Preparation and Characterization of PVA/SA Blend Nanofiltration membranes

The nanofiltration (NF) membranes based on poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and sodium alginate (SA) were prespared. Homogeneous PVA/SA blend membranes were prepared by casting a PVA/SA (95/5 in wi%) mixture solution on an acryl plate followed by drying at a room temperature and by cros-slinking with glutaraldehyde (GA) for 20 minutes PVA/SA blend composite membranes were also prepared by coating a PVA/SA (95/5 in wi%) mixture solution on microporous polysulfone(PSF) supports. The PVA/SA active layer of the composite membrane was crosslinked at room temperature by using an membranes were characterized with a scanning electron microscopy (SEM) a fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and permeation tests. The permeation properties of the composite membrane were as follows: 1.3{{{{ {m }^{2 } }}}}/{{{{ {m }^{2 } }}}}day of flux and >95% of rejection at 200 psi for a 1000 ppm PEG600 solution.

The purpose of this article is to examine gender representation in Alice books written by Lewis Carroll. The notable fantasy worlds Alice visits show many unique and strange peculiar characters such as the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, the Mock Turtle, and Humpty Dumpty. They have nonsensical personalities and make Alice’s adventures in two worlds exciting. However, the readers can also see the women characters who are always angry and shout in shrill and rough voices impatiently: the Queen of Hearts, the Duchess, the cook, and the Red Queen. The reason why these female characters are always angry is associated with the domestic ideology which requires female’s obedience and sacrifice to make home an ideal and perfect place. To support male-centered society and nurture children at home, female needs to endure any difficulties she has to face with. If the burden she must carry to support the dominant ideology is too heavy and harsh, she would fail and collapse. Then she would go mad. The Queen of Hearts, the Duchess, the cook in the Duchess’s house, and the Red Queen seem to have too much burden to endure given by the strict and oppressive dominant ideology of the nineteenth century. This makes them always impatient and easily turn into crimson with rage. Even though they may try to overcome the limits while demanding “Off his head,” throwing dishes or pans, and running desperately to stay where she is, they don’t succeed. When they have much more oppression through the male-ordered society, they will be the White Queen, who is already out of her mind.
Marian Borkowski의 관현악곡, Limits의 분석 연구

The aim of this study is to introduce Marian Borkowski, modern Polish composer into Korea and make the audience approach to modern music easily. Through research of this piece. I found various technique of modern music. Limits is consist of arch form with 7 parts: A-B-Tr.1-C-D-Tr.2-AR including connecting parts. Each part has the harmony with the equal-step sonorities : diminished second and augmented second, and the non equal-step sonorities : diminished second+forth, diminished second+fifth, and diminished second+sixth. Its sonority becomes cluster, but its form can be divided accurately, and its tone color is delicate. The rhythms are related with the above closely, and the of form and the harmony of combination. I also found the unique expression of climax through diverse combnination of harmony, arrangement of musical instruments and modern performing methods. I concluded his creation of new technique and well harmonized structure of the form. and the rhythms through various experiments make the audience overcome the obscurity of modern music. And I hope this analysis devotes the audience to understand the modern music easily.

The crystal structure of a bromine sorption complex of dehydrated partially Co(11)-exchanged zeolite A (Co_(4)Na_(4)-A) has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. Whether treated with bromine vapor at 24℃ for 1.5 h or at 80℃ for 24 h. the structure is essentially the same. Both data sets were solved and refined in the cubic space group Pm3m at 21(1)℃ (a=12.118(1)Å,R_(1) = 0.066 and R_(2)=0.064 with 185 rellcctions,and a=12.111(2)Å. R_(1)=0.072 and R_(2)=0.074 with 241 rellcctions.respectively, for which I〉3σ(I). A redox reaction has apparently occurred between Co(11) and Br_(2) to yield Co(111) and Br_(3)- ions. The 4 Na^(+) and 4 Co^(3+) ions per unit-cell occupy 6-ring sites on 3-fold axes. Each Na^(+) ion os recessed ca. 0.33 Å into the sodalite unit, whereas each Co^(3+) ion os ca. 0.54 Å on the large-cavity side of the plane of its 3 coordinating oxygens. Four quite asymmetric Br_(3)- ions each bridge between a Co^(3+) ion and an 8-ring framework oxygen(Co-Br-Br=116˚, (Br-Br-Br)-=138˚, and Br-Br-O=177˚; the corresponding Co-Br-Br-Br-O distances are 2.59(1), 2. 28(1), 2.64(3), and 3.40(2) Å, respectively). The near-linear Br-Br-O angle is indicative of a charge-transfer interation, Two other bromine molecules similarly form charge-transfer complexes with 8-ring oxygens. Only with Br_(2) and neither with Cl_(2) nor I_(2) is Co^(2+) oxidized and X_(3)- formed.

The sigma level is a performance metric that indicates how often defects are likely to occur in the business process. The higher the sigma level, the less likely a process will produce defects. In this paper, the concept of sigma level is introduced and methods of calculating sigma levels for different data types are illustrated with several examples. Four data types are considered; defects data, defective items data, normally distributed variables data, and non-normally distributed data including lifetime data. MINITAB software is used for calculating the sigma levels.
