under solarlight towardsemerging antibiotic pollutantin hospital wastewater. Thetetracycline (TC) was chosen as a target pollutant and the content of Ag doping at 3 mmol revealed thehighest photocatalytic degradation efficiency of TC (96.8%) after 120 min under solar light irradiation. Thephotoluminescence and UV–vis analysis confirmed the enhancement of charge separation and transfer inthe graphitic carbon structure after Ag-doping. The removal efficiency of TC using g-C3N4 and Ag-doped g-C3N4 (AgCN) underdark conditions was only 25.6 and 31.8%, respectively. While under solarlight conditions,the removal efficiency of TC increased to 68.3 and 96.8% for g-C3N4 and AgCN, respectively. The reusabilityprocess showed that AgCN displayed extremely high stability after 6 cycles without significant drop inantibiotic degradation efficiency. The application of AgCN was tested for treatment of TC from hospitalwastewater and it showed high removal efficiency of 89.6% within 120 min reaction time. In addition, theintermediatesgeneratedandreductionof total organiccarbon(TOC)duringthephotocatalyticreactionweredetected to support information of possible TC removal mechanism.
