        어린이 건강관련 유해물질 연구방향

        To provide the research strategy for protection of children’s health from hazardous chemical, we reviewed the hazardous chemicals can be exposed through maternity, children's life style and living environment. Recently, diseases related with children’s living condition were focused as asthma, atopy, childhood developmental disability, congenital malformations and obesity. Children can be exposed to hazardous chemicals through an ambient air, water, soil, food, toys and other factors such as floor dust. Also children’s health was deeply related with a wrong life style and neglectful caring by a lack of knowledge and information of harmful ones at parents and child care center’s nursers. According to the previous study, the chemical risk factor of children’s health were identified as inorganic arsenic, bisphenol A, 2,4-D, dichlorvos, methylmercury, PCBs, pesticide, phthalates, PFOA/PFOS, vinyl chloride, et al. Domestic studies for identification of causality between children exposure to chemicals and resulted hazardous effects were not implemented. The confirmation of chemical risk factors through simultaneously performing toxicological analysis, human effect study, environmental/human monitoring, and risk assessment is needed for good risk management.         상해예방을 위한 무용슈즈 재질 변화와 바닥면과의 마찰 상관관계에 대한 정량적 연구

        This study includes the measurements of correlation coefficients of friction between the different materials of flooring and dance shoes using the sliding friction experiment (SG-9128). The aim of this study is to build a database applicable to various areas by procuring evidence through scientific experiments on the materials of flooring. Impact on dancer’s body in a variety of settings, and on the materials of dance shoes reduce damage to dancer’s body well-balanced, depending on dance shoe. Therefore, to determine correlations of friction among four types of flooring surface materials and three types of dance shoes, investigators measured coefficients of friction and intended the information helps dancers get optimum results. To control errors, two methods were applied. Results of this study found that the reasonable solution to reduce errors while experimenting on a slope was to insert weights at a constant weight of 380g in the dance shoes. 본 연구는 상해예방을 위한 무용슈즈 재질 변화와 바닥면과의 마찰 상관관계에 대한 정량적 연구를 위해 수행 되었다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 무용연습실이나 실제 공연장 무대의 바닥면과 무용슈즈 재질간의 마찰계수를 측정하였다. 물리역학적 측정기구(sliding friction experiment, SG-9128)를 사용하여 미끄러지는 과정을 정확한 수치로 측정 하고, 제어 가능한 재질의 순위를 집계한 결과 다음과같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 오랜 기간 무용수들이 선택해온 재질이 합리적이었음을 과학적 데이터로 입증했다. 둘째, 마찰계수를 측정하고 무용수에게 과학적 데이터를 통하여 최적의 효과를 줄 수 있는 환경을 구축할 수 있게 정보를 제공하고자 하였다. 따라서 지속적인 연구를 한다면 더 좋은 재질을 개발해 낼 가능성이 있고, 무용슈즈 재질변화에 따른 바닥면 사이의 마찰에 대한 정량적 고찰을 함으로써 무용수들의심리적 안정감과 상해예방 차원에서 본 연구의 큰 의미를 찾아 볼 수 있다.

        유해물질의 식품기준 설정시 위해평가

        Maximum level of hazardous chemicals in foods can be settled after overall investigation of tox-icological database, the representative exposure assessment, risk level on the present exposure level, the need of max-imum level establishment, making of maximum level scenario proposed under consumer protection and verificationof contamination reduction method and review of application efficiency on maximum level for risk management. Themaximum level should be needed when the risk value of specific chemical caused by food ingestion was high andontinuously unless the maximum level exists. The key role of the risk assess-ment is to improve the efficiency of the risk management to reduce the present risk level and make the risk manage-ment policy scientifically by setting the representative result of the risk assessment.

        Food MicroModel 과 황색포도상구균의 모니터링 자료를 활용한 시중 유통 김밥의 최대섭취유효시간 산정

        전국 4개 대도시(서울, 부산, 대전, 광주)를 중심으로 시중에서 유통되는 김밥 중 황색포도상구균의 오염도 자료와 환경조건별 미생물 변화를 예측하는 Food MicroModel^R을 활용하여 김밥 중 황색포도상구균으로 인해 식중독이 발생하지 않을 유효기간을 산정하였다. 분식점(n=79), 백화점(n=10), 편의점(n=20)으로 구분하여 분석한 여름철 평균 황색포도상구균 모니터링자료(검출률 각각 39.2%, 30%, 15%)를 시중에서 유통되는 김밥 중 황색포도상구균의 최대 섭취유효시간 산정에 활용하였으며, 모델 운영 시 김밥 중 황색포도상구균으로부터 enterotoxin이 생성되는 균수인 2×^7에 도달하는데 ℃~ 요되는 시간을 최대섭취유효시간으로 추정하였다. 하절기의 환경조건을 고려하기 위하여 ℃ 온도 조건하에서, pH, NaCl %, aw 0.99의 조건을 적용하였다. 추정된 최대섭취유효시간은 일반적인 성인이 김밥 1인분(171 g)을 섭취하는 것을 기준으로 하였을 때 구입 이후 28~30℃에서 방치할 경우 분식점은 3.9~4.6시간, 백화점 6.7~7.9시간, 편의점은 7.4~8.7시간이었다. 또한 구매한 김밥이 황색포도상구균에 기인한 식중독으로부터 안전할 최대섭취 유효시간은 99% 안전 확률에서 여름철 분식점 자료를 근거하여 30℃에서 1.9시간이었으며 15℃인 경우는 17.7시간이었다. The prevention of infectious disease from contaminated foods is very important in public health. Quantitative microbial risk assessment has been used in advance countries to achieve the safety of public health against hazardous microbial causing contaminated foods. This study was conducted to estimate maximum edible time without producing enterotoxin from Staphylococcus aureus in Kimbap selling at different domestic store using Food MicroModel and monitoring data and to compute maximum edible time by temperature with 99th percentile safety probability based on only restaurant data. For estimating maximum edible time, model operation conditions like reaching time at 2×10^7, which enterotoxin was known as producing point from S. aureus, temperature of 28~30℃, pH 5.2, NaCl 0.22%, a_w(water activity) 0.99, and intaking one serving size of 171 g in Kimbap were considered. Estimated maximum edible times by regarding outdoor temperature in summer were 3.9~4.6 hrs in restaurant, 6.7~7.9 hrs in department store and 7.4~8.7 hrs in convenient store. Based on restaurant data, estimated maximum edible times with 99th percentile safety probability by temperature were 1.9 hrs in 30℃ and 17.7 hrs in 15℃.
