The purpose of this paper is presenting helpful materials for direction and advancing skills by analysing motions of back handspring of the gymnasts who represent the province. After photographing back handspring motions of four college gymnasts who took part in the 64th National Athletic Meeting in the series of three-step running pace, round off, back handspring, tucked backward somersault with a movie camera (37 frame/sec), I could get the locus of motions. I compared the motions with ideal motions presented by specialist and get the following conclusion. 1. At the first landing, I found that they landed in a motion leaning forward by about 70°. I think this defect can be corrected through strong snap down practice in round off. 2. At the first landing, they erected their heads in 163°∼197°, and arms came down by 15° from the horizon when landing. I think this is a disadvantage to them in getting speed when the body is bent backward with arm-swing, and this defect can be corrected through the practice of landing with arms attached to ears. 3. At the phase from the first landing to the take-off, when bending the body backward, the head bent backward before swinging the arms. I think this is a disadvantage to them in getting sufficient speed when bending the body backward, and this defect can be corrected through the practice in which arms is attached to the arms intentionally in swinging arms backward. 4. At the phase from the first landing to the take-off, they swung their arms without relaxing the wrist. I think this is a disadvantage to them in bending the body speedily. 5. At the phase from take-off to hand touch, the legs were spread out during the inflight motion. I think this results from the gymnasts' habit of reducing the time which is used in tumbling by shorting their bodies, and this phenomenon happens among trained gymnasts unconsciously, reflectively and frequently. 6. In hand touch, the shoulder line was not cut, which is necessary so that the arms might be vertical against the land. I think this results from not getting sufficient speed in bending the body backward. 7. After the hand touch, the shoulder went forward and legs snaped down a little after the apex. I think this phenomenon happens because the hand off is delayed and the gymnast can't snap down the leg strong.

In this paper. variations of the period of cold weather concrete in Korea are discussed based on the climate data of Korean Meteorological Adminstration(KMA). Determination of the period of cold weather concrete with the region is done by following Korean Concrete Institute(KCD, American Concrete Institute(ACD and AIJ(Architectural Institute of Japan(AIJ) specification. Present study is compared with previous study done by the authors. Period of cold weather concrete is found to increase with high altitude and in-land and mountain area. Period of cold weather concrete by present study is shorted compared with that of previous study by about 3~6 days regardless of applied specification. Especially. the period of cold weather concrete at southern region near sea is reduced remarkably compared with that of previous study. This is due the rise of mean air temperature by global warming. In the scope of present study, period of cold weather concrete is provided with table and map diagram.

In the complex insulation system that is used in extra high voltage (EHV) devices, according to the trend for electric power equipment of high capacity and reduction of its size, macro interfaces between two different bulk materials which affect the stability of insulation system exist inevitably. In this paper, the dielectric strength decrease of the macro interfaces between epoxy and ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM) was estimated by using the applied voltage to breakdown time characteristics. Firstly, the AC short time dielectric strength of specimens was measured at room temperature. Then, the breakdown time was measured under the applied constant voltage which is 70 % of short time breakdown voltage. With these processes, the life exponent n was determined by inverse power law, and the long time breakdown voltage can be evaluated. The best condition of the interface was LOS (low viscosity (350 cSt) silicone oil spread specimen). When 30 years last on the specimens, the breakdown voltage was estimated 44 % of the short time breakdown voltage.

We report an Agrobacterium-mediated transformation procedure optimized for 'Kyoho' that is a major table grapevine cultivar in Korea, and its transgenic plants with antifreeze protein gene of carrot (DcAFP). The full length of DcAFP coding region in accordance with the previous report was isolated from young leaves of carrot and recombined into a plant transformation vector. Ethylene inhibitors such as silver nitrate and aminoethoxyvinylglycin (AVG) supplemented in a co-cultivation medium distinctly increased frequency of shoot regeneration when explants were sub-cultured in a selection medium: particularly ten-fold higher in treatment with 0.1 mg/L AVG than one without ethylene inhibitor. Among various antibiotics and their concentrations, the combination of 150 mg/L cefotaxime plus 150 mg/L $Clavamox^{TM}$ was selected for elimination of Agrobacterium cells in addition to minimization of adverse effect on shoot regeneration, while 50 mg/L kanamycin monosulfate effectively suppressed regeneration of non-transgenic shoots. Applying the elucidated culture condition, we finally obtained a total of 5 transgenic 'Kyoho' plantlets with DcAFP, of which integration with the grapevine genome and transcription was confirmed by nucleic acid analyses.

We report a new PCNB-degrading strain (PCNB-2) that is able to utilize and grow on PCNB (100 ppm) as a sole carbon source. This strain was identified as Alcaligenes xylosoxidans based upon 16S rDNA sequence analysis, API 20 NE tests and cell membrane lipid analysis. The new PCNB degrader Alcaligenes xylosoxidans PCNB-2 could find use in bioremediation of PCNB, which is environmentally persistent.
