        Memristive devices with a large memory margin based on nanocrystalline organic-inorganic hybrid CH<sub>3</sub>NH<sub>3</sub>PbBr<sub>3</sub> perovskite active layer

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Perovskite materials have been utilized as promising active materials for memristive devices due to their excellent properties. However, most reported perovskite-based memristive devices exhibit relatively low current ON/OFF ratios, which limits their practical applications in memory devices. In this work, memristive devices with a large memory margin were fabricated utilizing a CH<SUB>3</SUB>NH<SUB>3</SUB>PbBr<SUB>3</SUB> (MAPbBr<SUB>3</SUB>) perovskite layer. The nanocrystalline MAPbBr<SUB>3</SUB> perovskite thin films were successfully formed at low temperature by using a chlorobenzene dripping method. The MAPbBr<SUB>3</SUB> perovskite layer was employed as a resistive switching layer in memristive devices with a structure of indium-tin-oxide/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)/MAPbBr<SUB>3</SUB>/Al. The maximum ON/OFF ratio of the memristive devices based on the MAPbBr<SUB>3</SUB> perovskite was as large as 3.6x10<SUP>6</SUP>. The memristive devices showed high device-to-device reproducibility with set-voltage distributions between −0.5 and −0.8 V, as well as good endurances of at least 120 cycles and retention times longer than 1x10<SUP>4</SUP> s. The carrier transport mechanisms of the memristive devices were described on the basis of the I-V curves, and their operating mechanisms were explained via the formation and rupture of filaments in the MAPbBr<SUB>3</SUB> perovskite.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Memristive devices were fabricated with nanocrystalline MAPbBR3 perovskite layer. </LI> <LI> Maximum ON/OFF ratio of the devices was as large as 3.6x106. </LI> <LI> The devices showed the good endurance numbers above 120 and retention times longer than 1x104 s. </LI> <LI> Operating mechanisms of the devices were studied via the formation and rupture of filaments in the MAPbBr3 perovskite. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

      • A study on the mechanism and countermeasures of medical devices incidents

        Purpose: This study will focus on the human, medical devices and human-computer interactions to analyze the medical devices incidents. Based on the analysis result, this study will suggest the mechanism of medical devices incidents and the countermeasure methods. Approach: In this study, we summarize the mechanism of medical devices incidents through the analysis and research on the cases of medical devices incidents. Mechanism of medical devices incidents will consider the error-process, error-factors and the operating environments. The consideration point is the human, medical devices and human-computer interactions. Based on the explored mechanism of medical incidents, this study will establish the countermeasures through eliminating the error-factors of medical devices incidents. Methods to establish the countermeasures will consider the characteristics of human, features of operating environment and medical devices. In order to ensure the countermeasure``s effect, the countermeasure ideal is by improving the features of operating environment and operating devices to cater human``s characteristics. Findings: Through this study we will present following two: (l) Propose the general mechanism which can summarize the incidents of medical devices, (2) Propose the countermeasures which based on the mechanism and can solve the practical problems. Value of paper: Three aspects of human, devices and the interaction caused the medical devices incidents. In the past research on the medical devices, one or two aspects are considered, but a few of research combine the three aspects. To consider the three aspects and propose the useful mechanism and countermeasure method is one of the value of this paper. Using the practical case to propose scientific result and to solve the practical medical problems is also the value of this paper.

      • EXPLORING THE AESTHETIC FACTOR ON WEARABLE FITNESS TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTANCE MODEL

        Driven by the ability to interconnect with key modern trends of healthcare and fitness, wearable devices are attracting significant level of interest from sports industry marketers. Wearable devices are the new electronic technology equipped with sensors, internet connections, processors, and operating systems and used external to the body, either attached as an accessory or embedded in clothes (Li, Wu, Gao, & Shi, 2016; Raskovic, Martin, & Jovanov, 2004; Yang, Yu, Zo, & Choi, 2016). As fully functional, self-contained electronics, wearable devices allow users to access information measured anytime and anywhere. According to ABI Research (2016), the global wearable device shipments will increase from 202 million in 2016 to more than 501 million by 2021. Specifically, market reports show that wearable fitness trackers have dominated the consumer market for wearable devices by accounting 85% of the wearable technology market in 2016 (International Data Corporation, 2016). A wrist-worn type of wearable fitness devices is the most popular but chest worn type, apparel, and other types (e.g., clip-on, ear-worn, etc.) of wearable devices are also used for fitness tracking. Wearable fitness devices analyze accumulated data of the users’ physical activity as well as provide the health and fitness status in real time. Studies on behavior change through wearable technology showed that feedback based on accurate and insightful analysis could lead long-term use of wearable devices (Fritz, Huang, Murphy, & Zimmermann, 2014; Patel, Asch, & Volpp, 2015). In this regards, smart applications linked to wearable fitness devices are widely used. As electronics IT products and services are recognized as an instance of fashion objects, many studies on the user acceptance of the products and services have focused on the importance of product design and visual attractiveness (Cyr, Head, & Ivanov, 2006; Tzou & Lu, 2007). However, little research has been done on user acceptance and behaviors of wearable fitness devices and smart applications linked to the devices focusing on the effect of the design aesthetics. Thus, the current study seeks to better understand the relationship between design aesthetics and the extended technology acceptance model (TAM) including perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived enjoyment. In addition, this study seeks to explore the synergistic effect of visual attractiveness of the smart applications linked to them on adoption process of wearable fitness devices and the related services. The definition of fashion is “a way of behaving that is temporarily adopted by a discernible proportion of members of a social group because that chosen behavior is perceived to be socially appropriate for the time and situation (Tzou & Lu, 2009, p. 312- 313).” A fashion object has some unique characteristics including styling, aesthetics, ego gratification, etc. and is perceived to be newer, more novel, more aesthetic or even more attractive than other choices (Tzou & Lu, 2009, p. 313). As iPhone and iWatch have changed the market trends of IT products and services, it is significant that consumer electronics products with visually attractive design are more likely dominate the market and consumers’ willingness to pay is high. As a fashion technology, the most popular type of wearable fitness devices is a bracelet that users can wear on their wrist. Users wear fitness devices 24/7 to track their physical activity to gain information for healthcare and fitness practice. Specifically, wearable fitness devices track physical activity, such as workout time and intensity, steps taken, calories burned, and even sleep patterns. By quantifying users’ behaviors, the devices can educate and motivate individuals to improve their health and fitness practices (Patel et al., 2015). Considering IT products as fashion technology, many studies on user acceptance of new technology show the importance of product design and attractiveness. Researchers found that the sensory experience of information technology as well as physical electronics products determined users’ perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived enjoyment (Childers et al., 2001; Cyr et al., 2006; van der Hdijden, 2003). However, few studies have tested the effect of aesthetics factor on the wearable fitness device adoption process. Thus, this study defines design aesthetics as an aesthetic product design expressed through shapes, colors, and materials and user interfaces of wearable fitness devices (Yang et al., 2016) and examines the effect of design aesthetics on ergonomic conceptions such as perceived usefulness and ease of use and an emotional factor, perceived enjoyment. In addition, this study focuses on the synergistic effect of design aesthetics of a smart application linked to a wearable fitness device which can motivate use of the device by providing the users more insightful information. The devices collect users’ physical activity data 24/7 and transfer the data to a smart application linked to them, either through wireless Bluetooth syncing or plugging the device into users’ smartphone or PC. Then, the application provides useful feedback by informing the users their goals, progress, and the results of activity. Visual attractiveness of a wearable device defined by Yang et al. (2016) included an aesthetic product design expressed through the wearable device as well as through mobile applications linked to the device. However, the function and presentation of a wearable device itself and a smart application linked to the device are different. Simply, the wearable device is a hardware and the smart application is a software. To fully understand the role of a wearable fitness device which is physically presented on users’ body and a smart application linked to the device which requires more information visualization, this study examines the effects of design aesthetics of a wearable fitness device and the smart application linked to the device separately on the model of wearable fitness device and service acceptance. Introduced by Davis (1989), the TAM provides a framework for understanding the likelihood that individuals will adopt a new technology. The TAM postulates that two key factors predict a technological acceptance: perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Defined as “the degree to which a person believes that using a particular system would enhance his or her performance (Davis, 1989, p. 320)”, perceived usefulness describes the value users believe they could find in a wearable fitness device. Meanwhile, perceived ease of use is “the degree to which a person believes that using a particular system would be free of effort (Davis, 1989, p. 320).” According to the model, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use combined to develop behavioral intentions which in turn lead to the adoption of a technology (Davis, Warshaw, & Bagozzi, 1992, p. 660). Regarding IT products and services adoption, researchers consistently found the positive relationship between perceived usefulness and behavioral intention to adopt a new form of technology. Zaremohzzabieh et al. (2015) found a positive relationship between perceived usefulness and behavioral intention to adopt a new form of information communication technology. Lunney, Cunningham, and Eastin (2016) examined factors affecting the adoption of wearable fitness trackers found that perceived usefulness was the key factor that influenced attitude and use. Furthermore, perceived ease of use was a direct determinant of usage behavior. Researchers have agreed that perceived ease of use also a key determinant of intention to use technology (Bhattacheijee & Hikmet, 2008; Lunney et al., 2016; Tzou & Lu, 2009; van der Heijden, 2003). In addition to the original TAM model, researchers have enhanced the model by including a hedonic component of enjoyment in the adoption of IT products and services (Childers, Carr, & Carson, 2001; Cyr et al., 2006; Dabholkar & Bagozzi, 2002). Davis et al. (1992) included perceived enjoyment in TAM defining it as “the extent to which the activity of using the computer is perceived to be enjoyable in its own right, apart from any performance consequences that may be anticipated (p.1113).” Researchers found the positive relationship between perceived enjoyment and use of technology (Cyr et al., 2006; Teo, Lim, & Lai, 1999; van der Heijden, 2003).This study investigates the antecedents, moderator and consequences of wearable fitness device and service acceptance considering them as fashion technology. With empirical analysis, the results will provide interesting insights and suggestions. First, findings will show the effect of design aesthetics on ergonomic conceptions (i.e., perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use) and an emotional factor (i.e., perceived enjoyment). This indicates that IT products are not purely results of engineering advances but be recognized as an instance of fashion objects (Tzou & Lu, 2009). Second, this study focuses on the synergistic effect of design aesthetics of smart application linked to a wearable fitness device which can motivate use of the device by providing the users more insightful information. Findings in the analysis of the effect of design aesthetics of the application and its adoption will provide deeper understanding on users’ wearable fitness device adoption by indicating overall service jointly influences users’ behavior. This study will provide useful insights and evidences to sports marketing managers how consumers make choices, how manufacturers should design services as well as hardware parts in the future.

        국내 인ㆍ허가 온열의료기기 기술 현황 조사 및 분석

        Objectives : This study aimed to determine the status of thermal stimulation devices approved in Korea for medical applications over the past 10 years, and based on this, to obtain insight for future thermal treatment in Korean medical institutions. Methods : We searched the item classification list entitled Regulations on Medical Device Items and Rating by Item” from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Notice No. 2021-24, 2021 (Enforced March 19, 2021; www.mfds.go.kr) for individually licensed heaters using the terms heat and heating. Results : We identified 17 items of thermal stimulation product group, of which 1,308 devices were licensed by February 4, 2022, and 53.2% of them (n=696) were devices with valid permits for distribution in Korea. Among the licensed devices, heating pad systems under/overlay (electric, home use) were approved the most, but combinational stimulator (for medical use, home use; Grade 2) accounted for the highest percentage among the current valid permission. Moxibustion apparatuses were licensed separately for electrical use and non-electrical use, and occupied a low percentage of the total devices. We analyzed 307 devices that were accompanied by technical documents and found that the heat sources were wires in 145 (47.2%), infrared rays in 44 (14.3%) and ultrasonic waves in 42 (13.7%) devices. Most (83.1%) devices were used for pain relief, while other applications included beauty, cancer treatment, maintenance of infant body temperature, and healing fractures. Conclusions : Thermal stimulation devices accounted for about 0.9% of all medical devices, and among them, combinational stimulators and heating pad systems under/overlay had the most valid permits. Thermal stimulation devices using heating wires and infrared rays were the most prevalent, and most were used to relieve pain. In order to develop a range of thermal stimulation devices that can be utilized in Korean medical institutions, it is imperative that they have potential applications beyond pain management, addressing various medical purposes. To achieve this, foundational research is necessary to effectively apply diverse heat sources based on medical objectives.

        스마트기기에 대한 어머니의 인식 및 양육스트레스가 영유아의 스마트기기 과몰입에 미치는 영향: 함께 사용여부의 매개효과 검증

        As smart devices become more widespread, young children can easily access these devices and become proficient users. The purpose of this study is to examine the contributions of mothers’ perceptions toward smart devices and parenting stress regarding their children’s overindulgence in smart devices. Furthermore, this study explored the mediating role of parents’ co-use of smart devices among these relationships. Our data were collected from 262 Korean mothers who had a child aged less than 36 months old who have ever used smart devices. Results from a structural equation modeling analysis indicated that maternal parenting stress was directly related to children’s overindulgence. Moreover, mothers’ perceptions toward smart devices were indirectly related to children’s overindulgence through co-use. In other words, mothers who have positive perceptions of smart devices are more likely to let their child use smart devices alone, which in turn is associated with children’s overindulgence in smart devices. These findings suggest the importance of parental education about the consequences of smart devices use for young children and the roles of parents when their child uses such a devices. 본 연구는 36개월 미만의 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 스마트기기에 대한 인식, 양육스트레스, 스마트기기 함께 사용여부 및 영유아의 스마트기기 과몰입 간의 구조적 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 구체적으로 어머니의 스마트기기에 대한 인식 및 양육스트레스가 영유아의 스마트기기 과몰입에 미치는 직접적 영향과 스마트기기 함께 사용여부를 통해 미치는 간접적 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 및 대전 지역에 위치한 어린이집 18곳에 다니고 있는 36개월 미만의 자녀를 둔 262명의 어머니를 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 주요 결과를 살펴보면, 어머니의 양육스트레스가 영유아의 스마트기기 과몰입에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 스마트기기 사용에 대한 어머니의 인식은 스마트기기 함께 사용여부를 매개로 영유아의 스마트기기 과몰입에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 즉 스마트기기 사용이 영유아의 발달에 긍정적일 것이라고 인식하는 어머니일수록 스마트기기를 자녀 혼자 사용하게 하며, 이는 영유아의 스마트기기 과몰입으로 이어졌다. 이러한 연구 결과는 스마트기기 사용이 저 연령화 되고 있는 오늘날, 영유아의 스마트기기 과몰입 예방을 위한 부모의 역할을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

        중장년층의 업무수행용 스마트 기기 수용 및 활용에 대한 영향요인 분석

        This study aims to analyze the factors of middle-age workers’ usage of smart devices for business purpose and to propose the ways of increasing its adoption. The participants of the study were 95 middle-age insurance agents, and a survey was conducted toasure the effects of self-efficacy, conditions for using smart devices, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, normative influence, and the current use of smart devices on the usages of smart devises for business purpose. The results of the survey indicates that self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and the current use of smart device would explain about 60% of the intention of using smart devices for business purpose. Also, it explained that the perceived usefulness is the most influencing factor on the usage of smart devices of middle-age insurance agents. The interviews with six insurance agents who are proficient in using smart devices demonstrated that the reasons for using smart devices include its portability, the ease of responding to customers’ unexpected inquiries, the differentiating function of smart device from previous sales tools. Interestingly, the adoption of smart devices of middle-age insurance agents was influenced by their customers’ preference of using smart devices. The preference is related to the customers’ ages. Finally, providing education about the usage of smart devices for the middle-age workers, developing a performance support system via smart devices, and selecting advanced devices were suggested to increase the usage of smart devices for business purpose. 본 연구의 목적은 중장년층 보험설계사들의 업무 수행을 위한 스마트 기기 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고, 스마트 기기 활성화를 위한 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 중장년층 보험설계사 94명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 스마트 기기 활용에 대한 자기 효능감, 스마트 기기를 사용하는데 필요한 제반사항, 기술수용 모델에 따른 지각된 사용 용이성과 유용성, 준거집단 순응성이 스마트 기기 사용의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 스마트 기기 활용에 대한 자기 효능감, 지각된 사용 용이성과 유용성, 현재 스마트 기기의 사용 빈도가 스마트 기기 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이들의 설명력은 약 60%였다. 이 중에서도 지각된 유용성이 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 스마트 기기를 잘 활용하고 있는 보험설계사 6명을 심층 면담한 결과, 스마트 기기를 활용하는 이유는 휴대의 편리성, 정보 검색 및 제공의 즉각성, 기존 매체와의 차별화된 속성 등이었으며, 이는 스마트 기기에 대한 지각된 유용성과 사용 용이성과도 연계된다. 또한 보험설계사들의 스마트 기기 활용 정도는 이들이 만나는 고객들의 스마트 기기에 대한 선호도에 따라 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 고객의 연령과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 마지막으로, 중장년층 업무용 스마트 기기 활성화를 위해서는 스마트 기기의 유용성과 사용 용이성을 인식시키기 위한 사용자 대상 교육 실시, 스마트 기기용 수행지원 시스템 개발, 최신 기기의 선택과 도입 등이 제안되었다.

        미용업종사자의 미용기기 사용에 대한 분쟁해결과 정책적 과제

        현대사회는 건강과 아름다움에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 미용서비스 산업의 규모가 확대되고 있다. 그러나 우리나라는 미용산업 발전에도 불구하고 현장의 낡은 규제에 의하여 외국에서 합법적으로 행하는 미용업무가 불법행위로 처벌을 받고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 문제해결을 위하여 본 논문은 미용종사자가 미용기기를 합법적으로 사용하기 위한 미용법 개정을 위하여 입법적 근거를 제시하고자 한다. 본 논문은 우리나라 미용업과 관련된 법규를 검토하고 미국, 영국, 일본의 미용기기사용에 대한 법규를 살펴보았다. 외국에서는 미용기기사용에 대하여 안전 규격기준을 마련하고 사용자격을 갖춘 자는 미용기기를 사용할 수 있다. 그러나 우리나라는 미용기기에 대한 규정과 관리에 대한 아무런 규정이 없기 때문에 미용기기 사용을 관리감독하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 그리고 본 논문은 지난 국회에서 발의된 미용법 개선안과 정부부처의 미용법 개선과제들을 살펴보았다. 과거 수차례 미용법에 대한 개선안과 제정이 필요하다고 제안되었지만 시행되지 않았다. 미용기기에 대한 개선방안이 시행되지 못한 것은 ‘국민건강에 위해를 가할 수 있다’는 의료계 반발 때문이다. 미용기기가 의료기기로 편입되어 불법적인 사용을 양상하고 있고 미용기기의 안전한 사용과 위생적인 관리를 위한 규제를 하지 못하는 결과를 초래하고 있다. 미용산업의 선진화·세계화를 위하여 미용기기를 의료기기로 규정되어 있는 우리나라 현행법을 국제적인 환경에 동화할 수 있도록 개선되어야 한다. 의료기기로 분류되어 있는 미용기기를 피부미용실 등에서 현장 수요가 높고 인체에 대한 위해도가 낮은 품목을 우선적으로 분류하여 피부미용 품목으로 정하여 피부미용서비스의 질적 개선을 모색해야 할 필요가 있다. 그러기 위해서는 미용기기의 법률을 제정·개선하기 위한 정부의 적극적인 노력과 유사직업단체의 협조가 필요하다. 유사직업단체는 직역이기주의를 버리고 미용기기의 안전한 사용을 위하여 미용기기의 범위·규격·관리를 규정하는데 협력하여야 할 것이다. 이러한 협조가 되지 않을 시에는 중재기구를 설립하여 문제를 해결할 필요가 있다. In contemporary society interest in and consumption of beauty treatment are increasing, raising interest in health and beauty. However, beauty-related laws are becoming factors of hindrance of beauty development. Currently the Public Health Control Act plays a basic role in the beauty art business in Korea, However the contents are in discord with international laws and its definition is not clear. Therefore it is causing conflicts of different occupations and job associations which are similar to art business. Especially, because neither definitions nor policies on beauty care devices exist in the Public Health Control Act, beauty care devices using in foreign countries cannot be used in Korea due to classification as medical devices. Under this circumstance, therefore, beauty care device uses by beauty artists violate the law. The government has tried to solve these irrational regulations. Recently, the Small and Medium Business Administration announced ‘the improvement plan of small business and young founders site regulation for public economy recovery’ in a ministerial meeting on December 28, 2016. Regulations on policy preparation for skincare devices were inclusive in this announcement. It is the question whether the regulations will be executed or not. Even though beauty industrial competitiveness was presented in the 18th Presidential Council on National Competitiveness in 2009, it was not practiced. The proposal bills for beauty law improvement have been put forth several times since 2000 including an improvement plan for regulating beauty care devices. However, so far there have been no improvements. The damage on the regulation classifying beauty devices as medical devices is not only restricted to skincare. This develops beauty devices and the beauty industry which imports and exports beauty devices. When beauty devices are exported, complicated procedures are unavoidable and when beauty devices are imported, irrational problems like reregistration procedures and costs occur. The reason why an improvement plan has not gone into practice is the resistance of the dermatologists’ association. Dermatologists tend to stand positively against harming public health by saying that beauty devices used by beauty artists cause people to suffer side effects. In contrast, anyone who has a licence to use beauty devices is able to use them in foreign countries. It is not only infringement of one’s right as a beauty artist but also people’s right to receive beauty care services. With this reason, Korean’s current law under which beauty devices are ruled as medical devices should be revised with accordance to domestic surroundings. Therefore in order to advance and globalize the beauty industry, the support and cooperation of the Korean government and relevant associations is needed to legislate and revise the beauty devices laws. The relevant associations abandon regional self-centeredness and cooperate to define ranges, size and management of beauty devices for safe use. If no collaboration exists, an arbitration agency should be established to solve the problem.

      • 비영리단체의 보조기구 관련 사업 전망 분석에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 보조기구 산업에 관심을 갖고 있는 비영리단체들을 중심으로 보조기구에 대한 인식 수준과 보조기구 관련 산업 전망을 살펴봄으로써 현재 제기되고 있는 보조기구 관련 사업의 과제와 가능성을 실증적으로 분석해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 비영리단체를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 각각의 문항을 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 비영리단체들의 일반적 특성으로는 정부 의존도가 높고, 주로 복지 및 고용 분야의 단체들이 보조기구 관련 사업에 대한 관심이 높았으며, 사회적 기업으로의 전환 아이템으로써 보조기구에 대한 관심이 높게 나타나고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 보조기구 관련 사업적 측면에서는 조사 대상 단체들은 보조기구에 대한 적극적 이해가 부족한 상태이며, 보조기구에 대한 충분한 검토 없이 직관적으로 보조기구 사업에 참여하고자 하는 경향이 있었다. 반면 현재 비영리단체의 특성을 기반으로 한 기회요인에 대한 이해도가 높게 분석되었다. 아울러 보조기구 관련 사업 수행의 가장 우선적 과제로 정부 정책 및 제도 등을 통한 실중적 지원이 핵심적인 것으로 요구되고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. The purpose of the study was to analyze the assignment and possibility of assistive devices related business proposed currently positively by examining cognitive level of non-profit institutions with interest in the assistive devices industry on assistive devices and the prospect of assistive devices related industry. To realize the purpose, the study carried out a survey of non-profit institutions and analyzed each question. The results of the study were as follows. First, generally non-profit institutions had high dependence on the government and welfare and employment related institutions took a lot of interests in assistive devices related business. Also, the study analyzed that they had a lot of interests in assistive devices as a conversion item to a social company. Second, in the side of assistive devices related business, the surveyed institutions were not enough to have a positive understanding about assistive devices and had a tendency to participate in the assistive devices business intuitively without enough examination about assistive devices. On the contrary, the study analyzed that they had a high understanding about opportunity focused on non-profit institution's characteristics. Also, the study analyzed that it was important to have a positive support through policies and systems of the government as the most preferential assignment in doing assistive devices related business.

        일부지역의 구강위생용품 사용실태에 관한 조사연구

        Objectivs: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the use of oral hygiene devices and to improve oral health care continuously by encouraging the use of oral hygiene devices. Methods: The survey was carried out by questionnaire research targeting 395 respondents in metropolitan area in June-August 2009. The collected data is analyzed by statistics program SPSS version 12.0. 1. General characteristics of subjects are analyzed by percentage and descriptive statistics. 2. Recognition about how to use oral hygiene devices, usage of oral hygiene devices, recognition of dental brush usage, Effect after using oral hygiene devices are analyzed by mean difference test(t, F verification). 3. Effect after using oral hygiene devices, relation of oral hygiene devices usage with subjective oral health status, oral hygiene devices usage and participation in education are analyzed by Correlation, Regression analysis. Results: 1. Investigation shows that most oral health devices are rarely used except toothbrush(4.57) in case of the use of oral hygiene devices. 2. In the case of awareness of oral hygiene devices usage, almost everyone knows how to use dental brushes(MEAN 4.16) the most. And the next ones are like these-tooth picks(MEAN 3.38), dental floss(MEAN 3.28), mouth rinse(MEAN 3.24). And they don`t know how to use the other oral hygiene devices usage. 3. respondents who use dental floss(β=.238, p<.001), interdental brush(β=.242, p<.001) and water pik(β =.180, p<.05) recognize that the result and effect after using them are more positive than the others in different case. 4. Respondents who use toothbrush(β=.119), dental floss(β=.120) and interdental brush(β=.136). frequently evaluate their subjective oral health status positively in case of frequency of using oral hygiene devices and subjective oral health status(p<.05). 5. Respondents who use toothbrush and interdental brush properly and frequently, who are older than the others show more concern about participating in education of "How to use oral hygiene devices" than the others(p<.05). Conclusions: In conclusion, to prevent oral disease, the opportunity of participating in education about correct knowledge and proper way should be expanded. And we should contribute to oral health improvement through developing, executing and informing systematic, popular oral health education with active one.
