생물학과 의학의 상관성

기관의 고유한 특징은 특정 단백질에 의해 유전자 발현이 조절되기 때문에 생긴다. 특정 기능으로 발달할 원래 세포는 특정 기능 유전자만 풀고 나머지 유전자는 히스톤 단백질에 의해 유전자 발현이 억제된다. 예를 들어 심장 세포는 심장 기능 유전자 열쇠만 풀고 나머지는 단단히 잠가둔 채 있다. 그러나 그 억제가 조절기능을 벗어나 그냥 잠가둔 열쇠가 풀리면 암과 같은 질병의 원인이 된다. 거꾸로 말해서 그 억제된 열쇠를 인위적으로 풀면 모든 세포를 복제 할 수 있다는 이론적 가능성이 된다. 우리는 그 발현의 시점 그리고 발현의 조건을 발생학적 “신호”라고 부른다. 특히 나는 이 신호 개념을 공간적 신호 개념과 시간적 신호 개념으로 나누어 설명한다. 신호 연구는 암 치료와 같은 현대의 학에서 필수의 연구영역이지만 철학적으로도 중요한 인식론적 패러다임을 갖는다. 특히 진화생물학적 시간의 의미를 배태한 시간적 발생 신호 개념을 수용할 때 그 철학적 기초연구가 탄탄해질 수 있다고 본다. 그런 시간적 신호 개념을 통해서 비로소 실질적인 의료 적용이 가능하다고 주장한다. Peculiar traits of organic occurs because of difference that gene expression by specification protein is controlled. We call the visual point and conditions of revelation of expression developmental biological “Signal”. I divide the signal temporal signal and spatial signal. The temporal signal research is not only the indispensable area of the biomedicine such as cancer treatment, but also a important paradigm of philosophical epistemology. The goal of this paper is to extend the argument that the temporal signal concept could be accepted through the developmental time conceived the history of life evolution. I’ll claim furthermore that medical treatment application could be realized through such spatial signal concept.

ICOMOS 건축문화재 보존원칙을 통해 살펴본 경복궁 흥례문 재건축과 근정전 수리의 문제점에 대한 연구

The purpose of this study is to examine reconstruction of the Heungnye Gate and the repair work of the Geunjeong Hall in the Gyeongbok Palace from the perspective of ICOMOS documents on architectural heritage. Some of the controversial issues, having been raised from the two projects, are selected and analyzed based on related ICOMOS documents. The principles of ICOMOS documents are used to analyze whether significant decisions, already made or to be made while reconstructing or repairing the two traditional wooden structures, are justifiable or not. According to the study results, the demolition of the former Japanese Government-General Building was inevitable for the sake of authenticity of the structure. Second, it is inappropriate to use imported woods and timbers in reconstructing traditional buildings. Third, making alterations to the original form, such as changing roof structure and making posts thicker than before, is not different from tearing up historic documents. Fourth, using modern tiles is incompatible with the ICOMOS principles that put a great importance on aesthetic values and original construction techniques. Fifth, incorporating wooden elements with synthetic resin goes against the principle of reversibility and is not traditional techniques. Lastly, using machine tools and electric equipment is to undermine the authenticity of traditional wooden structures where craftsmanship is an indispensable factor. It also deprives younger carpenters of a chance to learn traditional building techniques, preventing the transmission of priceless techniques to next generations.

논문 : 한국 5대 파국의 공감결핍에 대한 인지과학적 분석

필자는 최근 10년 한국사회가 겪고 있는 폐단의 고통들, 즉 4대강 사업, 원전사업 강행, 가계빚 조장, 공공성 파괴, 세월호 참사를 ‘5대 파국’이라고 이름 붙였다. 이러한 5대 파국은 i)진실 대신 조작된 신념을 대체하려는 분리주의의 독점적 확산, ii)생명의 가치를 공감하지 못하는 권력집단의 인지구조, iii)사실대로 드러낼 수 없는 것이 많은 그들만의 비밀주의, iv)기만적 권력을 정당화하기 위해 진실을 허위로 위증하는 자기기만의 악순환, v)과학적 담론을 회피하고 덕담을 가장한 맹목적 믿음의 전파를 조작하는 집단의지의 결과임을 밝힌다. 이 연구는 한국사회 5대 파국의 현상적 병증은 집단권력의 공감결핍에서 온 것임을 논증한다. 필자는 공감결핍의 원인분석을 위해 신경과학의 미시적 원인과 사회심리학적 거시적 원인을 추론했다. 마음이론과 거울신경계를 도입하여 미시적 원인을 분석했으며, 하이트의 도덕기초론을 논거로서 거시적 원인을 해명했다. 마지막으로 한국사회의 공감결핍증에서 공감성 확산을 어떻게 실현해야 하는지에 대한 이론적 대안을 제시했다. There has been super-abuses for the last decade in Korean society. These are ①Four Rivers Project, ②Enforcement of Nuclear Power Plant, ③Booming Household Debt, ④Collapse of the public, and ⑤ Sewol Ferry tragedy. I named them “Five Major Social Catastrophes in Korea”, Which is abbreviated as “Five Catastrophes”. The main purpose of this study is to elucidate the social cognitive causes of “Five Catastrophes”. So I will describe that the Five Catastrophes are resulted from separatism, disregarding for life, secrecy, and political deceitfulness, which has been exposed under autocratic Korean authority. Next I will argue that these autocratic phenomena are typical figures of the lack of empathy. I, therefore, demonstrate that the syndrome of Five Catastrophes are deeply related with the symptoms of the lack of empathy. In order to justify my demonstration, neuroscientific microanalysis and macroapproach will be applied. I present the theory of mind(ToM) and mirror-neuron system(MNS) as a neuroscientific analysis and Social Psychologist, Jonathan Haidt’s theory of five foundations of Morality as a social approach. Finally, I suggest a theoretical alternative to extend and share the public empathy in Korean society.

저분산도 사회시스템 구현을 위한 철학적 성찰

사회 시스템 안에서 의사결정 구조는 그 사회의 커뮤니케이션의 통로가 얼마나 다양한지에 따라서 독재 및 전제 사회구조의 집중형 의사결정구조와 민주적, 문화다양적인 분산형 의사결정구조가 있다. 또한 분산형 사회는 고분사도 사회와 저분산도 사회로 나눌 수 있다. 폐쇄적 민족주의를 공통분모로 하는 고분산도 사회는 구 제국주의와 현 신자유주의의 주체 권력인 주류 고분산도 사회와 과거 서구 제국주의 및 냉전 체제의 피해자로서 기형적 권력구조를 양산하면서 개발독재 및 종족권력 독재형의 비주류 고분산도 사회로 다시 나눌 수 있다. 이 논문은 이런 분류를 통해 저분산도 사회를 지향하는 철학적 성찰을 제시한다. 성찰의 현실적 대안은 정책 이데올로기에 앞선 사회적 가치실현이 곧 양극화 해소정책과 같은 정책실현의 지름길이라는 점을 강조한다. 이 논문은 가치실현의 통로로서 지속 가능한 저분산형의 평등철학을 제안하였다. The Structure of decision making in the social system is classified into the autocratic centered structure and the diverse dispersion structure according to how many more ways of communications the society has got. Furthermore the dispersion society is classified into the low degree of dispersion and the high degree of dispersion. The society of the high degree of dispersion is characterized as twofold: the main structure such like neo-liberalistic societies and developmental societies. I suggest hereby the philosophical possibility of the low degree of dispersion in order to remedy abuses of the autocratic society of high degree of dispersion. The content of philosophical possibility that give emphasis to the realization of social values instead of political measures is a actual policy such like disentangle of economic extremities in Korea to stabilize the people’s livehood. It is a main theme of this article that the egalitarianism policy of low degree of dispersion is a sustain approach to the realization of social values.

생물학적 정체성

The research of the stem cell heads toward a revolutionary development in genetic therapeutics. But we must have a attention its ethical problems. At this point, we would make a social agrement or legally contract, as like a prohibition of embryo-research for a reproductive purpose, a sufficiently informed consent of embryo donation or no financial inducements etc, .But it need more, I think, a ontological question; such like what biological self is. The Philosophical approach of Stem Cell Research shall be consider the difference between the substantial view of traditional identity and relational view of biological identity. Through the substantial view of identity, we have got a knowledge the physical entities. But we must use the relatedness-oriented Identity concept, if we take a situation on the biological entities such as a stem cell. My article will be show that the relational concept of Identity may be worthwhile for the stem cell research, because of its immunological interactions. A stem cell is a special kind of cell that has a unique capacity to renew itself and to give rise to specialized cell types. Researchers hope that the study of human stem cell will lead to a better understanding of cell function, cell differentiation, and human development. Standing in the way of research are questions about how we should use human embryos. For those who view embryos as human lives deserving of the same respect as a child or adult, research that kills embryos is no more acceptable than would be research that killed adults. For those who view embryos as a collection of cells akin to other human tissue, research is acceptable and relatively uncontroversial. Embryonic stem(ES) cells and adult stem cells have different functions and characteristics. Embryonic stem cells come from embryos formed by in-vitro fertilization of a human sperm and germ. Embryonic stem cells can become all cell types of the body because they are pluripotent. In contrast, adult stem cells can be harvested from the blood, bone marrow and tissue of adults. Adult stem cells are but generally limited to differentiating into different cell types of their tissue of origin. It's unclear also, whether adult stem cells will prove as versatile as embryonic ones. The use of the patient's own adult stem cells would mean that the cells would relatively not be rejected by the immune system. This represents a significant advantage as immune rejection is a difficult problem that can only be circumvented with immunosuppressive drugs. There are various immunological issues with embryonic stem cells. Immunological rejection is likely to be an important problem. Little attention has been paid to the immunogenicity of transplanted fetal or ES-cell-derived tissues or to the need for immunosuppression. Overcoming the immune response must have a prominent role in the development of hES-cell therapeutics. It also means that the need for fetal and adult cells as a source of stem cells for medical research may soon be eclipsed by the more readily available and less controversial adult stem cells. It may be provable that the problem of immune rejection may also be circumvented if an individual's own adult cells can be used. But in order to solve fundamentally this problems, we must approach the philosophical understanding of a biological identity. For scientist's experimental approach could not avoid unexpected additional immunosuppressions.
