        Dynamic Rheological Behavior, Processability and Mechanical Properties of PVC/Butyl Acrylate-grafted-Methyl Methacrylate/Styrene Blends

        Core-shell structured grafted copolymer particles of butyl acrylate (BA) grafted methyl methacrylate (MMA) and styrene (St) monomers (ACR-g-St) were prepared by seed emulsion polymerization. Poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC)/ACR-g-St blends were proposed. The fusion properties, dynamic mechanical behavior, rheological behavior, mechanical properties and morphology of blends were characterized by a torque rheometer, dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA), rotational rheometer, universal mechanical testing machine and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed that the ACR-g-St particles accelerated the fusion of PVC resins, but the equilibrium torque increased slightly. The storage modulus (G′), loss modulus (G″) and complex viscosity (η<SUP>*</SUP>) of melts exhibited a monotonic changing with frequency and all had minimum values when ACR-g-St content was 16 phr. The tensile and impact strength were highest at 8 phr content of ACR-g-St. ACR-g-St not only can be used as an efficient impact aid but also plays a role of lubricant, which is helpful for PVC processing.

        China and the Korean Peninsula: A Chinese View on the North Korean Nuclear Issue

        History and geography have combined to make the Korean peninsula important to China’s security. This importance lies not only in the fact that the peninsula shares a long border with China’s industrial heartland in the northeastern part of China, but it also stems from the convergence- and often the clash-of the interests of Russia, Japan, and the United States in Korea. For the last century, Korea has served as an object, or an area of conflict and an invasion corridor for these three powerful states. The Chinese were involved in the Korean War from 1950-1953, supporting North Korea after the United States intervened on behalf of South Korea. This, together with the close ties between the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and the Korean Workers Party, led by Kim Il Sung and his son Kim Jong Il (links which can be traced back to the 1930s), has reinforced the importance of Korea in China’s policy calculations. The recent development of a North Korean nuclear program has introduced elements of unpredictability and somewhat of a dilemma into the foreign policy concerns of the Beijing leadership. Uncomfortable with Pyongyang’s nuclear program, China joined the United States and other neighboring countries in their efforts to stop the North Korean nuclear weapons program. Yet, the detonation of a North Korean nuclear device on October 9, 2006 has put the relationship between China and North Korea to a serious test, as Beijing publicly registered its opposition to North Korean actions. At the time, people became pessimistic about the future denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. This pessimism was somewhat dissipated when the United States and North Korea suddenly hammered out an agreement to freeze Pyongyang’s nuclear program on February 13, 2007 in Beijing. According to this agreement, North Korea will receive fuel oil, economic assistance, and humanitarian aid in return for shutting down and sealing its nuclear facilities within 60 days. However, when no action was taken by the North Korean authorities by the time the April 14 deadline passed, people began to question the sincerity of North Korea in implementing their side of the agreement. What then, are the prospects for the denuclearization of the peninsula? What are China’s interests in this issue and in the region in general? How much can Beijing do to push for a nonproliferation of North Korean nuclear technology? The purpose of this essay is to answer these questions by examining the development of the North Korean nuclear issue and the implications of this issue for Chinese interests, as well as to review Chinese policy towards the Korean peninsula more generally. This paper argues that although there are many uncertainties on the path towards denuclearizing the peninsula, there is still hope because the recent pact signed on February 13 represents an important step towards realizing that goal.

        Texture Adjustment of Hot-Rolled Fe-1.6wt% Si Non-oriented Electrical Steel Sheet by Annealing Processes

        In the present work, the effect of pre-annealing on the recrystallized texture of hot-rolled Fe-1.6 wt% Si non-oriented electricalsteel was investigated. Vickers hardness test, optical microscope, and electron backscatter diffraction were used to investigatethe changes in the average hardness, microstructure, and texture caused by pre-annealing of hot-rolled strips. It was found thatthe texture successively changed from a near-random distribution to {116} < 151 > texture and near-{001} < 140 > texturedepending on pre-annealing treatments. Also, there was almost no effect on the grain size, and the average grain size of thenormalized bands was 125 μm. Besides, the texture and magnetic properties of the final products under different pre-annealingtreatments were also detected. It was found that the sample obtain a strong Cube texture by pre-annealing. Meanwhile, themagnetic properties are also got an improvement by pre-annealing. In a word, this method may provide a possibility to obtainan ideal grain size and texture simultaneously.

        Ore-forming fluid characteristics and deposit genesis of the Songjianghe gold deposit in Dunhua, Jilin Province

        The Songjianghe gold deposit is located in the southeastern part of the Jiapigou–Haigou metallogenic belt, north of the North China Craton. The distribution of the ore body is governed by ductile shear zones and fractures oriented in the SN direction. The gold ore body consists of lenticular gold-bearing quartz veins. Mineralization can be divided into five stages: the quartz-oxidation stage (I), the pyrite-magnetite-quartz stage (II), the quartz-polymetallic sulfide stage (III), the telluride stage (IV), and the carbonate stage (V), with the main mineralization stages being III and IV. On the basis of lithological characteristics, three types of fluid inclusions were identified in the vein mineral assemblage: NaCl-H2O (W-type), CO2-H2O (C-type), and a minor amount of pure CO2 (pctype). W-type and C-type inclusions coexist randomly around natural gold minerals in the same quartz grain, indicating that the mineralizing fluid is heterogeneous. The mineralizing fluids had a medium temperature and low to medium salinity based on micro temperature measurements of various inclusions. During the main mineralization phase, H-O isotope tests indicate that the mineralizing fluids are mantle-driven and mixed with atmospheric precipitation during mineralization. δ34S data indicate that the mineralizing material originated from the mantle. The aforementioned characteristics suggest that Songjianghe is an orogenic gold deposit based on its dynamical background, with fluid immiscibility and sulfidation being the primary mechanisms of gold precipitation and enrichment.

        A New Analytical Method for Link Slab Analysis

        Link slabs have been widely used to reduce the number of expansion joints. However, traditional reinforced concrete link slabs are prone to cracking issues, making it crucial to accurately calculate their internal forces. Currently, the most advanced link slab analysis methods treat the link slab and adjacent span as a rotational spring to simulate their restriction on the girder end rotation. However, this method does not comprehensively consider the link slab's influence, leading to conservative results. To address this issue, this study further considers the influence of girder end deformations on adjacent span, resulting in more accurate calculations of the link slab's internal forces. Additionally, the concept of the girder end rotation reduction coefficient is put forward for the first time, which provides a clearer and more quantified understanding of the link slab's influence. The proposed method is verified by a model test and a site test, which shows a significant improvement in accuracy compared to existing analytical methods. On this basis, a parametric study is conducted to investigate the influence of various parameters on the girder end rotation reduction coefficient, which indicates that span length, girder spacing, and support configuration have the greatest influence.

        A Study on the Aesthetic Consciousness of Roads in Door Frame Landscape in Traditional Chinese Gardens: Analyzing the Representational Value of Roads in Door Frame Landscape Through Evolutionary Aesthetics

        문틀 경관은 중국 전통 정원의 전형적인 디자인 양식으로, 벽의 문틀 창을 통해 다음 공간을 감상하는 방식이다. 길은 관람자가 다음 공간으로 진입하도록 유도하는 요소이다. 문틀은 길 주변의 경치를 틀 안에 넣어 문틀 경관을 구성한다. 이런 양식의 호감은 오랫동안 각광 받아 왔지만, 이를 선호하는 이유에 대한 이해가 부족했고, 그 결과 단순히 양식을 모방하는 것에 그쳤다. 문틀 경관의 선호도는 정치, 문화등의 영향을 받지만, 본 논문은 진화 미학을 통해 미의식을 탐구하였다. 첫째, 문틀 경관에서 길의 형태를 4가지 범주로 요약하였다. 둘째, 환경 선호가 안전성과 탐색에서 비롯된다는 진화 미학의 이론에 따라 문틀경관에서 길의 미적 구조를 분석하였다. 그리고 길 형태에 따른 호감 가설을 정의했다. 마지막으로 길 형태에 따른 선호도 실험에서, 감상자가 다방향 곡선 길에 대한 선호도가 가장 높다는 가설을 검증하였다. 본 연구는 진화 미학을 바탕으로 문틀 경관에서 길의 미의식을 분석하였다. Door Frame Landscape is a representative design technique of traditional Chinese gardens, which allows people to view the neighboring space through a doorway in the wall of the courtyard. The road serves as an element to guide the viewer to the adjacent space. Door frames are used to frame the landscape around the road, creating a Door Frame Landscape. This Door Frame Landscape style is widely favored, but the reason for this preference is still unclear. This has led to mere imitation of the style in the garden. Of course, the preference for Door Frame Landscape is also influenced by other fields such as politics, economics, and culture. This essay pursues the study of the aesthetic consciousness of road in the Door Frame Landscape from a scientific point of view, using evolutionary aesthetics. First, the paper summarizes the form of roads in the Door Frame Landscape into four categories. Secondly, evolutionary aesthetics theory suggests that people's good feelings towards the environment come from a sense of security and a desire to explore. Based on this theory, this study analyzes the aesthetic structure of the road in the Doorf Frame Landscape and proposes a good feeling vacation theory based on the road form. Finally, the paper experiments on the preferred of road form and concludes that viewers have the highest preferred of multidirectional curved roads. Based on evolutionary aesthetics, this study analyzes the aesthetic consciousness of roads in the Door Frame Landscape.

        넷이즈 클라우드뮤직과 한국의 뮤지션 지원 서비스 플랫폼 비교 분석

        본 연구는 넷이즈 클라우드뮤직과 한국의 뮤지션 지원 서비스 플랫폼을 비교 분석하여 향후 한국 음원플랫폼이 인디 뮤지션의 다양한 지원 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 시장 조성에 기여하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 한·중 양국의 디지털 음원 시장과 음원 플랫폼 서비스 운영 방식을 살펴보았다. 중국 음원플랫폼들은 낮은 유료 결제 비율과 독점 음원 공유 정책에 대응하기 위해 다양한 수익 모델을 개발하고 발전시켜 온 반면에, 한국에서는 사용자들이 주로 통신사 할인/프로모션을 통해 플랫폼을 선택하는경우가 많아 플랫폼들이 수익 모델을 개발하는 데 미온적임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이어서 넷이즈 클라우드뮤직과 한국 뮤지션 지원 서비스 플랫폼이 가지고 있는 특징, 그리고 한·중 양국의 음원 유통 방식을비교 분석했다. 넷이즈 클라우드뮤직의 뮤지션 지원 서비스는 중국 음원 유통 과정의 일체화된 서비스를 제공한다는 특징이 결합되었으며 한국의 뮤지션 지원 서비스 플랫폼에 비해 편의성이 높고, 수익 채널도 다양할 수 있음을 확인했다. 이를 참고하여 향후 한국 음원 플랫폼이 뮤지션 지원의 관점에서 나아가야 할 방향을 제언했다. This study aims to compare NetEase Cloud Music with Korean musician support service platforms, to help Korean music platforms provide diverse support services for indie musicians. We analyzed the digital music markets and platform operations in Korea and China, finding that while Chinese platforms developed various revenue models in response to low payment rates and exclusive music sharing policies, Korean platforms have been less proactive, often influenced by telecom discounts/promotions. We also compared the characteristics of NetEase Cloud Music and Korean musician support service platforms, including Korea and China's music distribution methods. NetEase's musician support service offers integrated service features and more convenience and revenue channels compared to Korean platforms. Based on this, we suggest directions for Korean music platforms in terms of musician support.
