Organic pollutants in dyed wastewater are hazardous to human health and the environment. The photocatalyticdegradation of pollutants is considered a green treatment with significant social and environmental benefits. Inthis study, hollow BiOCl/TiO2 nanotubes with open pores at both ends, prepared by hydrothermal synthesis, weremodified using phosphoric acid to promote photoelectron transfer. The hollow nanotubes offer an increased numberof electroactive sites, which enhances the photoelectric transfer efficiency and reduces the electron-hole recombinationrate. The modification by H3PO4 significantly optimized the photocatalytic activity of the nanotubes. The results showthat the H3PO4 modified hollow BiOCl/TiO2 (molar ratio of BiOCl to TiO2 is 0.8) nanotubes exhibited the most efficientphotocatalytic performance toward rhodamine B (RhB) with a photodegradation efficiency of up to 98.8% undervisible-light illumination. These nanotubes have broad application prospects for the effective removal of organic pollutantsfrom wastewater and can potentially inform future research on photocatalysts.

In this work, electrochemical hydrogen permeation tests were carried out to obtain the steady-statehydrogen permeation current of X70 pipeline steel in acid environment and alkaline electrolyte withapplied cathodic overpotentials simulating the service conditions of pipelines. It is shown that Lamicroalloyingcan efficiently reduce the steady-state hydrogen permeation current density while maintainingthe same mechanical performance. The experimental permeation data were fitted with Iyer-Pickering-Zamanzadeh (IPZ) and surface effect model to analyze the inhibitive mechanism on hydrogenpermeation, and the results depicted that La element on the material surface greatly facilitates the desorptionprocess of hydrogen atoms. In addition, the calculated hydrogen diffusion coefficient was foundsmaller after La microalloyed, which can be ascribed to the larger hydrogen trap density. It is suggestedthat La-microalloying can mitigate hydrogen damage of X70 pipeline steel in both acidic environment orunder cathodic protection.

Lagerstroemia indica is a summer ornamental fl owering tree, belonging to the Lythraceae family. Its fl ower color is a key ornamental characteristic. Recent research indicates that WRKY and bZIP transcription factors play important role in f l ower color formation. Based on the transcriptome database of L. indica , this study identifi ed 85 LibZIPs and 61 LiWRKYs from the L. indica transcriptome database and analyzed their expression profi les using qRT-PCR. Phylogenetic analysis divided LibZIPs into 11 subfamilies and LiWRKYs into six subfamilies. Nine LibZIPs and four LiWRKYs were found to have higher expression in colored samples compared to the white sample. LibZIP31 , LibZIP65 , LibZIP34 , LiWRKY16 , LiWRKY25 , LiWRKY40 , and LiWRKY67 may play important roles in fl ower color formation in L. indica . These results provide valuable information for further functional analysis of the bZIP and WRKY genes families in L. indica and help clarify their roles in fl ower color formation.
