A study was made on 11 wheat lines to investigate the G-E interaction and their implication for prediction of the optimal number of replications, locations and years affecting upon the GAIN FROM SELECTION (Gs) for plant improvement on selection, explaining the interpretation of appropriate parameters related to genetic and environmental variances, variance and standard error for each variance compoment, and Gs. There appeared higher significant variations in 2nd order G-E interaction than 1st order G-E interaction, being desirable for plant selection programme. An examination of the relative magnitudes of the estimated variance components indicates that the important ones are σ²e and σ²gsy, which compute numbers of replications and locations as σ²e/σ²gsy, and σ²gsy/σ²gy, respectively. Broad sense heritability (h²) was calculated in grain yield and its components showing relatively high values. In general, Gs is augmented by numbers of replications, locations and years, and will be expanded by strong selection appearing high selection intensity. However, selection is usually conducted in early populations, sometimes which loss desirable genes. This will be protected by several selections as means of increase of number of replications. The most consideration for determining the number of experimental year (Y) is Gs/Y on programme of long or short term selections, no mather how Gs is augmented by increase of experimental years.

Objectives: This research was performed to investigate the effect of acupuncture using invasive low level laser therapy (LLLT) at Yolgyol (LU7)+Yogu (LR5) on weight gain, food intake, food efficiency, lipid metabolism, atherogenic index, HTR (HDL-cholesterol to total cholesterol ratio) and morphological change of hepatic tissue in hyperlipdemia rats. Methods: Experimental groups were divided into high fat diet group (Control group), high fat diet and acupuncture therapy group at LU7+LR5 (AT group), high fat diet and acupuncture group using 10 ㎽LLLT at LU7+LR5 (LA10 group), high fat diet and acupuncture group using 20 ㎽LLLT at LU7+LR5(LA20 group), high fat diet and acupuncture group using 60 ㎽LLLT at LU7+LR5 (LA60 group), once per 3 days during 9 weeks. Results: Body weight was decreased significantly in AT and LA20 groups compared with Control group. Food intake was increased significantly in LA60 group compared with Control group. Food efficiency was decreased significantly in LA10, LA20 and LA60 groups compared with control group. In the lipid metabolism, total cholesterol was decreased significantly in AT, LA10, LA20 and LA60 groups, triglyceride was decreased significantly in LA10, LA20 and LA60 groups, TG/HDL-cholesterol ratio was decreased significantly in LA60 group compared with control group. In the morphological change, hepatic tissue were not showed balloning degeneration and irregular arrangement of hepatic cell in LA10 and LA20 groups with control group. Conclusions: Acupuncture using LLLT at LU7+LR5 can manage hyperlipemia by controlling body weight, food intake, food efficiency ratio and lipid metabolism.

Normally the first generation of hybrid is supplied for farm rearing, precise and labor saving sex discrimination is needed. The new strain Hansaengjam is sex-limited (♀:larval markings, ♂:no-markings) strain which was bred from both sex-limited strain Japanese originated Jam 153 and Chinese originated strain Jam 154. Productivity test of Hansaengjam during 2007 and 2009 showed high healthiness and cocoon yield. The Hansaengjam is evaluated as an excellent strain from healthiness, cocoon yield and other test results.
Preparation of Water Dispersed Indium Tin Oxide Sol Solution

<P>Indium tin oxide (ITO) nanoparticles with In/Sn = 9:1 (at.%) were synthesized by chemical coprecipitation method in an aqueous solution. The coprecipitate prepared at room temperature showed the crystal structure of indium oxide in X-ray diffraction when it was annealed at the temperature above 300°C under air atmosphere. Reduction process was accomplished to improve the electrical property of ITO powder. Green ITO powder with particle sizes in the range of 20–30 nm was well dispersed by an addition of polyvinylpyrrolidone in an aqueous solution. The dispersibility of ITO sol solution was studied at different conditions by using ?-potential analyzer. Transmission electron microsopy (TEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS) were used to characterize morphology and composition of ITO nanoparticles.</P>
