Timing Window Shifting by Gate Sizing for Crosstalk Avoidance
Naeun Zang,Juho Kim 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
This paper presents an efficient heuristic algorithm to avoid crosstalk which effects to delay of CMOS digital circuit by downsizing and upsizing of Gate. The proposed algorithm divide into two step, step1 performs downsizing of gate, step2 performs upsizing, so that avoid adjacent aggressor to critical path in series. The proposed algorithm has been verified on LGSynth91 benchmark circuits and Experimental results show an average 8.64% Crosstalk Avoidance effect. This result proved new potential of proposed algorithm.
A case study on risk assessment for personal care robot (Mobile servant robot)

As the use of personal care robots increases, cases of damage have occurred and it is urgent to take countermeasures against them. The most basic method to identify the hazardous risk factors and estimate the likelihood (frequency) and severity (intensity) of the injury or illness caused by them is risk assessment, which is a system that establishes reduction measures (Guidelines for the Assessment of Workplace Hazards, 2017). In this study, risk assessment was conducted according to the safety requirements for robots presented in the international standard. As a result, we analyzed the risk assessment for improving safety by deriving measures and measures for reducing risks. The results of this study can be used as a basic data for the safety evaluation to lower the risk to the level required by the standard and receive the safety certification of the personal care robot in the future.

Objective: Rehabilitative ultrasound imaging is a safe and noninvasive technique for evaluating muscle thickness. A dual probe-fixing frame (DPF) can provide visual feedback during exercises targeting specific muscles. The purpose of this research was to verify the reliability and validity of the DPF for dual-probe ultrasound (DPU)-based visual feedback exercises, allowing users to use both hands freely. Design: This cross-sectional study used repeated measures to compare muscle thickness measurements obtained using the handheld device and DPF with DPU. Methods: Twenty healthy adults participated in the study. Measurements were taken over two sessions, with a two-day interval between the sessions. The thicknesses of the rectus abdominis (RA) and transverse abdominis (TrA) muscles were measured using DPU. The DPF with DPU developed by the research team, was used along with a laptop-based muscle viewer. Bland-Altman analysis and intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) calculations were used in statistical analyses to evaluate agreement and reliability, respectively. Results: The results of the Bland–Altman analysis showed small average differences between the handheld and DPF methods for both RA and TrA muscle thicknesses. Inter-rater reliability analysis showed high ICC values for DPF measurements of both RA (0.908–0.912) and TrA (0.892–741) muscle thicknesses. Intra-rater reliability analysis also showed good ICC values for measurements taken by a single examiner over two days. Conclusion: The findings of this study demonstrate that the DPF provides reliable and valid measurements of muscle thickness during visual feedback exercises using the DPU.
Determinants of consumer attitudes and re‑purchase intentions toward direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) brands
Naeun Lauren Kim,Daeun Chloe Shin,김귀아 한국의류학회 2021 Fashion and Textiles Vol.8 No.1
In the fashion and retail industry, a group of startups, referred to as Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) brands, are proliferating. DTC brands are defined as e-commerce brands that sell directly to consumers, without retailer ‘middlemen’ like department stores. They typically begin as a purely online business, fully leveraging digital channels for marketing and selling. Given the limited research on the topic, this paper aims to identify determinants of consumers’ attitudes and re-purchase intentions toward DTC brands. The initial qualitative phase of in-depth interviews with frequent DTC shoppers, resulted in the identification of eight determinants. The subsequent quantitative analysis with 210 US DTC shoppers confirmed that co-creation, cost-effectiveness, website attractiveness, brand uniqueness, social media engagement, and innovativeness of DTC brands significantly influence consumers’ attitudes while cost-effectiveness (indirectly), brand uniqueness, social media engagement, and brand innovativeness affect consumers re-purchase intentions. The findings offer insights for aspiring entrepreneurs and incumbent retailers on strengthening their value propositions. KCNQ2 Encephalopathy Showing a Distinct Ictal Amplitude- Integrated Electroencephalographic Pattern
Naeun Kwak,Yun Jeong Lee,김동섭,Su-Kyeong Hwang,권순학,Eun Joo Lee 대한신생아학회 2020 Neonatal medicine Vol.27 No.4
KCNQ2 mutations induce a neonatal-onset epileptic encephalopathy of widely varying severity, ranging from benign familial neonatal epilepsy to severe refractory epileptic encephalopathy. Refractory seizures with KCNQ2 mutations have a positive response to sodium-channel blockers. Recently, a distinctive ictal pattern has been reported during amplitude-integrated electroencephalographic (aEEG) monitoring in infants with KCNQ2 encephalopathy. Herein, we describe a case of KCNQ2 encephalopathy with this distinctive ictal aEEG pattern, which was confirmed using conventional electroencephalography (EEG). A 3-day-old female infant presented with neonatal seizures accompanied by cyanosis and desaturation. Her seizure semiology was tonic and focal clonic. Her ictal aEEG demonstrated a sudden rise in amplitude followed by a suppressed background pattern. This pattern was also confirmed on conventional EEG. Her seizures were refractory despite the administration of multiple conventional antiepileptic drugs. Finally, c.794C>T; p. (Ala265Val) mutation was observed in the KCNQ2 gene on genetic testing, and she was diagnosed with KCNQ2 encephalopathy. Identifying this distinctive ictal pattern on aEEG monitoring facilitates the early detection of KCNQ2 encephalopathy and timely targeted treatment in patients with refractory seizures.
