A nano-sized double-walled carrier composed of chitosan and β-lactoglobulin (β-Lg) for oral administration of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) was developed to achieve a prolonged release of EGCG in the gastrointestinal tract. Carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC) solution was added dropwise to chitosan hydrochloride (CHC) containing EGCG to form a primary coating by ionic complexation. Subsequently, β-Lg was added to create a secondary layer by ionic gelation. The obtained EGCG-loaded chitosan/β-Lg nanoparticles had sizes between 100 and 500 nm and zeta potentials ranging from 10 to 35mV. FT-IR spectroscopy revealed a high number of hydrogen-bonding sites in the nanoparticles, which could incorporate EGCG, resulting in high encapsulation efficiency. EGCG incorporated in the primary coating was released slowly over time by diffusion from the swollen CMC-CHC matrix after the outer layer of β-Lg was degraded in the intestinal fluid. The sustained-release property makes chitosan/ β-Lg nanoparticles an attractive candidate for effective delivery of EGCG.

Folate conjugated chitosan coated EGCGnanoparticles (FCS-EGCG-NPs) were prepared using theionic gelation method with folic acid modified carboxymethylchitosan (FA-CMC) and chitosan hydrochloride as carriersof catechin EGCG. Characteristics of FCS-EGCG-NPswere determined using transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Synthesized FCS-EGCG-NPs were spherical in shape witha mean diameter of 400 nm. The maximum encapsulationrate of nanoparticles loaded with EGCG was 75%. FTIRspectra suggested formation of an amide linkage betweencarboxyl groups of FA-CMC and the amine groups ofchitosan hydrochloride. FCS-EGCG-NPs demonstratedsustained release of EGCG in buffer solutions of differentpH values. The antitumor activity of FCS-EGCG-NPstowards different cancer cells was also investigated. FCSEGCG-NPs had a greater tumor inhibition effect on cancercells having a large expression of folic acid receptors onthe surface than cancer cells with lesser expression.

The aim of the study is to validate the effect of glass fiber and polypropylene fiber on improving the mechanicaland durability properties of concrete. In this regard, glass fiber, polypropylene fiber and hybrid fiber were added to concrete, respectively. This paper conducted the compressive and bending flexural tests to confirm that the fiber enhances themechanical properties of concrete. In order to evaluate the durability of fiber reinforced concrete, the rapid chloride migrationtest and rapid chloride penetration test were carried out. The comparisons of experimental results illustrate that the hybridfiber reinforced concrete has the most significant effect on the concrete properties improvements. Moreover, comparing withthe glass fiber reinforced concrete, the polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete plays a better performance on mechanical anddurability properties.

Aiming at the sensitivity problems of uncertain factors such as parameter variation, external disturbance and friction for thepermanent magnet synchronous motor control system of electric vehicle, a fractional order complementary non-singular terminalsliding mode control method based on neural network is proposed. The mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronousmotor with uncertain factors was established. The sliding mode controller was designed by combining the generalized slidingmode surface and the complementary sliding mode surface, which shortened the arrival time from the state trajectory to slidingmode surface. The fractional calculus operator with fi ltering characteristics was used to improve the position tracking accuracyand reduce the chattering. As for the variety of uncertain disturbances, the neural network was used to estimate the system totaluncertainty and compensate online to further improve the dynamic response ability and anti-interference ability. Finally, thesimulation results verify the eff ectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method, which can provide theoretical and technicalsupport for improving the control accuracy of permanent magnet synchronous motor and the development of electric vehicles.
Effective length of counterpoise wire under lightning current
He, Jinliang,Gao, Yanqing,Zeng, Rong,Zou, Jun,Liang, Xidong,Zhang, Bo,Lee, Jaebok,Chang, S. IEEE 2005 IEEE transactions on power delivery Vol.20 No.2
In a high soil resistivity area, counterpoise wires are applied to decrease the grounding resistance of tower grounding devices. If the conductor of counterpoise wire is very long, although the power frequency grounding resistance of the tower grounding device is decreased, the lightning protection performance of the transmission line is still not good. The influences of the length of grounding electrodes on the lightning transient characteristic were analyzed. The dynamic and nonlinear effect of soil ionization around the grounding electrode was considered in the analysis model of transient characteristics for the grounding electrodes under lightning impulse. The counterpoise wire has an effective length when lightning passes through it. When the length of a grounding electrode exceeds the effective length, the grounding conductor will not be utilized effectively. The simulating experiments were performed to analyze influences of the length of the counterpoise wire on the impulse characteristics. The formulae to calculate the impulse effective lengths of counterpoise wires were proposed. The model proposed in the paper has been validated by comparing the numerical results with experimental tests.

Hao, Jinliang,Liu, Lanzhe Korean Mathematical Society 2008 대한수학회논문집 Vol.23 No.1
In this paper, we prove the sharp estimates for multilinear commutator related to Littlewood-Paley operator. By using the sharp estimates, we obtained the weighted $L^p$-norm inequality for the multilinear commutator for 1 < p < $\infty$.
Numeral analysis model for shielding failure of transmission line under lightning stroke
He, Jinliang,Tu, Youping,Zeng, Rong,Lee, J.B.,Chang, S.H.,Guan, Zhicheng IEEE 2005 IEEE transactions on power delivery Vol.20 No.2
The shielding failure is the occurrence of a lightning stroke that bypasses the overhead ground wires and terminates on the phase conductors. The correct design to improve the shielding effect of transmission line to lightning is one of the key problems of transmission line design. A numerical analysis model for shielding failure of transmission line based on electromagnetic field theory is proposed in this paper. The electrical field of the system including lightning leader, transmission line and ground is solved, the range of lightning current striking the phase conductor is obtained, and the shielding failure probability of transmission line is calculated. The lightning leader model and the critical breakdown electrical field intensity of long gap are discussed. The analyzed results by numerical analysis model are compared with those by the electrogeometric model.
