        현대 남성 패션 가방에 나타난 신해체주의 특성 -2019 S/S~2021 S/S 남성 컬렉션을 중심으로-

        This study analyzed the characteristics and expression techniques of men's fashion bags and their aesthetic and formative values in modern men's fashion from the perspective of neo-deconstructivism. The study subjects were men's fashion bags appearing in four collections in Paris, Milan, London, and New York in the 2019 S/S-2021 S/S season. As a research method, the characteristics and expression techniques of the new disintegration of men's fashion bags were analyzed and categorized through prior research and literature research. The results of the study are as follows: First, the neoclassical characteristics of men's fashion bags caused 'Re-creation' to appear as the dissolution of the design principle and structure of the bag, and it was derived as 'decomposition of form' and 'decomposition of dress method'. Second, the 'Inclusive Diversity' of modern men's fashion bags of neo-deconstructivism appears in the form of gender demarcation and dissonance coordination. Third, 'Playfulness' in men's fashion bags involves the pursuit of fun through unconventional changes in the shape, size, and design of the bag, and it sometimes provides a fresh, new play experience through unpredictable design elements. Fourth, the 'Pursuit of new values' in male's fashion bags was a characteristic wherein the boundary between DIY attire and daily clothes and high fashion by the individual selection of consumers was blurred. This work is meaningful in that it conducted a basic study of men's fashion bags by examining the modern men's fashion bag from the perspective of the philosophical trend of neo-deconstructivism and categorizing its characteristics.

        남성복의 감성 및 선호 스타일과 실제 착용간의 차이

        시대가 급속히 변화함에 따라 남성의 라이프 스타일, 개성, 가치관 등이 다양하며 과거에 비해 남성복에 대한 기호도 변하였을 뿐만 아니라 또 남성복 시장이 증대되었고 전에 없던 새로운 스타일이 많이 등장하였으나 활발한 여성복 감성 연구와 달리 남성복의 스타일에 따른 감성 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 이에 20대 남성들이 주로 착용하는 스타일을 7가지 대표 자극물로 선정하고 자극물로 제시하여 각 스타일에 대한 소비자의 감성을 조사하였다. 스타일 1 (정장), 스타일 2 (라이더재킷+스키니 팬츠), 스타일 3 (블루종+스트레이트 팬츠), 스타일 4 (박시한 가디건+하프 팬츠), 스타일 5 (야전상의+스트레이트 팬츠), 스타일 6 (루즈핏 재킷+스키니 팬츠), 스타일 7 (야구점퍼+스트레이트 팬츠) 등 남성복 스타일에 따른 감성의 차이를 조사하였으며 성별에 따른 남성복에 대한 관심과 지식정도 차이를 비교하였고 남성복의 선호와 실제착용 간에 차이가 있는지 분석하였고 라이프 스타일 유형에 따른 선호하는 스타일을 측정하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남성복은 다양하고 세분화되었고 남성복에 대한 관심과 지식은 남성이 여성보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 남성복에 대한 감성은 스타일에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었지만 이는 성별에 따라 다르지 않았다. 셋째, 20대가 가장 선호하는 선호스타일과 실제로 즐겨 입는 착장스타일 간에는 차이가 존재하였는데, 일치하는 비율은 66.1% 이었고, 불일치하는 경우는 33.9% 이였다. 선호도와 실제 착용도가 가장 높은 것은 스타일 3 이었으며, 가장 선호되지 않고 착용되지 않는 것은 스타일 5 이었다. 넷째, 내향적보다 외향적 라이프 스타일을 지닐수록 더 다양한 스타일에 대하여 선호도를 나타내었다. As times change rapidly the lifestyle, personality, and values of men have changed diversely. Not only have preferences for men`s clothing changed, men`s fashion market has also grown, and novel, non-preexisting styles have come into place. Also, there are many studies on sensibility of women`s fashion while studies on sensibility of men`s fashion are insufficient. This study categorized common styles for men in their 20s into 7 different representative samples and investigated consumers` sensibility evaluations for each representative sample. Style 1 (suit), style 2 (rider jacket + skinny pants), style 3 (blouson + straight pants), style 4 (cardigan + half pants), style 5 (military jacket + straight pants), style 6 (loose fit jacket + skinny pants), and style 7 (baseball jumper + straight pants) were prepared in the evaluation questionnaire. The study compared male and female interest and knowledge of men`s fashion, evaluated the sensibility difference depending on the men`s fashion, analyzed whether there is a difference between preferred men`s clothing and actual wearing of the clothing, and examined the preferred style in relation with the lifestyle. The results are as follows: First, men`s fashion was diversified and subdivided, and interest and knowledge about men`s fashion was greater for males than females. Second, sensibility of men`s fashion had significant differences depending on the style, and it did not depend on genders. Third, there was a clear difference between the most favored style by the 20s and the actual style they commonly wear; the favored style and the actual worn style were consistent 66.1% of all the cases, inconsistent 33.9% of those. Style 3 had the highest preference and the actual wearing rate, and style 5 was the least preferred and worn. Fourth, the more extroverted lifestyle rather than introverted one, the more it was likely to prefer diverse styles.

        한국 중년 남성의 패션 취향 변화 연구 -1960~1980년대 신문 매체를 중심으로-

        This study analyzed fashion taste changes for middle-aged men (40-50s) from the 1960s-1980s through newspapers evaluated as socially influential media. As a result, the fashion interest of middle-aged men in the 1960s was very low, and the formation and selection of fashion taste was mainly decided by the wife. However, as the interest in fashion and fashion gradually increased in the 1970s, the interest and taste of fashion in middle-aged men started to change. In the 1980s, social equality and women's advancement into society began, and initiated the appearance of a youthful-looking casual style and establishing an individual subjectivity about fashion taste. Based on this, the specificity of the change of fashion taste among Korean middle-aged men in the 1960s-1980s were as follows. First, the changes in the aesthetic sense of middleaged men and the increase of fashion interest were due to changes in socio-cultural appearance standards. Second, there was an increase in the pursuit of individuality due to the weakening of fashion consciousness as a collective norm. Third, there were change in subjectivity about fashion taste and consumption.

        Theses: A Study on Formative Characteristics of the Metro Sexual in Men`s Fashion -Focused on Male Consumers in their 10`s~40`s-

        This study was attempted to be a help in estimating changes of men`s fashion in sociocultural environment by examining the diversified trends of domestic men`s fashion through literature review, fashion collection analysis and questionnaire in various aspects. For data collection in this study, questionnaires were used, and these were corrected and supplemented after preliminary survey for male consumers from September 2009 to March 2010. Among total 460 copies, 431 copies were used in final analysis. First, among typical factors of changes in image of men`s fashion, change of sexual role was shown as the most important factor. Contrary to men of the past, modern men are actively taking care of their appearance with changes of social values, which indicates that viewpoints on men have become flexible, such that the image of beauty does not apply just to women. Second, analysis on factors of image changes in men`s fashion by age revealed that high mean values were obtained in factors of change of sexual role and trend with difference between groups, and factors of expression of individuality were highly rated without remarkable difference, and aesthetic factors were poorly rated without significance. Third, analysis on preference for formative characteristics of the Metro Sexual showed that feminine materials were negatively rated, and analysis on wearing experience revealed that several items become popular, indicating that wearing experiences are increasing in various areas. This study suggests a new viewpoint of cultural sexual consciousness of the youth that is continuously changing, and is meaningful in understanding emotional and rational lifestyle and cultural style of Metro Sexual, a recent phenomenon of men`s fashion.

        The Change of Korean Men`s Fashion from the 1960s to the 1990s - A Study Based on the Content Analysis of Magazine Advertisements and Pictorials -

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes of modern Korean men`s fashion from the 1960s to the 1990s by reviewing fashion magazine advertisements and pictorials. For theoretical study, the characteristics and the importance of apparel advertisements and the changes of modern Korean men`s fashion trend were reviewed. On the basis of the theoretical investigation, this study analyzed 932 pictorials from Joongang Magazine, Shin Dong-A, Bokjangwolbo, Meot, Men`s Life, WWD, and S.F.F.A`s photograph album, published from 1962 to 1998. Content analysis method was used to analyze the content of magazines and pictorials. The 932 samples are classified into apparel types, silhouette, pattern, color, type of breasts, shape of collar, number of button, type of inner wear. Frequency and χ2-test were conducted using a SAS statistics package to analyse the data. The results were as follows. The two-piece style prevailed in men`s wear during the 60s, 70s, and 90s, while separate style prevailed during the 80s. H silhouette was the most popular during the 60s, 70s and 90s, however, X silhouette dominated the 70s. For patterns, solids were most frequently used throughout the whole 4 decades. In colors, gray was most frequently used during the 60s, and multi color was most frequently used during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Throughout the whole decades, single breast, tailored collar, two buttons, and dress shirts were the most prevalent styles.

        The Change of Korean Men`s Pants Design from 1962 to 1998 -Based on the Content Analysis of Magazine Advertisements and Pictorials-

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes of modern Korean men`s pants design from 1962 to 1998 by reviewing fashion magazine advertisements and pictorials. For theoretical study, the characteristics and the importance of apparel advertisements and the changes of modern Korean men`s fashion trend were reviewed. For sample selection, first, 932 pictorials of men`;s wear designs from Joongang Magazine, Shin Dong-A, Bokjangwolbo, Meot, Men`s Life, WWD, and SFAA`s photograph album, published from 1962 to 1998 were selected and then excluded some samples that could not clearly identify the pants design. Content analysis method was used to analyze the content of magazines and pictorials. The final samples are classified into pattern, color, length, silhouette, and existence or non-existence of turn-up. Frequency and x2-test were conducted using a SAS statistics package to analyse the data. The results were as follows. ; (1) Solid pattern was the most prevailed throughout the last four decades and followed by stripe, check, the others, abstract, dot and floral. There is no significant difference in the type of men`s pants pattern between each decade. (2) It showed a significant difference in colors of men`s pants between decades. The colors in men`s wear are divided into nine categories and the order of occurrence are as follows; multi-color is the most frequently shown and followed by brown, gray, blue, black, green, pink, yellow, and red. More various colors appeared over the period, however, multi color was the most popular in all decades but in the 60s. (3) Full length of pants style occupied more than 96% throughout all four decades. Due to the popularity of sports wear in men`s fashion during the 90s, the shorts style appeared not only in sports wear and casual wear but also in suit style. (4) There is a significant difference in silhouette of men`s pants between decades. The silhouette of men`s pants were divided into four types and their order of occurrence are as follows; basic, baggy, fitted, and loose silhouette. Basic silhouette was the most prevailed throughout the whole four decades. (5) A significant difference was shown in the existence or non-existence of turn-up of men`s pants between decades. Non-existence of turn-up of men`s pants was the most prevailed throughout the whole four decades.

        패션잡지에 나타난 패션일러스트레이션 표현 특성에 대한 연구 - 2002∼2013년 남성/여성 패션잡지 비교 -

        현대 패션산업의 발달과 문화적인 변화에 따라 다양하게 발전해온 오늘날의 패션일러스트레이션은 그 표현기법 뿐 아니라 대중과의 접점에 대한, 다시 말하면 어떻게 대중 매체에서 활용되는지에 관한 연구가 필요하게 되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 국내의 대표적인 남/여 패션전문잡지의 내용을 광고와 기사 및 칼럼으로 나누어 남/여 잡지에서 나타나는 패션일러스트레이션을 양적분석과 표현방법들을 분석하여 패션일러스트레이션의 실질적 활용현황을 파악하고, 남성패션잡지와 여성패션잡지 간의 특성에서 오는 패션일러스트레이션의 표현방법의 차이, 아울러 최근 12년간의 패션일러스트레이션의 표현양식의 전체적인 흐름을 살펴보고자 한다. 본 연구의 분석자료는 2002년부터 2013년까지의 여성패션전문잡지 보그(VOGUE)와 남성 패션전문잡지 에스콰이어(ESQUIRE)에서 추출한 총 1229개의 패션일러스트레이션을 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과, 광고에 있어서는 거의 나타나지 않았지만, 기사 및 칼럼에 실린 패션일러스트레이션에 있어서는 남/여 패션전문잡지의 양적 차이가 5배에 가까울 정도로 매우 크게 나타났다. 또한 표현방법을 살펴본 결과. 표현대상에 있어서는 광고와 기사 모두 남/여 잡지 모두 인체를 그 주요대상으로 하고 있으며, 공통적으로 포토몽타주양식이 표현기법으로서 가장 빈번하게 나타났다. 또한 표현양식에 있어서도 남/여 잡지 모두 구상적, 반구상적 표현양식이 대부분을 차지하였으며, 초현실적 표현양식은 매우 낮은 수치를 보였다. 본 연구는 작품집이나 갤러리의 작품이 아닌 실제 판매되고 있는 패션잡지에 발표된 패션일러스트레이션을 분석함으로써 그 실증적인 활용현황과 표현방법을 알 수 있고 또한 그 특성에 따라 이후 남/여 패션 잡지의 패션일러스트레이션의 방향성을 제안할 수 있는 것에 의의를 둔다. Fashion illustration, as it has evolved with the development of fashion industry and cultural changes, requires research on the way of expression in addition to the way it is used in mass media. The purpose of this study is: First, to grasp the use of fashion illustration in domestic fashion magazines; Second, to distinguish difference in fashion illustration of men's and women's magazines; Third, to examine a general trend of fashion illustration in past 12 years. The study was done through collecting quantitative data on use of fashion illustration and analyzing expression of fashion illustration in advertisements, articles, and columns of fashion magazines. Study subject includes 1229 pieces of fashion illustration of VOUGE and ESQUIRE representing women's and men's magazine respectively in Korea from 2002 to 2013. Use of fashion illustration in advertisements and columns-contrast to advertisement in which women's and men's magazine shows similar amount of fashion illustration- differed greatly with women's magazine using almost five-fold more than men's magazine. In terms of expression, human body is the most frequently used subject and photo montage the most frequently used method of fashion illustration in both men's and women's magazine. Also, figurative or half-figurative form of expression is mainly used in fashion illustration, while abstract form of expression is rarely used. The research is meaningful in that it analyses fashion illustration in magazines actually on sale thus, according to each characteristic found, suggests the direction of fashion illustration of both male and female magazines.

        현대 남성 패션에 나타난 피코크 레볼루션(Peacock Revolution)의 특성과 의미

        최근 몇 년간 현대 남성 패션은 인체 라인을 따른 핏된 실루엣과 고채도, 보색대비의 화려한 컬러감, 개인적 취향이 돋보이는 프린트, 패턴 이미지와 디테일 장식 등이 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 이에 앞서, 남성복의 다양한 표현방식이 본격적으로 시작된 1960년대는 사회·문화적으로 청년들의 의식 변화가 크고 그로 인한 표현을 개성적인 패션디자인으로 표출한 시대였다. 그 패션의 중심에 피코크 레볼루션(Peacock Revolution)현상이 남성들의 새로운 자아표현 역할에 영향을 미쳤다. 또한, 피코크 레볼루션은 남성과 여성의 개념에 대해 확고했던 당시의 고정관념을 탈피하여 청년문화를 통한 개성과 대중문화의 다양성을 나타내었던 사회·문화적 현상이었다. 따라서 본 연구는 각각 변화된 사회·문화적 배경에 대한 이해의 발판을 토대로 1960년대 남성복과 최근 5년간의 남성복을 피코크 레볼루션 현상에 비추어 비교, 분석하고 그 특성과 의미 파악을 목적으로 한다. 이는 남성복의 시대적 문화 특성을 비교, 분석함으로써 역사 변화에 따른 남성복의 개념과 새로운 의미를 짚어보는데 그 의의가 있다. 본 연구의 방법은 1960년대 피코크 레볼루션의 개념 정의와 이론적 배경의 탐구를 시작으로 하여, 1960년대 남성복과 최근 5년간의 남성복을 4가지 디자인 요소로 분류, 분석하였다. 두 시대의 피코크 레볼루션 디자인을 비교분석한 결과, 디자인은 사회·문화적 배경에 따라 한 시대, 또는 세대를 거쳐 소멸과 생성을 반복하여 변화되고 재구성됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 4차 산업의 영향으로 패션산업은 개성을 중시하고 개별성을 지향하는 남성 소비자를 위해 개인 맞춤형 디자인 생산 가능성에 대한 기대치를 더욱 높일 수 있었다. 이와같은 사례분석을 토대로 개별성, 양성성, 확장성, 혼재성의 네가지 미적 특성과 의미가 도출되었다. 앞으로 남성복에 대한 형식적 측면과 개념적 측면의 차이에 관한 의미과 특성 연구가 계속 지속되어 디자인의 창조적 표현에 지표가 되기를 바라는 바이다. For last several years, the modern men’s fashion has remarkably shown the fitted silhouette for humans’ body line, fancy colors of high-chroma and complementary color contrast, and prints, patterned image and detailed decoration showing individual tastes. Before this, in the 1960s when such diverse expression methods for men’s clothing were fully begun, young people’s consciousness was largely changed socioculturally, which was led to the expression of individual fashion design. In the center of the fashion, the Peacock Revolution had influences on men’s role in self-expression. Also, the Peacock Revolution was a sociocultural phenomenon showing the diversity of pop culture and individuality through youth culture, by getting out of the firm stereotypes of the time on the concept of men and women. Thus, based on the understanding of each-changed sociocultural background, this study aims to comparatively analyze the men’s clothing in the 1960s and for last five years through the Peacock Revolution, and also to understand the characteristics and meanings of it. The significance of it is to review the concept and new meanings of men’s clothing in accordance with the historical change by comparatively analyzing the cultural characteristics of men’ clothing of the time. Starting from researching the theoretical background and conceptual definition of Peacock Revolution of the 1960s, this study classified the men’s clothing in the 1960s and for last five years into four design elements for analysis. In the results of comparatively analyzing the Peacock Revolution design of two eras, the design was changed and recomposed through the repetition of extinction and formation within a generation or throughout generations in accordance with sociocultural backgrounds. Also, owing to the influence of the 4th industry, the fashion industry was able to more increase the expectation of individually-customized design production possibility for male consumers aiming for their individuality. Based on the case analysis, total four aesthetic characteristics and meanings such as individuality, androgyny, expandability, and mixture were drawn. In the future, there should be continuous researches on the characteristics and meanings of differences in the aspects of form and concept of men’s clothing, which could become an index of creative expression of design.

        현대 남성 패션에 나타난 이국적 취향(Exotic Taste)에 관한 분석 연구

        The purpose of this study is to examine the recent various developments of men`s fashion by analyzing how exotic tastes were presented in men`s modern fashion from 2001 to 2010. For this purpose, a researcher reviewed relevant studies to identify the styles of exotic tastes that were reflected in men`s modern fashion specifically in Chinese, Japanese, Indian, East Asian, American, North American and South American styles. Findings of this study is summarized as follows. Main examples of men`s modern fashion were found in Chinese-style apparel such as the magwae, queue, coolie hat and the Mao jacket. The Kimono and the samurai robe, both of which best represent Japanese apparel and the Japanese traditional patterns also had an influence on men`s modern fashion Indian style clothing such as dhoti, veshti and lungi which cover the lower body, vajani as loose trousers, kurta of full-over tunic form and turban also had an effect as well. The men`s modern fashion is also impacted by Middle Asian styles that includes the thobe, sirwaal, futah, which is sort of a skirt that is long enough to cover the calf and whose front parts overlap each other, turbans and the hempen hood which is fixed with the agal. Exotic elements such as animal skins, body painting, tattoos and head dresses found in African styles can also be found in men`s modern fashion. Parts of North American style influence come from the applications of Indians` costume and head dress. The surveyed men`s modern fashion of the South America style was represented by the applications of natives` costume and Andean tunic, loincloth and shawl. In all of the exotic styles found in men`s modern fashion, historicity, eclecticism, aestheticism and nature- orientation are implied. They are the source of inspirations that promote changes and diversity in men`s modern fashion.

        오늘날 사회가 다양화·복잡화되면서 라이프 스타일이 변화하여 소비자 스스로가 자신의 스타일을 만들어 내고 창조해내기 시작하였으며, 자신의 욕구 충족이자 이미지 표출의 도구로 생각하는 현대인들의 사고는 남성 패션에도 다양한 변화를 가져오게 되었다. 현대사회의 남성들은 패션을 선택함에 있어서 능동적이고 개성적인 면을 중요하게 드러냄으로써 정형화된 틀을 벗어나 자신을 가장 잘 표현할 수 있는 패션을 선호하고 있다. 또한 남성 패션 상품에 대한 소비자들의 욕구가 다양해지는 가운데 남성 패션의 시장도 점차 변해가고 있다. 21세기 패션에 있어서 현대 남성복의 원류라고 할 수 있는 19세기 서양 남성복의 댄디즘(Dandyism)은 18~19세기에 대두되어 현대 남성 복식 근대화의 계기를 마련하고, 19세기의 사회·문화적 맥락으로부터 자유로운 수 없으며 댄디즘의 유행을 불러일으킨 당시의 예술적 맥락은 중요한 요인이 된다. 본 연구는 19세기 서양 남성 복식이 미친 영향을 실루엣, 색채, 소재로 구분하여 이미지 자료를 통해 분석하였다. 19세기 남성복의 댄디즘의 미적 특성과 조형적 특징의 접목을 통해 남성 재킷에 응용하여 활용함으로써 현대 남성의 재킷의 다양성을 새롭게 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 댄디즘의 미적특성을 살려 독창적이고 창의적인 현대 의상디자인으로 재탄생시키는데 의의가 있으며, 현대 패션의 특징적 흐름에 착안하여 19세기 남성복의 요소를 기성복을 넘어서 조금 더 창의적인 스타일을 재창출할 수 있는 표현방법을 모색하고, 감각 있고 창의적인 제시하며, 새로운 디자인을 창조하는 새로운 패션 경향의 기초 자료가 되는 시발점이 되었으면 한다. 앞으로 19세기 남성복의 댄디즘을 다각적인 시각에서 연구·분석하고 다양한 패션 경향과 연계하여 패션디자인에 적용할 수 있는 효율적이고 창조적인 방법이 다양하게 제시되기를 바란다. In the current climate of today’s world, lifestyle has changed and presented changing factors requiring a necessity for social diversification. Individuals as lone sole persons and/or customers need to possess a stronger element of independence in relation to fashion style(s). Thinking of modern persons regarding it as a tool for satisfying their desire and expressing the image will bring out a variety of changes in men's fashion. Men in the modern society prefer fashion that is able to show them at their best, displaying the more active individual and allowing for a wearer to step out of the concept of the fixed frame. In addition, the modern customer's desire for men's fashion goods is gradually beginning to vary accordingly to what is seen across the male fashion market. The study reviewed the dandyism of the 9th century's men's clothing that is most likely the origin of the 21st century's modern men's clothing. The 18th and 19th centuries' arrangement of modern men's clothing culturally formulized the desire and opportunity for modernization; this did not happen outside of the standard sociological and cultural aspects of the 19th century. The effect of 19th century's men's clothing on modern men's clothing was additionally analyzed using imagery, materials, silhouette, color and fabric work. Based on such a study, the aspects of 19th century's dandyism and emerging modern fashion can be seen. This allowed for the factoring in the men's clothing on the basis of the characteristics of modern fashion, the suggestion of sensual creative designs and the creation of new designs.
