        맥주박 바이오차 처리가 상추(Lactuca sativa L. var. crispa.)의 생육과 품질에 미치는 영향

        The need for organic soil amendment is increasing in the Republic of Korea against the backdrop of soil acidification, pollution, and nutrient losses. The pyrolysis of organic waste biomass produces biochar, which not only increases soil productivity, but also confers environmental benefits by reducing greenhouse gases through carbon sequestration. Brewer’s spent grain (BSG) is rich in useful nutrients and functional substances, but its recycled portion is by far less than the amount generated. Pyrolysis can help to reduce the volume of generated BSG wastes, thus easing it’s recycling. This study evaluated the effects of brewer’s spent grain biochar (BBxxx) pyrolyzed at different temperatures of 300, 500, and 700℃ on the growth and quality characteristics of leaf lettuce including physicochemical properties of the soil. The experiment was conducted at Chungnam National University in Daejeon, Korea. Leaf lettuce was grown in the greenhouse in Wagner pots (1/5000 a) for 35 days. Dried BSG and BBxxx were each added to the soil at rates of 0, 2, and 5% by weight, respectively. Increasing pyrolysis temperatures resulted in increased pH and carbon content of biochar which in turn increased the soil pH and carbon when biochar and soil were admixed. The growth investigation, leaf lettuce with the BB500 5% treatment had the heaviest fresh weight (107.24 ± 3.05 g plant -1 ). The quality investigation, the Anthocyanin content of leaf lettuce with BB500 and BB700 treatments were higher than the control. The results indicate that BB500 performed better than the rest of the biochar and is therefore recommended as an effective soil amendment.

        A Clinical and Histological Evaluation for Healing of Dehiscence Defects Filled with an Absorbable Atelocollagen Sponge in Dogs

        The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of absorbable atelocollagen sponge on healing of hard tissue of buccal dehiscence defects in mongrel dogs. The mandibular second and fourth premolars of 12 dogs were extracted. Group 1 and Group 2 consisted of dogs without and with an inserted atelocollagen sponge after extraction with buccal plate preservation ; Group 3 and Group 4 consisted of dogs without and with an inserted atelocollagen sponge after removing two thirds of the buccal wall. At 10 weeks, Group 4 presented a significantly greater increase in the height of the alveolar bone crest than that of Group 3. Histologically, Group 2 and Group 4 showed better new bone formation ability than Groups 1, 3 at 6 weeks after extraction. The new bone formation ability of Group 3 was the poorest at 10 weeks. The results showed that the transplantation of absorbable atelocollagen sponge in the extraction socket can promote new bone formation and compensate marginal ridge reconstruction.

        기업 R&D 투자 성격에 따른 해외시장 진출성과 분석

        본 연구는 2003~2011년간 KOSPI와 KOSDAQ에 상장되어 있는 제조업체의 기업 패널 데이터를 사용하여 기업 R&D 투자가 기업의 생산성, 수출 및 해외직접투자(FDI)에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증 분석하였다. R&D 투자효과의 심도 깊은 분석을 위해 본 연구에서는 새로운 상품을 개발하거나 상품의 질을 상승시키는 제품혁신형 R&D와 기존의 동일한 상품을 보다 효율적으로 생산하여 생산비용을 감소시키는 공정혁신형 R&D가 수출과 FDI에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였다. 이와 같이 다른 성격을 지니고 있는 R&D 투자효과를 분석하기 위해 기업생산성을 매개 변수로 설정한 재귀적 구조방정식 모형을 사용하여 기업의 R&D 투자가 수출 및 FDI에 미치는 직접적인 효과(제품혁신)와 생산성 변화를 통한 간접효과(공정혁신)를 분석하였다. 기업생산성을 총요소 생산성으로 추정하여 분석한 결과 기업의 R&D 투자는 직접적으로 수출과 FDI 증가에 미치는 효과가 큰 것으로 나타나 제품혁신형 R&D가 공정혁신형 R&D보다 큰 효과를 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 기업을 자본집약적 및 노동집약적 산업으로 구분하여 분석한 결과 R&D 투자는 자본집약적인 산업에서 직간접적으로 수출과 FDI를 증가시키는 것으로 나타난 반면 노동집약적인 산업에서는 노동생산성 증가를 통해 간접적으로 수출을 증가시키는 것으로 분석되었다. This paper examines the effects of firm R&D on exports and foreign direct investment (FDI) by using Korean firm data. To provide in-depth analysis on R&D effects, we estimate the effects of technical innovation R&D and production process R&D by using recursive structural equation model. Taking into account that technical innovation is associated with product-specific quality, while production process innovation affects firm-specific productivity, we use firm productivity as a mediator variable to estimate the effects of firm R&D with and without incorporating firm productivity in the model. Our results show that firm R&D is more effective on increasing exports and FDI directly than indirectly through firm productivity change. Estimating firm R&D effects across different industry sectors, we find that firm R&D has significant impact on exports and FDI directly and indirectly through total factor productivity change among capital-intensive sectors, while it has significant effects on exports through labor productivity change insidelabor-intensive sectors. Our results provide evidence that while technical innovation R&D is more effective on improving foreign market performance, different types of R&D activities have different effects depending on industry characteristics.

        심장혈관 조영술과 심장혈관 인터벤션의 환자 선량 평가

        심장혈관 조영술과 인터벤션은 현대 성인병의 증가로 급격히 증가하고 있다. 심장혈관 인터벤션은 장시간 동일 부위에 방사선을 조사하는 검사로 방사선으로 인한 피부상해를 일으킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 의료기관의 심장혈관 인터벤션의 진단참조준위를 조사하여 환자의 피폭선량을 감소시키는 도구로 사용하고자 한다. 본 연구는 147명의 환자에서 심장혈관 조영술과 인터벤션을 대상으로 누적 투시시간, 누적 투시면적선량, 영상촬영을 위한 면적선량, 누적 면적선량, 공기커마, 동영상 수, 총 영상 수에 대한 정보를 획득하여 진단참조준위를 설정하였다. 심장혈관 조영술의 진단참조준위와 인터벤션의 진단참조준위에 해당하는 면적선량 값은 각각 44.4 Gy·cm2와 298.6 Gy·cm2로 나타났고 투시시간에 대한 진단참조준위는 각각 191.5 sec와 1935.3sec로 나타났다. 진단참조준위는 반드시 넘으면 안 되는 값은 아니다. 하지만 진단참조준위를 제정하여 의료기관에서 사용하고 있는 선량의 참조 값을 설정하고 이를 검토하는 과정은 환자의 불필요한 피폭선량을 감소시키는데 기여할 것이다. The use of cardiac angiography (CA) and the interventional procedures is rapidly increasing due to the increase in modern adult diseases. Cardiovascular intervention (CI) is an examination method where radiation is applied to the same area for a long period, and thus may cause skin injury. In this study, we investigate the diagnostic reference level (DRL) of the cardiovascular intervention (CI) carried out by medical institutions and use it as a tool to reduce patient exposure dose. In this study, the DRL was set by acquiring information about the cumulative fluoroscopy time, cumulative fluoroscopy dose-area product (DAP), radiography DAP, cumulative DAP, air kerma, number of video clips, and the total number of images from the cardiac angiography and interventional procedures performed on 147 patients. The DAPs corresponding to the DRL of cardiac angiography(CA) and that of the interventional procedures were shown to be 44.4Gy·cm2 and 298.6Gy·cm2, respectively; the corresponding DRLs of fluoroscopy time were shown to be 191.5s and 1935.3s, respectively. A DRL is not a strict upper bound for radiation exposure. However, the process of setting, enacting, and reviewing the DRLs for the dose by medical institutions will contribute to a reduction in the unnecessary exposure dose of patients.

        Spin-Value 헤드용 Ni-Fe/Mn-Ir 다층박막의 적층순서에 따른 자기적 특성

        The purpose of this research is to find out the dominant factor determining exchange biased field and characteristics of Ni-Fe/Mn-Ir/buffer/Si bottom structure. We found out that the H_(ex) and the H_c of Ni-Fe/Mn-Ir multilayers depended on the grain size of Mn-Ir layer and the grain-to-grain epitaxy relationship at the interface between Mn-Ir and Ni-Fe layers. The blocking temperature, at which the exchange biased field disappears, of top structure was about 220℃ and that of bottom structure was about 180℃. The grain size of Mn-Ir layer in bottom structure is smaller than that in top structure. The bottom structure has more magnetic dead layer and less alignment of spin of the Mn-Ir layer than top structure.
