Perilla species belong to the Lamiaceae family of flowering plants and are widely grown in East Asia, for use in a traditional herbal medicine or functional food. To identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in Perilla species and conduct a phylogenomic analysis, we determined the complete sequences of the chloroplast (cp) genome and 45S nuclear ribosomal DNA (45S nrDNA) of six cultivated and three wild Perilla species. The complete cp genome ranged in size from 152,588 bp to 152,656 bp and the length variation in cp genomes was 68 bp. The length of the 45S nrDNA ranged from 6,235 bp to 8,303 bp and the main variation of length differences was in the intergenic spacer (IGS) region. Comparative analysis of the cp genome sequences of nine Perilla species showed low genetic diversity at the intra- and inter-species level. Using SNP analysis, we detected 42 synonymous SNPs (sySNPs) from 27 genes and 37 non-synonymous SNPs (nsSNPs) from 15 genes. A comparison of the 45S nrDNA sequences revealed two SNPs in the 18S rRNA, five SNPs in the 26S rRNA, three SNPs and two InDels in the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) 1 region, and six SNPs in the ITS 2 region. Our phylogenomic analysis suggests that the tetraploidization of Perilla cultivars may have arisen from the P. citriodora genome. The genotyping data from this study may be used to develop molecular markers associated with useful traits for use in Perilla breeding.
초친수 나노코팅을 적용한 복합태양광 발전시스템 성능평가

This study was conducted to evaluate the performance of solar energy production system by adopting super hydrophilic nano-coating agent for improving energy self-sufficiency in municipal wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs). SKT3 and SKG was tested as super hydrophilic nano-coating agent. As the results, the power generation efficiency was increased by super hydrophilic coating on photovoltaic module. Though the performance of power generation is decreased by lapse of time and higher insolation(more than 600W/m2) conditions, It is expected that the average power generation will be increase more than 5% by adopting super hydrophilic nano-coating agent such as SKG.
디버링 휠의 회전수 변화에 따른 디버링 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

The modern aircraft consists of tens/hundreds of thousands of components. A large proportion of these components are manufactured using a machining process. A deburring process must be performed after to machining. This study investigates the effect of changes in the deburring wheel rpm on the deburring force and radius. The deburring wheel is used to trim sharp edges off machined parts of the aircraft. The deburring wheel used consists of a core and a nylon hair(this new concept is protected under patent). We find that higher deburring wheel rpm results in increased deburring force and radius. For deburring wheel rotation rates of 500~750rpm, deburring force of 3.4~6.5kgf and deburring radius of 0.4~0.5mm were observed.

These days, the aerospace industry uses larger machining parts and assembly parts than those in the past. The assembly machines also show the same trend. This study is concerned with the alignment measuring apparatus for the B-axis of a separated multi-axis machine. The alignment measuring apparatus is widely installed for assembly machines in the aircraft assembly process. The alignment measuring apparatus consists of a swivel part and a measuring part. This is a new conceptual idea under patent. All elements of the alignment measuring apparatus are analyzed with the FEM. The analyzed result shows that the alignment measuring apparatus is high in accuracy with stability and steady deformation.
