        Abstract- In a plasma source ion implantation, the target is successively biased by negative voltage pulses with an intrinsic finite rise time, resulting in the time-dependent sheath formation around the target. Measurement of time-dependent sheath during the pulse rise show the ion matrix sheath development which is in proportion to square root of time and pulse rise rate over plasma density but independent of the ion mass.

        The issues for the aged have been appearing on the stage as the deep social problems since the end of 1970's when our communities began to enter into high level industry, which were concerned by people in modern times. The starting time to study on the aged in Korea was from the 1960's. Moreover, it was lively proceeded during the end of the 1970's and the 1980's. At first, it mainly dealt medical issues for them, then, spread up to their social concerns later. This study was to research about the participating type of the aged' leisure, sports activities, as well as its changable relationships with life satisfaction on the premise regarding the necessity of positive practice toward leisure and its participation as the positive solution scheme from the aged' issues, which was based on the social concerns related with the aged. According to the questionary method, to select the main group who were over 60-years-old, men and women in Pusan, it was studied and analyzed regarding the realities of the aged's leisure activities, the participating attitude in sports, the relationships between the degree of satisfaction life when participating in sports activities and the life satisfaction. The results were as follows ; 1. Among the low ranking scopes of the participating attitude in sports, in case of participating in sports for the self-training of character-building themselves, it significantly had and effect on the satisfaction of life. 2. In case of building their own character through sports activities, it had the highest effect on the satisfaction of life. 3. The satisfaction of sporting activities in their childhood had and effect on the life satisfaction.

        한국 정신장애의 역학 조사 연구[I] : 각 정신장애의 유병률

        Objectives : This study aims to estimate the prevalence of the DSM-IV psychiatric disorders in Korean population using the Korean version of Composite International Diagnostic Interview (K-CIDI). Methods : Subjects were selected by taking multi-stage, cluster samples of 7,867 adult household residents, 18 to 64 years of age, in ten catchment areas. Total 78 trained interviewers administered the K-CIDI to the selected respondents, from June 1 to November30,2001. Results : Total 6,275 respondents completed the interview. Some 33.5% of respondents reported at least one lifetime disorder, 20.6% reported at least one-year disorder, and 16.7% reported at least one-month disorder. The most common lifetime disorders were alcohol abuse/dependence (17.24%), nicotine dependence/withdrawal (11.19%), specific phobia (5.16%), and major de-pressive disorder (4.25%). The lifetime prevalence of substance abuse/dependence (0.25%) and schizophrenia (0.16%) was very low. Nicotine and alcohol use disorder showed very high male/female ratio. Mood disorder and anxiety disorder were more prevalent among female than male. Conclusion : The prevalence of psychiatric disorders was high. In comparison with other studies, remarkable differences in distributions of psychiatric disorders across the areas and times were observed.

        Local government area plays a significant role in the administration of the state or local self-government and it also has a logical significance as an area where its inhabitants manage their daily life and maintain mutual ties. This implies that local administrative region is closely related to the efficient performance of administrative functions and maintenance of regional unity to cope with the complicated changes of modern society. The boundary of local self-government may not be considered separately from its functions, because regional limits within which such functions are performed varies according to the nature and substance of established functions of local self-government. The regional limits should also be properly adjusted according to the change of administrative functions of local self-government. On the other hand, the local administrative region has provided its inhabitants with a sphere of collective life for a long period of time and therefore it is deeply connected with their sentiment and spiritual ties. The change of region to meet new administrative demand without considering such regional factors will cause entrangement physically and spiritually between the inhabitants and local self-government, thereby lowering administrative efficiency. The boundary of local self-government is also deeply related not only to the efficient performance of state or local administration, but to the participation of the inhabitants in administration and administrative control as manifested by the idea of democratic politics. In other words, local administration should take into account the participation of the inhabitants and easy satisfaction of the principle of autonomy. From this point of view, the issue of local administrative region should be dealt with in the direction of its proper readjustment with mutual harmonization between the variables of regionalism and localism (local centralization of administration) among those for the enhancement of state and local administrative efficiency, maintenance of regional unity and administrative democratization. In the actual determination of proper scale of an administrative region, the manipulative definition and measurement of all variables involved should of course be preceded. It is intended in the present paper to analyze the problems of major foreign countries and investigate those involved in the local self-governing region of our country, thereby establishing the criteria of administrative region and designing the direction of its improvement.

      • 英國地方自治에 있어서 再編成과 廣域行政

        This study deals with ways in which administrative districts, units or areas were determined in relation with expanding scale of administrative process as well as erea in the case of local government of Great Britain. There seems to be a consensus regarding regionalism, for both supporters and reformers of the regionalism in England, as a developed forms of local administrative organization rather than front desks of the national government. 1. Division of region was not broken in to the present fashion like a county or countyborough but to employ extended form of county which can embrace both rural and urban areas. 2. Creation of a new government agencies in the unit of region performs general administrative in terms of regionalism rather than special functions. The nineteenth century fashion of local government was based on the abundant specialized agencies in local level that caused great deal of confusion and inability. 3. Regionalism was developed to meet the sphere of administrative techniques of local administration. Thus, therefore its concept differs from that of decentralized central government which is not a unit of local administration. Regionalism therefore, anticipate the local assembly which is to be established by democratic procedures. 4. Regionalism seeks the dual character rather than single administrative unit such as country or country borough. Administrative region unit of local government performs a comprehensive function of the regionalism and any other matters shall be performed by an unit below the regional unit. Regionalism serves for morden planing and implementation of public administration, in changing social and economic situation with a framework of regionalism and to remove ideals of specialized unit single-tier system. Therefore it not only solve various administrative problems but it is placed in the superiority on local unit making as well.

      • 분산중합에 의한 단분산의 Poly(methyl Methacrylate) 고분자 입자의 제조

        Monodisperse polymer particles have many industrial applications such as surface coatings for metal panels, chromatographic media, spacers for liquid crystal display panel, and fillers for cosmetics, etc.. Micron-size monodispersed poly(methyl methacrylate) particles were prepared by conventional dispersion polymerization in methanol medium in the presence of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) and 2.2'-azobis (isobutyronitrile) as steric stabilizer and initiator, respectively. Effects of polymerization parameters, such as monomer and initiator concentration, stabilizer type and concentration, solvent composition of average particle size and size distribution were studied. Various acrylic crosslinkers including EGDMA, TEGDMA, 1,4-BDA, 1,4-BDMA were examined in a single-stage dispersion polymerization.

      • 自治基盤 强化를 위한 地方行政改革에 관한 硏究

        It is said that the development and maintenance of democracy depend entirely upon the local self government. From this point of view, it is inevitable for a modern state to enforce the proper local self governing system, if its people want to social-and political democracy. The issue to establish the local government system in the shortest future is therfore the most significant task for the Korean to be solved as soon as possible. And I think it's a fortune that the Local Government Ace is going to be forced in Korea before long and the arguements on the schems of that are vigorously under way among the politicians and the experts. However, I cannot but doubt that we can sucessfully settle down the western local government system in Korea as our own. The main problem is that the existing Korean local bodies are so incongruent that they cannot efficiently govern therselves. I think therfore the readjustment of the local bodies is the urgent and preliminary task befor the enforcement of the Local Government Act. In fact, England and the other countries which have long history and plentiful experiences in local autonomy had also reformed local governments in order to revive and to promote the self governing abilities. The problems which are pointed out face to the enforcement of Local Government Act can be abstracted in three main categories as follow; (ⅰ) The dependancy of the local government finance; the financial dependancy to the central government prevent the local governments from governing themselves by their own will and further more there are extraordinary gaps of financial abilities among the metropolitan-and rural local bodies. (ⅱ) The excessive centralization of the political power and the administrative functions; the political power and administrative functions are so excessively centralized that the local governments can hardly meet to the local needs of their own by themselves. (ⅲ) The incongruence and inequality of the size and population of the local bodies; the boundaries of the local bodies had been demarcated in the Yi-dynasty or in the Japaness colonial time for the purpose of administrative control, therefore the size and populations are so big that the effective participation of the inhabitants is impossible. There can be many ways to solve these problems, but the basic directions as follow should be considered; (ⅰ) Adjust the taxes, rates and state subsidy to guarantee the financial independence of local governments and to make the local governments enable to meet their local needs by their own revenue. (ⅱ) Redistribute the political power and administrative functions between central-and local governments to minimize the central control and to make the local authorities do their local services by their own will. (ⅲ) Reorganize the areas of the local governments in order to ensure the financial and personal abilities, to secure the convenience of inhabitants participation and control and to minimize the antagonism among the regions.

      • 식도암의 임상적 고찰

        A Clinical observation was made in 52 cases of patients with esophageal cancer at Chosun University Hospital during about 5years from january 1981 until may 1986. The following results were obtained: 1. The peak age of patients was fifth decade. The average age of patients is 55.7 years old. The sex ratio is 7.6 : 1 with a greater prevalence male. 2. Duration of the disease before admission was relatively long, about 4~6 months is 48% of all case. 3. The most common initial symptoms were swallowing difficulty, weight loss, substernal pain. 4. On the majority of patients, Heavy s.noking was manifested. 5. In blood type, A type was predominent. 6. In location of tumor, 69.2% of total cases were located in mid esophagus. 7. In histopathologic finding, 73% of total cases was squamous cell ca.
