In this paper ultrafine copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) were prepared from copper salt via chemical reduction method with sodium citrate dispersant and polyvinylalcol (PVA) capping polymer. The colloidal CuNPs were characterized by using UV–Visible spectroscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and X-ray Diffraction (XRD) techniques. Our obtained results indicated that the CuNPs were produced ranging from 2 to 4 nm in diameter. The colloidal solution at 7 ppm of CuNPs exhibited a powerful antifungal activity against Corticium salmonicolor (C. Salmonicolor). Fungal killing assays showed colloid solutions containing 10 ppm of CuNPs killed entirely the cultured fungus. A highly killing activity against the fungus was also performed when the CuNPs were sprayed on pink disease-infected rubber trees. These positive results may offer a great potential to produce CuNPs-based eco-fungicide for pink disease.

The shift from elite education to mass education in Vietnam has met the demand for education for everybody as well as for quality human resource talent for an emerging nation. Under the resource constraint, understanding the quality dimensions of education and its priority level is important for effective and efficient policies. This study was carried out using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to develop quality criteria and a ranking model. Two rounds of in-depth interviews were conducted with fifteen experts in the field, who were rectors, employers, and recruitment specialists to develop the quality framework applied in Vietnamese universities under total quality management (TQM), starting from the input of the senior secondary school leavers, through a teaching process to the output. The first round of interviews were unstructured questionnaires designed to explore the main factors in quality assessment model. The second round affirmed the experts’ agreement on the assessment model. Then, fuzzy logic was applied to rank eight criteria in the quality assessment model into priority order: cost, teaching and administrative staff, leadership, curriculum, student-related factors, internationalization, admissions, and campus. The results are critical for identifying the necessary actions to enhance the education quality and to further research on the optimal quality model.
Consumption Value, Consumer Innovativeness and New Product Adoption: Empirical Evidence from Vietnam

The purpose of this study is to employ the theory of consumption value and consumers' innovative personality characteristics to explain the adoption of new personal electronics devices in Vietnamese market. This study adapts a quantitative survey-based approach to test hypotheses about relationship between consumption value, product specific innovativeness and new product adoption. The study uses a quantitative data set of 915 consumers who owned one mobile electronic device at least in Ho Chi Minh city, one of the biggest cities of Vietnam. The data was collected through personal interview and convenient sampling method. The conceptual model was tested using PLS structural equation model. The findings of this study suggest that both consumption value and product specific innovativeness influence the adoption of new electronic products. The results also reveal that product specific innovativeness mediates the relationship between consumption value and new product adoption. The study further identified that consumption value was taken as a second-order multidimensions construct with five components, namely functional value, epistemic value, economic value, social value and emotional value. As a result, the research suggests some implications to enhance marketers' capabilities to develop strategies for launching new hi-tech products in an emerging market as Vietnam.

In this paper, we report the preparation and stabilization of colloidal silver nanoparticle solution, with theassistance of chitosan dihydroxyphenyl acetamide (CDHPA), or oligochitosan dihydroxyphenyl acetamide (OCDHPA). The structure of the chitosan derivatives were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopy. The morphology of the synthesized silver core-chitosan shell nanoparticles were observed by transmission electronmicroscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques, and showed a well-defined core-shell structure of polymer-coated silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The core-shell NPs exhibited a strong antibacterial activity against E. coliand S. aureus, at a very low concentration of AgNPs (2.5 ppm). Our studies offer a new method for the preparationand protection of silver nanoparticles for antibacterial applications.

Introduction We present a brief review on the diagnosis and management of the central airway obstruction (CAO) in particular nonmalignant CAO. There are multiple causes. The laryngotracheal stenosis is frequently caused by prolong intubation or tracheostomy with the cuff injury, stomal stenosis, tube tip granulations. The patients with CAO may have non-typical clinical signs such as cough, stridor, wheezing. It is easily overlooked or misdiagnosed. Most patients do not complain of dyspnea until the lumen of the central airway is obstructed by approximately 50%. The first paraclinical exam indicated is Chest CT scans with 2 D or 3 D rendering of tracheo-bronchial tree but the bronchoscopy permit the diagnosis, evaluation of the lesion with degree, location and morphological classsification of stenosis. The management of benign airway stenosis require a multidiscipline team discussion with two options: surgical resection and interventional bronchoscopy. There bronchoscopic interventions with their advantages and inconveniences are discussed: bronchoplasty, electrocautery and airway stent. We present some Experiences from Bach Mai hospital, Vietnam Case 1: 43-year-old male patient was admitted for dyspnea. He had motorcycle accident 2 months before, after the accident, the patient was comatose, had IMV for 1 month. Bronchoscopy: severe membranous stenosis of the subglottic segment, 3cm from the vocal cords. He had intervention with electrocautery then balloon dilation with good success. Case 2: Male patient, 57 years old, admitted to Bach Mai hospital due to wheezing, shortness of breath 3 weeks ago. He had hospital-acquired pneumonia treated at ICU in 2 months, twice intubations, 11 days mechanical ventilation. Bronchoscopy showed membranous stenosis of the trachea, 3cm from the vocal cords. He had intervention with electrocautery then balloon dilation with good success. Case 3: 16-year-old man hospitalized for shortness of breath. History: 6 months before this hospitalization, patients had trafic accident and mechanical ventilation for 2 weeks and tracheostomy. Chest CT: tracheal stenosis above tracheostomy. He had surgical resection of tracheal stenosis but the dyspnea and wheezing persist due to tracheal anastomotic stenosis post operation. After MDT discussion, he had Interventional bronchoscopy - stenting with good success. Case 4: 36 years old male patient, had a traffic accident 4 years ago. He was intubated then tracheostomized. Subsequently, the patient developed tracheal stenosis and had a metallic stent through flexible bronchoscopy. After intervention, metallic stent was displaced many times, the patient had to undergo the surgery to fix the stent to the trachea. For one year, he had many episodes of shortness of breath with wheezing. Chest CT scan and bronchoscopy showed the tracheal stenosis below the metallic stent. He was transfert to BACH MAI hospital. He had surgical remove of metallic stent. A silicone stent was put through rigid bronchoscopy sucessfully. Case 5: A male patient 34 years old. He had a traumatic brain injury requiring craniotomy. After the surgery, the patient presented a tracheal stenosis post intubation. He had long term tracheostomy with several unsuccessful remove. MDT discussion: interventional bronchoscopy with tracheal stent. Due to the fixation of cervical spine post accident, we had first perfomed the tracheotomy then used rigid bronchoscopy to put the tracheal stent through the tracheotomy. In conclusions Tracheal stenosis can be difficult to treat and necessitate a multi-disciplinary approach in order to offer the best available solution for each patient. Intervention Bronchoscopy can provide durable successful results in selected patients. We had bronchoplasty, electrocautery, balloon dilation, rigid bronchoscopy, stent. We need to apply and developpe more other interventional bronchoscopy such as laser.

Employability has recently become the first target of the national higher education. Its model has been updated to catch the new trend of Industry 4.0. This paper aims at analyzing and ranking the determinants of undergraduate employability, focusing on business and economics majors in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In-depth interviews with content analysis have been primarily conducted to reach an agreement on a key group of factors: human capital, social capital, and identity. The Stochastic Fractal Search Algorithm (SFSA) is then applied to rank the sub-factors. Human capital is composed of three major elements: attitude, skill, and knowledge. Social capital is approached at both structural and cognitive aspects with three typical types: bonding, bridging, and linking. The analysis has confirmed the change of priority in employability determinants. Human capital is still a driver but the priority of attitude has been confirmed in the contemporary context. Then, social capital with the important order of linking, bridging, and bonding is emphasized. Skill, knowledge, and identity share the least weight in the model. It is noted that identity is newly proposed in the model but a certain role has been found. The findings are crucial for education strategies to enhance university graduate employability.
