양격산화탕(凉膈散火湯)의 항염증(抗炎症) 효과에 대한 연구

Objective: Yang Geouk San Hwa - Tang (YGSHT) has been widely used in Sasang Constitutional Medicine of Korea for treatment of acute inflammatory symptom, such as palatine tonsillitis, polydipsia, headache, papule, pimple however, the mechanism of its anti-inflammatory activity has not been clarified. In this study, therefore, we investigated the mechanism of the inhibitory effect of YGSHT on LPS-induced inflammation. Materials and methods: The effect of YGSHT was analyzed by ELISA, RT-PCR and Western blotting in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Results: We found that YGSHT suppressed not only the production of pre-inflammatory cytokines (IL-$1{\beta}$ and TNF-$\alpha$), the generation of nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin E (PGE)2, but also the mRNA expression of pre-inflammatory cytokines, inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and cyclooxygenase (COX)-2. Furthermore, YGSHT was shown to inhibit the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and JNK1/2 and the activation and translocation of NF-kB from cytosol to nuclear in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Conclusions: These results suggest that YGSHT exerts an anti-inflammatory effect through the regulation of the ERK1/2 and JNK1/2 pathway and NF-kB pathway, thereby decreasing production of pre-inflammatory cytokines, NO, and PGE2.

Flags in the Dust와 문화비평 : Caspey의 반헤게모니적 역할 Caspey's Counter-hegemonic Role

This paper is to study the ways in which white patriarchal hegemony function to maintain the color line by circumscribing the behaviors of black men, while obfuscating white men's violation of this boundary in Flags in the Dust. It provides an important testing ground for the 'culturalist' approach. Caspey Strother's critique of the white caste's double standard in Flags in the Dust is linked to his threat of 'taboo' miscegenation. Caspey's assertion objectifies and demeans the women with whom he has had or intends to have sexual relations thus, his desire to cross the color line to have sex with a white woman appears to reinscribe white, patriarchal, misogynistic discourse. Moreover, his physical punishment by Col. Bayard Sartoris symbolically suggests a 'lynching for daring to cross the color line. Conclusively, in Flags in the Dust Faulkner questions white People's hegemony through Caspey, and, furthermore, strongly criticize white men's patriarchal segregation.

In 2007, the Korean Society of Infectious Diseases recommended an immunization schedule for adults residing in Korea. This recommendation includes four categories: standard immunization for healthy persons, supplementary immunization for persons with underlying illnesses, recommendations for health-care personnel and for international travelers. The Standard Immunization Schedule consists of universal vaccination (tetanus-diphtheria/tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Td/Tdap); hepatitis A vaccine for persons aged 20s; human papilloma virus vaccine for women under 26 years old; meningococcal vaccine for military recruits and college students in dormitories; influenza vaccination for persons aged 50 years or more and pregnant women; and pneumococcal vaccination for persons aged 65 years or more) and catch-up vaccination (hepatitis A vaccine for persons aged 30s; hepatitis B vaccine, varicella and MMR vaccines for persons who have uncertain specific immunities). The Supplementary Immunization Schedule recommends 4 vaccines, i.e., pneumococcal, influenza, meningococcal, and Haemophilus influenzae type b, appropriate to the underlying illnesses, and confirmation of the presence of antibodies to hepatitis A and hepatitis B. The Recommendation for Health-Care Personnel includes universal vaccination (influenza and pertussis) and catch-up vaccination (hepatitis B, measles-mumps-rubella and varicella for seronegative health-care personnel). The Recommended Immunization for International Travelers focuses reinforcement of vaccinations for healthy persons and includes certain immunizations necessary for international travel (yellow fever, meningococcal, plaque, tick-borne encephalitis, and cholera). 여름배추 플러그묘 생산에서 품종에 따른 트리아졸계 생장조절 엽면살포 처리효과

본 실험에서는 트리아졸계 생장조절제를 이용하여 여름배추의 건묘 육성을 위한 생장조절제의 종류 및 처리 농도를 구명하고, 품종에 따른 반응을 알아보고자 하였다. 저농도 살포처리 시 무처리에 비해 전혀 효과를 보이지 않는 경우도 있었으며, diniconazole 125 mg·L^(-1)의 고농도 처리 시에는 과잉생장억제에 따른 불량묘가 다수 발생하였다. 따라서 건묘 육성에는 diniconazole 25 mg·L^(-1), tebuconazole 125 mg·L^(-1) 처리가 가장 효과적이었으며, diniconazole 처리와 이보다 한 수준 높은 농도의 tebuconazole 처리도 유사한 결과를 보였다. 여름배추 플러그묘에 diniconazole 처리시 12품종 모두 유사하게 반응하였는데, 생육억제 효과는 농도가 높을수록 강하게 나타났다. Diniconazole 125 mg·L^(-1) 처리에서 지나친 억제에 따른 불량묘 발생이 심하여 실용성도 없었을 뿐더러 사용상의 주의가 필요하였고, 건묘 육성에는 본엽 3매시 diniconazole 25 mg·L^(-1) 1회 처리가 바람직하였다. A series of experiments were conducted to investigate effects of triazole bioregulators on growth of summer Chinese cabbage plug seedling. Seedlings sprayed with lower concentrations of triazole bioregulators showed tendency of overgrowth and the seedlings sprayed with diniconazole 125 mg·L^(-1) showed poor quality because of the excessive inhibition or dwarfing of seedlings. In order to produce high quality seedlings of summer Chinese cabbage, spray treatments of diniconazole 25 mg·L^(-1) or tebuconazole 125 mg·L^(-1) were most effective. When compared at the same concentration, diniconazole was more effective than tebuconazole for producing compact and sturdy plug seedlings. All the tested twelve cultivars of Chinese cabbage showed similar response to triazole bioregulator treatment. Diniconazole single spray at 3-leaf stage at 25 mg·L^(-1) was suitable for healthy plug seedling production of Chinese cabbage. Excessive growth inhibition was resulted at high concentrations, thus resulting in poor or unmarketable seedlings.

This paper is an attempt to demonstrate Faulkner's desire to create an allegory of redemptive possibilities in Southern history, and to transform the novel into a meditation on the theoretical difficulties inherent in creating such an allegory. Light in August consists of the stories of three main characters that are barely connected. Gail Hightower, Lena Grove, and Joe Christmas play out an allegorical drama whose success hinges on the possibility of Gail's return to participation in the life around him, from his withdrawal into a fanatic celebration of past glory. Joe functions to transform the individual citizens of Jefferson into the group that will destroy him. Crucially, it is through engaging in the collective act of transforming Joe into representative figure that the group is constituted, "believing aloud that it was an anonymous negro crime committed not by a negro but by Negro".(288) Conclusively, the center of Light in August is an allegorical drama about the necessity of repudiating the fantastic convictions that the Negro rope complex, whose imperatives drive the community's treatment of Joe.

팔체질침을 이용한 반월판 관절경부분절제술 환자의 치험례

슬관절은 지속적인 압력을 받거나 충격때문에 동작범위의 한계에 이를 때 손상받기 쉽다. 반월판 파열 환자는 일상생활에 지장을 주는 동통, 정복되지 않는 잠김, locking이나 giving way가 자주 일어나는 경우, 지속적인 신전제한이 있을 때 수술의 적응증이 된다. 반월판 파열 환자의 재활에 있어서 관건은 대퇴사두근의 근력과 ROM의 회복이다. 팔체질침 시술후 반월판 부분절제술을 시행한 환자가 동통의 강도와 동통 재발의 감소, ROM의 개선, 전반적 상태면에서 체침이나 MPS 시술 때보다 더 나은 경과를 얻었다. Knee joints are apt to be injured when they are over the limit of ROM by continuous pressure or impact. The patient of meniscus tear has to be operated in case that he has the symptom of knee pain obstructive to daily life, unreducable locking, frequent locking or giving way, continuous extention limit. In the rehabilitation of the patient of meniscus tear, the key is the progress of musculi quadratus femori's power and ROM. After 8 constitutional acupucture therapies, partial menisectomy patient has the better process about decrease of pain intensity and relapsing pain frequence, development of ROM, general condition more than general acupucture or MPS medical treatment.

Electronic Structure Calculations of Silicon Using the Tight binding Method

The local density of states of bulk Si is calculated by using the tight-binding method and the recursion method. The matrix elements of the Hamiltonian are obtained from the calculation using the exponentially decaying orbitals with an empirical pseudopotential Hamiltonian and the calculation using empirical tight-binding approaches.

트리아졸계 생장조절제 토양주입처리가 봄배추 플러그묘 생육에 미치는 영향

트리아졸계 생장조절제를 이용하여 봄배추의 고품질 플러그묘 육성을 위한 생장조절제의 종류 및 토양주입시 처리 농도를 구명하고자 하였다. 만점, 노란자 배추 품종 모두에서 트리아졸계 생장 조절제의 효과가 공시처리 농도에서는 실바코, 빈나리, 유니코나졸 순으로 나타났으며 푸르겐, 바이코 처리의 경우 효과가 거의 나타나지 않았다. 실바코, 빈나리, 유니코나졸 처리구에서는 처리 농도가 높아질수록 엽장이 감소하고 엽록소 함량은 높아졌으나 엽수는 농도에 따라 큰 변화를 보이지 않았다. 파클로뷰트라졸 처리구에서 유묘의 크기는 무처리와 거의 비슷했지만 엽록소 함량은 현저히 증가했다. 봄배추 플러그묘에 처리시 품종과 트리아졸계 생장조절제의 종류에 따라 그 반응성에 다소 차이가 있었는데, 만점배추에서는 diniconazole 50 mg·L^(-1)와 tebuconazole 250 mg·L^(-1), 그리고 노란자배추에서는 uniconazole 5 mg·L^(-1) 처리가 건묘 육성에 가장 효과적으로 나타났다. A series of experiments were conducted to investigate effects of triazole bioregulators on growth of Chinese cab-bage. Several triazole bioregulators were tested at different stages of seedling growth at different concentrations. Application of triazole bioregulators on spring Chinese cabbage plug seedlings showed different response depending upon cultivars and concentrations. Plug seedling sturdiness of 'Manjum' Chinese cabbage was effectively reinforced by diniconazole 50 mg·L^(-1) or tebuconazole 250 mg·L^(-1) treatment whereas plug seedling sturdiness of 'Yellow Queen' Chinese cabbage was effectively for-tified by uniconazole 5 mg·L^(-1) treatment.

마늘의 효능과 안전성에 관한 연구

Galic is the fresh or dehydrated bulb obtained from Allium scorodorpasum var. viviparum Regel, a genus of the lily family. Garlic has been widely used as oriental medicine having various health benefits, such as cardiovascular, antineoplastic, antimicrobial and antiinflammatory. The average daily intake in western people is 4g/day of fresh garlic whereas it in Koreans 5.8g/day. However, consumption of excessive amount of raw garlic can cause gastrointestinal disease, dermatitis, asthma, allergic reaction, anticoagulant action, breath and body odor. Additionally, its antithrombotic properties prompt patients to stop taking garlic 14 days before having surgery or dental work. Therefore, we reviewed the safety of garlic on the basis of literatures published and then further studies on the safe amount of garlic consumption should be considered.
