Duplicated Geotextiles

Vol.40 No.6

Duplicated geotextiles to improve the weatherability were made of recycled polyester (PET) geotextile with carbon black as ultraviolet stabilizer and polypropylene (PP) geotextile by needle-punching method. Their physical properties, ultraviolet resistance, and chemical stability of duplicated geotextiles were evaluated. Retention ratio of tensile properties of nonwoven polypropylene geotextiles decreased by about 50% on exposure to ultraviolet light, but those of geotextile composites were slightly decreased compared with polypropylene geotextiles. Duplicated geotextiles which have larger weights of polyester geotextile were more stable against ultraviolet light. The changes of tensile properties of geotextile composites were in the range of -20∼+10% under the various chemical conditions.

Vol.27 No.3

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of needle retention(NR) and electro-acopuncture of low(EA(L)) and high(EA(H)) frequencies at Haegye(ST41) on intestinal hypermotility induced with carbachol in rats Methods : We made over-activated state of intestinal motility with carbachol in rats and caried out needle retention acupuncture, low frequency electro-acopuncture and high frequency electro-acopuncture at Haegye(ST41) or sham point in rat devided into pre-treatment group and post-treatment group. And we resulted as followings from measuring charcoal travel rate with observation of intestinal motility. Results :1. None of acupuncture, low frequency electro-acopuncture and high frequency electro-acopuncture at ST41 had significant influences on intestinal motility of rat in normal state. 2. Pre-treated with acupuncture, low frequency electro-acopuncture and high frequency electro-acopunc- ture and post-treated with acupuncture and low frequency electro-acopuncture at ST41 didn’t significantly influences intestinal motility in rat which over-activated with carbachol. 3. Post-treated with high frequency electro-acopuncture at ST41 suppressed intestinal motility in rat which over-activated with carbachol. Conclusions : These results suggest that treatment high frequency electro-acopuncture at ST41 may be effective on gastric disorders such as intestinal hypermotility and its effect had more cure than prevention.

        최은희,이은경,전주현,양기영,김영일,이현,Choi, Eun-Hee,Lee, Eun-Kyung,Jeon, Ju-Hyun,Yang, Gi-Young,Kim, Young-Il,Lee, Hyun 대한침구의학회 2008 대한침구의학회지 Vol.25 No.5

Objectives : The aim of this study was to compare the effect of needle retention(NR) and electro-acupuncture of low(EA(L)) and high(EA(H)) frequencies at $SP_6$ and Sham point in rats. Methods : Intestinal hypermotility was induced by feeding carbachol and experimental groups divided mainly into 7 groups which were normal, holder, control, acupuncture in normal state of rats, pre-treatment of acupuncture(NR, EA) in hypermotility, post-treatment of acupuncture(NR, EA) in hypermotility. We fed charcoal to them after the treatment and measured the travel rate of charcoal in the gastrointestinal track so that which treatment affected more in intestinal hypermotility. Results : As the following study, each acupuncture ways of EA(L) had significant effect of decreasing travel rate on intestinal hypermotility than EA(H) and NR. The comparison between pre-treatment and post-treatment, pre-treatment had slight more effect than post-treatment but not significantly. There was more affected at $SP_6$ than Sham point on this study. Conclusions : There were 21 groups to find out which treatment was best to slow down the intestinal motility and $SP_6$-EA(L)-C had significant effect compared with control group at the figure than any other groups. That meant $SP_6$ had effect on gastric disorder such as intestinal hypermotility and its' effect had more prevention than cure. Further study was needed to have more precise effect of EA and $SP_6$.

Vol.29 No.1

Objectives : The aim of this study was to compare the effect of needle retention(NR) and electro-acupuncture of low(EA(L)) and high(EA(H)) frequencies at SP6 and Sham point in rats.

2009 Journal of pharmacopuncture Vol.12 No.4

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of acpuncture and electro-acupuncture of low(EA(L)) and high(EA(H)) frequency at Haegye(ST41) on intestinal hypomotility induced with loperamide in rats. Methods : We made suppressed state of intestinal motility with loperamide in rats and carried out needle retention acupuncture, low frequency electro-acupuncture and high frequency electro-acupuncture at ST41 in rats devided into pre-treatment group and post-treatment group. We fed charcoal to them after the treatment and measured the travel rate of charcoal in the gastrointestinal track to analyze which treatment is more effective in state of intestinal hypomotility. Results : None of acupuncture, EA(L) and EA(H) at ST41 had significant influences on intestinal motility of rat in normal state. Needle retention at ST41 did not significantly increase intestinal motility suppressed with loperamide in rats. Pre-treatment of EA(L) and EA(H) at ST41 significantly increased intestinal motility suppressed with loperamide in rats. Post-treatment of EA(L) and EA(H) at ST41 did not have significant influences on intestinal motility of rat in normal state. Conclusions : These results suggest that treatment of EA(L) and EA(H) at ST41 may be effective on gastric disorders such as intestinal hypomotility and its effect had more prevention than cure. Further study is necessary to know more effects of ST41 and electro-acupuncture of low and high frequency.

2008 Korean Journal of Acupuncture Vol.25 No.2

Objectives and Methods: The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of acupuncture and electro-acupuncture (EA) at PC6 on intestinal motility in rats. We made over-activated state of intestinal motility with carbachol and suppressed state of intestinal motility with Loperamide in rat, and carried out acupuncture with needle retained (NR), Low frequency (2 Hz) EA and high frequency (100 Hz) EA at PC6 before or after the administration of carbachol or Loperamide. The charcoal travel rate was measured to evaluate the intestinal motility. Results: 1. NR showed no significant influences on intestinal motility of rat in normal state. While, 2 Hz EA and 100 Hz EA at PC6 significantly increased the intestinal motility of rat in normal state. 2. All of the pre-treatment and post-treatment of NR, 2 Hz EA and 100 Hz EA at PC6 showed no significant effects on intestinal motility of rat which was over-activated with carbachol. 3. Both pre-treatment and post-treatment of NR significantly increased intestinal motility in rat which was suppressed with Loperamide. 4. Pre-treatment of 2 Hz EA and post-treatment of 100 Hz EA significantly increased intestinal motility in rat which was suppressed with Loperamide. Conclusions: These results suggest that acupuncture (NR) and EA on PC6 have preventive and therapeutic effect on suppressed intestinal motility, and NR may be more effective than EA in that condition.
