This study was to investgate the effects of intracellular cAMP and polyamine biosynthesis inhibition on microbicidal activity, tumoricidal activity and tumor necrosis (actor production against L929 fibroblast cell line of LPS-activated rat per itoneal macrophages in vitro. The macropohages were treated with cAMP analogues(DbcAMP, prostaglandin E2), cAMP inhibitors(alloxan, indomethacin) and two ODC inhibitors(DFMO, MAP). cAMP analogues inhibited L929 tumor cell cytotoxity, NBT reduction and TNF production. When treated with DFMO, tumoricidal activity was significantly decreased. But, MAP had no effect on macrophage tumoricial activity, regardless of concentration. Exogeneous putrescine and interferon-γ, a macrophage activating factor, reverse the effect of DFMO.

Background: Recently social requirement for collaborated treatment of medical practice with oriental medicine has been increasing. This study is designed to provide the guidance of role of family medicine physician in oriental medicine hospital to help the establishment of interdepartmental cooperation between western and oriental medicines. Methods: Medical records of a total 973 patients administered in Chonju Oriental Medical Hospital of Wonkwang University from January Ito June 30 were reviewed. Data including sex, age distribution, periods of administration, past history, major clinical manifestations, diagnosis, laboratory tests, medications were collected and expressed as a percentage. The classification of Diseases was made according to ICPC. Results: Of 973 patients, sex ratio was 1:1.4 with female predominance and age distribution was highest in fifties and sixties (48%). Past history was dominated in cardiovascular disease (30.1%), postoperative sequele (16.4%) and diabetes (12.2%). Chief complains were ordered in frequency as arthralgia and myalgia (42%), hemiplegia (26%), dysphagia (17%), headache (13.8%), dizziness and vertigo (11.5%). Major diagnoses were cerebrosclerosis (39.7%), HNP (21.4%), cerebral hemorrage (11.2%) and arthritis (8.79%). Diseases of the administered patients were classified as cardiovascular (50.8%), musculoskeletal (31.8%), gastrointestinal (6.2%) and nervous systems. Conclusion: The main categories of the patients who were aided by family medicine physician in oriental medicine hospital were chronic debilitating diseases including cardiovascular disease and diabetes. To establish an effective collaboration of family medicine physicians in oriental medicine hospital, the doctors needed expert skills for treatment of supportive cares of chronic degenerative diseases and their complications.

벤토나이트 혼합토의 공학적 특성 연구

Mixed soil that is able to resist water is used as liner material. mixed soil that uses bentonite as its blend material is widely used for Liner layer in reclaimed land of waste. It is recognized that the Liner and durability of the material are good. However, enhanced engineering method of using the bentonite is not efficient enough to be used in basic test for the design and specifications. It is still difficult to design and implement something with bentonite economically. So it is required to suggest the standard of bentonite mixture ratio after testing its physical and engineering characteristics to use the result in civil engineering. This study shows reliable basic data of water permeability, which was obtained from a test of mixing sand, granitic soil of weathered rock and bentonite with different pressing strength and permeation water, and strength characteristics with different water blend and blend ratio. It suggests adequate blend ratio and pressing strength that meets the standard of design and construction.

This is a study to evaluate the effects of the safety of ambulance driving and the occurrence of ambulance traffic accidents and to provide basic information for the description of various factors to reduce the ambulance traffic accidents. The major instruments of this study were Korean Self-Analysis Driver Opinionnaire. Questionnaire contains 8 items which measure driver's opinions or attitudees: driving courtesy, emotion, traffic law, speed, vehicle condition, the use of drugs, high-risk behavior, human factor. To take the analysis of data, the total of 187 drivers were investigated ambulance drivers in Gwangju Metropolitan City from 2002. 1. September to 2002. 20. September. The data were analyzed by the path analysis SPSS program. The result are as follows : 1. There was desirable attitude group(58.4%) and undesirable attitude group(41.7%) on safety ambulance driving. 2. It have suggested that risk factors of ambulance traffic accident much affected with emotion and speed control on safety ambulance driving(Y(Accident) = -2.00 + 0.6 X1(Emotion Control) + 0.4 X₂ (Speed control) + E). 3. Almost 92.1% of respondents have agreed to necessity of emergency medical technics for ambulance drivers.

Bacillus subtilis SS103으로 제조한 된장의 품질 특성 및 Angiotensin 전환효소 저해 활성

Three different doengjang(fermented soybean paste) were prepared by using B. subtilis SS103 with high angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) inhibitory activity, Asp. oryzae and mixed culture of two organisms, respectively. Quality characteristics and the inhibitory activity were compared. β-Amylase activity rapidly increased during 30 days of fermentation, but lower activity was found in doenjang prepared with B. subtilis. However, α-Galactosidase activity decreased for 15 days of fermentation and little activity was observed after that fermentation period. Protease production tended to increase during the fermentation. High protease activity was found only in doengjang prepared with Asp. oryzae, but the doengjang prepared with B. subtilis SS103 showed very low activity. Total isoflavone content at 90 day fermentation was the highest in doengjang prepared with mixture of Asp. oryzae and B. subtilis. ACE inhibitory activity increased during the fermentation period. The highest activity was found in doengjang made with mixture of Asp. oryzae and B. subtilis. Sensory evaluation on doengjang itself and its soup indicated that doengjang made with mixture of Asp. oryzae and B. subtilis showed higher acceptability on taste, flavor and color than those prepared with only Asp. oryzae or B. subtilis, respectively.

The Effect of Conflict with the Apparel Manufacturer on Satisfaction of the Frsnchised Agency in the Apparel Industry

The Purposes of this study ar (1) to identify types and levels of channel conflicts between an apparel manufacturer and a franchised agency, (2) to investigate the effect of economic dependence on conflicts, and (3) to examine the effect of conflicts on satisfaction in a franchised agency's perspective in distributive channel of Korean apparel industry. For this study, questionnaires were administered to the owner or manager of 300 franchised agencies. Employing a sample of 209, data were analyzed by using means, factor analysis, pearson correlation and multi-regression analysis. Major findings are as follows: 1) Types of conflicts between apparel manufacturers and franchised agencies are identified as goal divergence, difference in perception, ineffective communication and lack of role clarity. The highest level of conflicts are lack of role clarity, followed by goal divergence, difference in perception and ineffective communication. 2) Economic dependence leads to channel conflicts in part. Greater levels of economic dependence foster greater conflicts such as lack of role clarity and lower conflicts such as ineffective communication. 3) With respect to effect of conflict on satisfaction, the greater the levels of conflict, the lower the degree of satisfaction with ole performance and with business decision and overall satisfaction.

고객서비스 품질조사방법으로서 미스터리쇼핑(Mystery Shopping)에 대한 고찰

  Recently many companies is considering customer relationship management system as an important marketing strategy tool, upon realization that the major reason for customer leave is customer service than product quality. Customer service quality can be checked through mystery shopping. In mystery shopping, trained monitors disguised as customers examine customer service, staff sincerity, product, product quality, etc. This study is to understand on mystery shopping, having practical business attention, as a research method for customer service quality.<BR>  Mystery shopping as a research method was simply started to monitor and control employees and has gradually become a specialized method focusing on the improvement of customer service. In other words, with the changes of market environment and with the increase of customer expectation in service level, it has been developed as a scientific method enabling evaluation of customer service quality, for the purposes of detecting customer desires at point of purchase and of improving service quality. By checking service quality at point of customer purchase and diagnose a key element through tracking survey of mystery shopping, companies can measure theirs strength and weakness and utilize them for effective customer service management.<BR>  Mystery shopping has following benefits: 1) identification on the level of customer service and reinforcement of customer satisfaction, 2) raising morale and motivation of staffs, 3) development of sales service techniques, 4) efficient management of store or franchised agency, 5) identification on strength and weakness between competitors.<BR>  There are several problems to be solved in the mystery shopping methodology in spite of increase in interest with its benefits. First, private life violation is concerned abroad by its secrecy in the investigation of staffs" customer service status. Domestically, some insist its nullification upon worries on labor and management trouble due to its burden toward staffs. Therefore companies implementing mystery shopping should be careful in paying regard to personal life, and in the use of result not to cause any personal damage. Second, non-sampling error due to differences in each monitor"s ability should be minimized. Third, evaluation on the mystery shoppers" honesty and sincerity at stage of data verification is not easy and an alternative to solve this problem is necessary. Fourth, service quality measurement at customer service point should be developed.

The development of a memory cell structure truly at the nanoscale with such a limiting factor for the electric‐field distribution can solve the non‐uniformity issue of future ReRAM.</P>
