      • Network Intrusion Detection Model based on Combination of Fisher Score and ELM Approach

        The diversity and concealment of network attack lead to the difficulty of network intrusion detection, in order to further improve the detection accuracy and efficiency of network intrusion detection, this article proposes a novel model FS-ELM, which is based on the combination of Fisher Score (FS) for feature selection and ELM classifiers for network intrusion detection. In the proposed model, FS is used to conduct feature selection to select the most distinguished feature subsets, and then to get diverse training subsets, in terms of these subsets, ELM classifiers are trained. Finally the results are achieved. Experiment on KDD CUP 99 data set, by means of the experimental analysis and comparison with SVM, LS-SVM and KNN, the proposed model not only improves the detection accuracy, but also enhances detection efficiency, it proves that it is an effective model for network intrusion detection.

        The mess caused by fast-and loose subprime lending in the U.S. has now blown into a perilous global crisis of credit that has revealed both the scale and the limitation of globalization. Finance is built on trust, and suddenly that trust has been replaced by fear. This will be altogether more testing for the American economy as well as the world"s economies. After this new "prosperity-decline" cycle in the real estate, mortgage and mortgage securities market. The paper systematically summarizes the causes of SMC, and then tries to figure out the relationship between the causes in those different markets. The answer lies in a toxic combination of failures in credit risk management and regulatory oversight, as well as skewed incentives.

        School Consolidation: Whither China’s Rural Education?

        The School Consolidation Policy in the 1990s significantly impacted Chinese rural compulsory education and Chinese rural communities. Although this policy has been involved in many negative news reports, there is a lack of scientific research on it. To address the research gap, this paper first delineates the evolution of this policy, which was formed to balance the disparity between urban and rural education, accelerated by rural financial reformation and aborted due to various emerging problems. It then discusses the educational problems caused by the policy including misallocated resources, poor quality, rising costs, student safety issues, high dropout rate, and lost rural culture heritage. Through the analyses, this paper provides a clear picture of the development of Chinese rural education, and offers implications for improving educational policy, promoting educational quality, and securing educational rights of students in rural China.

      • Effects of Thermotherapy on Th1/Th2 Cells in Esophageal Cancer Patients Treated with Radiotherapy

        Background: To investigate the effects of double radiofrequency hyperthermia on Th1/Th2 cells in esophageal cancer patients treated with radiotherapy. Materials and Methods: 22 patients with esophageal cancer were divided into a radiotherapy group (10 cases) and a combined group (double radiofrequency hyperthermia combined with radiotherapy group, 12 cases). Both groups received conventional radiotherapy using a cobalt-60 therapy apparatus (TD60-66Gy/30-33F). Patients in the combined group also underwent double radiofrequency hyperthermia (2F/W, 8-10F). Before and after treatment, Th1, Th2, Tc1 and Tc2 cells in peripheral blood were determined with flow cytometry. Results: In the radiotherapy group, Th1 cell contents before and after radiotherapy were $17.5{\pm}5.26%$ and $9.69{\pm}4.86%$, respectively, with a significant difference (p<0.01). The Th1/Th2 ratio was significantly decreased from $28.2{\pm}14.3$ to $16.5{\pm}10.4 $(p<0.01). In the combined group, Th1 cell content before radiotherapy was $15.9{\pm}8.18%$, and it increased to $18.6{\pm}8.84$ after radiotherapy (p>0.05), the Th1/Th2 ratio decreasing from $38.4{\pm}36.3$ to $28.1{\pm}24.0$ (p>0.05). Changes in Th2, Tc1 and Tc2 cell levels were not significant in the two groups before and after therapy (p>0.05). Conclusions: Double radiofrequency hyperthermia can promote the conversion from Th2 to Th1 cells, and regulate the balance of Th1/Th2 cells.

      • A Study of Bangladesh’s Maritime Strategy Options and Its Development Prospects

        The Bay of Bengal, the largest bay in the world, is of strategic importance to the littoral countries including Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand. With 118,000 square kilometres of territorial waters, a 200 nautical mile exclusive economic zone and a portion of the continental shelf, following the successful resolution of maritime boundary disputes with its neighbours, Bangladesh has an excellent new opportunity to make full use of the sea and its resources. Bangladesh has placed a high priority on the Blue Economy in its maritime strategy in recent years, with an emphasis on driving the country's blue economic growth and achieving sustainable development goals. The vast potential for commerce and trade, tourism, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and access to deep-water ports is an opportunity to develop Blue Economy. In view of its interests in the vast maritime areas of the Bay of Bengal, an in-depth understanding of Bangladesh's maritime strategy would be useful to gauge the overall strategic situation in the Bay of Bengal in a timely and effective manner.

        Global Mittag-Leffler Lag Projective Synchronization for Caputo-type Delayed Cohen-Grossberg Fuzzy Neural Networks

        This article discusses a question about the global Mittag-Leffler lag projection synchronization (GMLLPS) for a class of delayed fractional order Cohen-Grossberg fuzzy neural networks (FOCGFNNs). Firstly, the novel model of delayed FOCGFNNs is proposed, which is the sense of Caputo derivative. Secondly, two types of controllers with the sign function are designed. Applying Lyapunov’s direct method for functions, differential meanvalue theorem, inequality techniques and Razumikhin theorem, some conditions for the GMLLPS of FOCGFNNs are derived. Eventually, the usefulness of the main results presented is further tested by simulations.

        Surface Renewable Hydrogen Ion-Selective Polymeric Composite Electrode Containing Iridium Oxide

        A surface renewable pH electrode was prepared by utilizing composite electrode technique. Iridium oxide micro-fine particles was prepared by hydrolysis of (NH4)2IrCl6 at elevated temperature. The iridium oxide particles were mixed with well-dispersed carbon black and then filtered. The mixture was suspended in DMF containing PVC as a binder. The mixture was precipitated rapidly by adding large amount of water. The precipitate was ground and pressure-molded to iridium oxide composite electrode material. The electrode showed linear response between pH 1-13 with 50 to 60 mV/pH slope. The electrode maintained the pH response without appreciable slope drift for 170 days if stored in deionized water. The electrode surface can be renewed reproducibly by simple grinding process whenever contaminated or deactivated.

        Enantioseparation and Determination of Sibutramine in Pharmaceutical Formulations by Capillary Electrophoresis

        Sibutramine enantiomers were separated successfully by capillary zone electrophoresis using substituted cyclodextrins as chiral selectors. The effects of cyclodextrin concentration, pH, voltage, buffer type, and electrolyte concentration on the migration time and resolution of enantiomers were examined. Separation of sibutramine enantiomers on an unmodified fused silica capillary (total length, 54 cm; effective length, 45 cm) was achieved using a mixed buffer of 20 mM phosphate/10 mM citrate containing either 5 mM methyl-β-cyclodextrin (pH 4.3) or 5 mM carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin (pH 6.5). Samples were injected with a pressure of 50 mbar for 5 s and were detected at a wavelength of 223 nm. The established method showed good precision and accuracy, with intra- and inter-day variations of less than 2.9 and 4.7%, respectively, and recoveries of 95.7 - 103.8%. The stability constants of (R)- and (S)-sibutramine demonstrated that the resolution of sibutramine enantiomers was attributable primarily to the difference in stability constants. When this optimized method was applied to the determination of sibutramine enantiomers in commercial drug formulations, it proved to be economical and convenient, affording sufficient accuracy, precision, and reproducibility as well as sensitivity and selectivity.

        Model-Free Adaptive Integral Backstepping Control for PMSM Drive Systems

        A SMPMSM drive system is a typical nonlinear system with time-varying parameters and unmodeled dynamics. The speed outer loop and current inner loop control structures are coupled and coexist with various disturbances, which makes the speed control of SMPMSM drive systems challenging. First, an ultra-local model of a PMSM driving system is established online based on the algebraic estimation method of model-free control. Second, based on the backstepping control framework, modelfree adaptive integral backstepping (MF-AIB) control is proposed. This scheme is applied to the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system of an electric vehicle for the first time. The validity of the proposed control scheme is verified by system simulations and experimental results obtained from a SMPMSM drive system bench test.

        Cyclic load experiment study on the laminated composite RC walls with different concrete ages

        12 typical laminated composite reinforced concrete (RC) walls with different concrete ages and 3 cast-in-place RC walls subjected to low frequency cyclic load were carried out in this study. The failure mode, force-deformation response and energy dissipation capacity of these specimens were investigated. Differences of structural behaviours between composite RC walls and common cast-in-place RC walls were emphasized in the analysis. The compatibility of the composite specimens with different concrete ages was discussed based on the experiment. Test results indicated that the differences between the lateral bearing capacity and the displacement ductility of the composite walls and the common walls were not so obvious. Some of the composite specimen even has higher bearing capacity under the experiment loading situation. Besides, the two parts of the laminated composite specimens demonstrates incompatibility at the later loading sequence on failure mode and strain response when it is in tension. Finally, this laminated composite shear walls are suggested to be applied in rapid reconstruction structures which is not very high.
