        서울시 주민생활지원을 위한 공공시설의 현황 및 복합화 특성에 관한 조사연구

        The aim of this research is to understand the characteristics and status of existing public facilities, in order to propose the necessary basic materials for the planning and development of improved public facilities to assist communities. Objects of this research are the public facilities provided by the Government throughout the 25gu in Seoul. The methods of this research were carried out through the home page of each facility, telephone inquiries and gujung backseo. Investigations were carried out 3 times between the periods of January-June and September in 2009. Results of the research are as follows - 1) Through the investigations of classifications and distribution status of 5 public facilities over 25gu, quantity supply problems were analyzed. 2) Building distributions of 5 public facilities were classified by types and analyzed. 3) A number of compound facilities were classified and analyzed to determine the complexities of the 5 public facilities. 4) Complex types and characteristics of public facilities in 25gu in Seoul were analyzed. Based on the results of the research, the following conclusions are drawn: 1) Public facilities throughout the 25gu in Seoul have common characteristics and functions and they are spread out evenly in each gu. This means that public facilities are standardized in Seoul. Characteristic public facilities suitable to each gu should be planned accordingly. 2) Public facilities in Seoul show a single form of one facility. Therefore, initiative plans for the complexity of facilities are required. 3) Complex public facilities in Seoul need to be the center of community life in each gu. It is necessary to take into account the diverse life styles and classified needs of residents for complex facilities. Based on the research, complex types such as public administrative+cultural facilities, culture+welfare facilities, medical+welfare facilities can be presented. These complex types should not be classified according to any particular use, but they should be commonly used by diverse generations and every social class. The inquiries of users of public facilities and the programs of each public facility are not included in this research. Thus, the reseaarch limits the proposals for complex public facilities. In the future, the characteristics of each gu in Seoul should be studied and understood, so that appropriate public facilities and their complex plans can be researched continuously and necessarily.

        수서영구임대단지 주거환경개선 방안제시를 위한 주민참여워크숍 과정에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this research consists in the process analysis and studying of the Residents-Participated Workshop which aims to improve the environment of common areas at the rental apartments, and also to present the spacial designs for the improved environment. The objects of this research are Susojugong Rental Apartments and total 3 Residents-Participated Workshops were held. The contents of the research are as follows; 1) Background and purposes of resident environmental improvement and associated group of people were examined. 2) Execution of Residents-Participated Workshop programs and the analysis of the process to present the plans of environmental improvement. The results of the research are; 1) representing variety of opinions and the increased sense of participation. 2) possibility of presenting designs initiated by residents through participatory design workshop. 3) improvement of relationships between managerial authorities, specialists and residents. 4) the place of interchange among residents. 5) necessity of assisting workshop tool, Resident-Participated Workshop programs and schedules. Environmentally improved designs which were presented at the workshop have been actually demonstrated at the Rental Apartments of this research. Follow up research on the process of construction, maintenance management of the construction after completion and the full contents should be studied further.

        1929년 조선박람회 출품주택 개최경위 및 평면 고찰

        The Chosun Exhibition was held in 1929 and the Architectural Association of Chosun(AAC) displayed model houses fur the fair. These model houses represented the new housing trend of the Chosun society, so this research was necessary to find out the facts. The main materials used for this research were issues from 'Chosun and Architecture'. The objects of this research was to find out the activity of the AAC and to classify the displayed model houses according to the structure, plan and interior. These three model houses depicted the improved housing designs at that time. Improved housing designs also depicted the convenience of everyday life, hygiene, improvement of facilities and the application of modem lift to that era. Therefore, these three houses would be revaluated as new models of houses for the Chosun society under education activity by the AAC.

        일제강점기 『조선과건축』 권두그림에 게재된 조선인 개인주택에 대한 고찰

        This research is about the Korean private residence as the actual housing published in Kuchie, 'Chosun and Architecture'. Research about the Korean private residence during the Japanese colonial period is important to find out the influence of foreign culture on Korean housing during that period. This research is necessary to reveal the tendency of modernization of Korean housing and how the foreign cultural relationship transformed and applied to the Korean housing. This research was carried out mainly on the 16 Korean private residences published in 'Chosun and Architecture'. The main subject of this research is to analyze the architectural floor plan, building material and heating facilities etc. Other important themes of the research are the practical side of actual housing plan, interior furnitures and fittings, electrical fittings and the classification of life style.

        일본 공동주택 시노노메 캐널코트의 단위세대 주거평면 분석

        The aim of the research is to find out the direction of unit-plans in multi-dwellings for the future society. Shinonome Canal Court where residents actually live now are the objects in this study, and the residential floor plan of unit-plans were analyzed to find out the typical types. The analysis was focused on the unit-plans of 5 blocks of Shinonome Canal Court. Space Syntax Theory was used as the analysis method. As the first stage of the analysis, justified graphs were made to find out the characters of unit-plans through the classification of the graphs. Contents of the analysis are as follows: Relationship between classified justified graphs and dimension according to node number. Relationship between classified justified graph patterns and unit-plans. Characters of unit-plans in each blocks. Shinonome Canal Court consists of mainly small scale unit-plans and 30unit-plans are classified. 1LDK, 2LDK, 1LDK+S, 1LDK+f are typical unit-plans which are mainly supplied in the complex. It is noted that the results of the analysis by node, justified graph pattern and dimension are the same. It also presents diverse unit-plans which shows a change in nLDK pattern or add f (foyer), AN (annex), S (service room), Fs (free space) to basic nLDK type. In summary, it demonstrates the possibility of creating new residental floor plans in multi-dwellings.

        서울 서촌지역 골목의 형태 유형 및 특성 분석

        'Alley' is the community space as the fundamental living space for local residents and also it's the space which characterize the local community. Research is needed to rediscover the value of alleys which are disappearing due to urban planning. This research focuses on Seochon (current Saejong village) alleys and classify the types of alleys where residential density is seen. Further, this research aims the analysis of dwellings which use the alleys and the characteristics of the layout of alleys. Followings are the research results; 1) Major classifications are 'through alleys' and 'dead end alleys' and there is higher ratio for dead end alleys. 2) Majority of Seochon alleys have the width of more than 1.5 m and less than 3.6 m. 3) There are four types of alleys and straight alleys are most common. 4) Various type of alleys can be found where the width is wider. 5) In case of dead end alleys, there is a tendency of both sides layout rather than one side layout of dwellings. 6) Clusters of hanok can be found at Chebu-dong, Tongin-dong, Nuha-dong and Tongui-dong whereas modern dwellings and villas are more common in Nusang-dong and Ogin-dong. This research analyzes the current status of Seochon alleys and rediscover the value of alleys. This research also provides and presents the basic data materials for continuous sustainable method to keep alleys which characterize the local area.

        서울시 주민자치센터의 시설 형태와 특성에 관한 연구 - 저층 고밀도 지역의 사례 중심 -

        Community centers have been public facilities for the welfare and conveniences for the residents since 1999. Currently, the numbers of community centers meet the demands in quantity, but they do not satisfy the quality service needs for the improved life style of residents and the activation of local community. Therefore, the purposes of this research are to find out the current status, types and characters of facilities for the quality improvement of community centers. As the research methods, 'home pages of community centers', 'gujung backseo' were used, and '40 case studies' were completed. Case studies were done by observation and research on the actual conditions. The case works were done between July- September in 2008. Followings are the results of the study; 1. Area measurements of the community centers are being increased since 2000. 2. Complex facility types of community centers are mainly public administrative facilities (community center)+public administrative facilities of mixed type. 3. There are three architectural types of community centers: horizontal type, vertical type, mixed type. 4. There are three classified entrance types for the community centers. 5. There are twelve classified facility types for the community centers. Community centers are usually mixed with diverse facilities, especially welfare facilities and cultural facilities. Proper community center types which contain the functional characters and varieties of facilities should be developed, and these active centers should be used conveniently by residents, thus, further study is required in this regard.

        1960년$\sim$2007년 수도권 아파트단지의 공동생활공간 변화 과정

        The purpose of this study is systematically to examine the changes that have taken place to the community spaces of apartment complexes in the national capital region of Korea. The methodology used in this study entails analyzing existing research and case studies carried out on this subject matter. Prior to these case studies, an existing study had been made of the chronological changes in policy, related laws and regulations in Korea since the 1960s. This case study presents the component ratio and systematized present situation of community spaces in twenty-two apartment complexes. An analysis of the researching process has revealed the following important factors related to the changes that have occurred in community spaces in apartment complexes. (1) Apartment complexes were originally developed in the 1960s to ease the housing shortage. Because the priority was to solve the housing shortage, community spaces were not widely considered or developed. (2) The standard of community spaces was established as mandatory by law in the 1970s, resulting in the emergence of various facilities that provided community spaces. (3) In the 1980s, various design competitions for apartment complexes were conducted as an attempt to improve residential environments. This process resulted in the development of new characteristic of subsidiary facilities. (4) During the period when housing problems were being addressed in the 1990s, the Community Service Center was added to the welfare facilities for residents. (5) Recently, during the 2000s, an improvement in residential environments has evolved due to the expansion of housing supply and economic growth. The quality of community spaces has therefore improved from the 1960s onward. This study revealed that policy and related laws regarding community space in Korea have been developing in a suitable direction and that the addition of various facilities to community spaces has improved the quality of living environments.

        공동활동참여도와 공동생활공간만족도의 효과 - 스웨덴 코하우징 거주자의 잠정적 주거조절 틀 속에서 -

        The purpose of this study was to find the role of participation in common activities and satisfaction with common space in a tentative housing adjustment framework for Swedish cohousing residents, applying the housing adjustment behavior model of Morris and Winter (1978, 1996). The data used for this research were a subset of data Choi and Paulsson (2011) surveyed from 12 Swedish cohousing units. Number of 216 cases whose age was 40 and over were selected and analyzed with Pearson correlations and hierarchical linear regressions by SPSS. The regression analyses included four main concepts as endogenous variables, which were participation in common activities, satisfaction with common space, overall life satisfaction, and intention to move out. The results showed that participation in common activities raised satisfaction with common space and overall life satisfaction but reduced intention to move out. Meanwhile, satisfaction with common space diminished intention to move out but did not impact overall life satisfaction. When overall life satisfaction was added to the final regression model, the direct impacts of security reasons, participation in common activities, and satisfaction with common space on intention to move out disappeared. It may be concluded that participation in common activities and satisfaction with common space acted as intervening variables in the tentative cohousing adjustment framework. Even though this study leaves further research on specifying the framework, it may be noteworthy as a first attempt that explains the flow of main concepts. This study may broaden the possibility of empirical studies to develop an analytical path model of housing adjustment for cohousing residents.
