After hastening seed germination by means of open ground storage during the period from the fall to next year spring, the growthes of seedlings seeded at different days were compared. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. The effects of seeding time on the length, diameter and weight growth of seedlings were irregular. However, each of the maximum growthes appeared on the 26th and 30th of March. Comparatively, the early seeding, the last ten days of March, was favorable for young seedling growth. 2. The contribution rates to the length, diameter, and weight growth by seeding time was 32.9%, 8.8% and 60.9%. The weight growth of seedlings was especially effected by seeding time.

청소년의 인터넷 중독 정도에 따른 정신과적 공존질환 및 행동 양상에 관한 연구

Objectives:This study aimed to clarify the differences in psychiatric comorbidities and, behavioral patterns correlating with the severity of Internet addiction in adolescents. Methods:We assessed 321 adolescents recruited from an Internet rescue school, psychiatric outpatients, and 4 schools in Seoul and Gyeonggido. We divided them into a non-addicted group, a potential-risk group, and a high-risk group according to Young’s Internet Addiction Test (IAT). We evaluated their psychiatric comorbidities and behavioral patterns via psychiatric clinical interview, the Children’s Depression Inventory (CDI), the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), and a self-report questionnaire about behavioral pat-terns. Results:There were significant differences in CDI and STAI scores among the 3 groups. The IAT, CDI, and STAI scores correlated positively with each other. There were differences in psychiatric comorbidity distributions between the potential-risk and high-risk groups, but only “other mood disorder” showed a significant difference. There were also significant differences in behavioral patterns among the 3 groups. Conclusion:This study suggests that there are psychiatric comorbidity and behavioral pat-tern differences according to Internet addiction severity in adolescents. We expect further studies will reveal more profound understandings of these relationships.

Korean Dictionaries and Some Model Dictionaries of the World : Critical Essays toward the Plan for a New Korean Dictionary

After briefly reviewing the history of lexcoigraphy in modem Korea, Nam Kishim tackles many problems created by the general deficiency of current Korean monolingual dictionaries in phonological morphological and semantic points. For example, most Korean dictionaries do not treat such phonological changes as the shortening of the stem vowel ㅓ in 더운, the prenominal form of the adjective 덥다, whose stem vowel ㅓ is pronounced long. The behavior of thin flat plates under transverse loading such that the non-linear geometric relationships must be included in the analysis gives rise to the large deformation theory of the plate. In present study, nonlinear analysis of a thin plate has been carried out by the finite element method based on the load incremental approach. Employing the method, it is shown that the small deformation theory is applicable to the plate if w/h≤0.3, and above this range large deformation theory is adequate. For the case of the clamped rectaugular plate with a circular hole, it is found that the stress concentration factor around the hole is about 1.6∼1.65.

Recently, the research on the automatic mobile tractors has become active, especially steering control system. It is required that the steering system is able to robust to external loads, and to have large torque in a small area. The steering system consists of hydraulic components, mechanical parts, a steering actuator replacing the steering wheel, and a control device. In this paper, we proposed the steering fuzzy-control algorithm for automated tractor and its effectiveness has been shown by field test on the straight road, s-type road, and crank-type road.

(3-Nitropyridyl)diphenyl phosphate: A Reactive Condensing Agenent for β-Lactam Formation

베타-락탐 고리화 반응을 위한 카르복시기 활성화 시약인 (3-nitropyridyl)diphenyl phosphate(3-NDP)을 diphenyl chlorophosphate, 2-hydroxy-3-nitropyridine 그리고 triethylamine을 methylene chloride 용액에서 반응시켜 얻었다. 3-NDP는 비교적 안정한 고체이고 반응후 부신물의 제거가 용이하므로 베타-아미노산 유도체의 N-C₂분자내 고리화 반응을 위한 카르복시기 활성화시약으로 사용하였다. A reactive condensing agent, (3-nitropyridyl)diphenyl phosphate (3-NDP), was readily prepared by the reaction 2-hydroxy-3-nitropyridine with diphenyl chlorophosphate in the presence of triethylamine. 3-NDP was found to be very useful for β-Lactams formation from amino acids in high yield, It is easily handled because 3-NDP is solid having some degree stability. Furthermore, 2-hydroxy-3-nitropyridine, a reaction byproduct, is readily removed from the reaction products by washing the reaction mixture with 5% aqueous sodium bicarbonate.

The purpose of analysis in elastic-plastic fracture mechanics is to determine the value of a characterizing parameter. In present study, a numerical method is described for the incremental elastic-plastic analysis by finite element method. Employing the method, we obtain the stress-strain distributions of material and plastic zone size. Special attention is given to the singular environment at a crack tip, characterized by Rice's J-integral, and its relationship with the crack-tip opening displacement.

Chlorella의 生理에 미치는 Ethrel의 효과

Ethrel의 Chlorella의 생리에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 Ethrel 농도에 따른 Chlorella의 생장, chlorophyll 형성, 광합성 및 호흡시능 그리고 체물질 함량의 변화를 조사하여 보았다. Ethrel 0.1 ppm 농도에서는 Chlorella의 생장이 촉진되었고 고농도의 Ethrel 처리구(1 ppm이상)에서는 억제되었다. 생장을 촉진하는 0.1 ppm 농도에서는 chlorophyll합성과 광합성 및 호흡이 촉진되었고, 탄수화물, 단백질, RNA 등의 함량도 증가되었다. 생장을 억제하는 300 ppm 농도에서는 모든 사항이 생장 촉진농도에서와는 반대의 결과를 나타내었다. DNA 함량은 생장의 촉진이나 억제농도를 막론하고 별 변동이 없었다. The purpose of this research was to define the physiological effect of ethrel on the Chlorella cells by determining the contents of chlorophyll, the photosynthetic and re-spiratory activity, as well as changes in various component material according to the concentration of treated ethrel. The growth of Chlorella was accelerated in low concentration of ethrel (0.1 ppm) and was restrained in high concentrations of ethrel (1, 10, 100, 300 ppm).
