Yuan-Huan Liu,Fang-Li Liu,Bo Long,Xiong-Li Zhou,Xue Zhang,Yue Zhang,Wen-Li Wang,Shi-Kang Shen 한국원예학회 2019 원예과학기술지 Vol.37 No.4
The aim of this study was to determine the photosynthetic adaptability of Rhododendron species toalpine environments. The chlorophyll fluorescence parameters and rapid light response curves ofeight Rhododendron species were determined under field conditions across elevation gradients (atelevations of 2,950, 3,560, 3,660, 3,770, and 4,030 m) in the Jiaozi Mountain National NaturalReserve, Yunnan Province, southwestern China. The effect of different elevations, species, and theirinteractions significantly affected most of the chlorophyll fluorescence and rapid light response curveparameters. The variable to maximum fluorescence ratio (Fv/Fm) ranged from 0.78 to 0.81 at the fiveelevation gradients. This result indicated that the studied species were well grown and adapted to thecurrent environment. The correlation analysis indicated that the elevation was positively significantlycorrelated with the photochemical efficiency of photosystem II, electron transport rate, maximumelectron transport rate, light saturation coefficient (Ek), and chlorophyll relative content (SPAD: leafchlorophyll content index) and was negatively significantly correlated with photochemicalquenching, nonphotochemical quenching, and linear initial slope values. Although no significantrelationship was observed between the elevations and Fv/Fm, the apparent difference in Fv/Fm both atelevation gradients and elevation × species levels indicated that the Rhododendron speciesdemonstrated species-specific adaptation to the environment at different elevations. Our resultsprovided evidence that Rhododendron species exhibit variations in photosynthetic activities in analpine environment at different elevations. These differences may improve the understanding of thephysiological adaptation variations of Rhododendron species across elevation gradients in associationwith climate change in the mountains of southwestern China.

In this paper, CoCrFeNiMo0.2particles reinforced titanium matrix composites were prepared by hot pressing sintering in thevacuum, and the volume fraction of CoCrFeNiMo0.2particles was 7%. The microstructure of the composites was analyzed byX-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and electron probe, and the micro-mechanical properties of the compositeswere studied by nano indentation technology. Based on the combination of experimental research and numerical simulation, the deformation process and damage behavior of the composites were studied. The tensile strength of the compositeswas 689 MPa, and the strain at break was 12.2%. The damage behavior and stress–strain curve of the composites in thein-situ tensile process were compared with the simulation process to verify the accuracy of the modeling results. Throughthe analysis of the simulation results, it is found that the particles bear a larger load than the matrix during the deformationprocess. When the composites reach the peak stress, the average stress on the particles is about 580 MPa, the average stresson the interface is about 620 MPa, and the average stress on the matrix is about 446 MPa.

Purpose: To research the association between pre-treatment elevated platelet count and clinicopathologic characteristics in breast cancer (BC), as well as explore the relationship between pre-treatment elevated platelet count and HER2 status and prognosis of BC patients. Materials and Methods: A retrospective cohort of BC patients who were newly diagnosed or treated by surgery only and had pathological detection results and platelet values in the Department of Oncology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning Medical College were enrolled from 1/1/2008 until 31/12/2009, and followed up until 31/12/2014. Age, thrombocyte parameters before chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, immunohistochemical (IHM) indexes, and regional lymph node (LN) involvement and progression-free survival (PFS) were recorded. Results: A total of 447 eligible subjects were included in this research. As we analyzed, for HER2, positive and negative, the incidence rates of elevated platelet count were 25.8% and 14.7% (P<0.05). In the Cox proportional hazards model both variables were independent risk factors for BC (for HER2, OR, 0.592, 95% confidence interval, CI, 0.355 to 0.985, P=0.044;f or PLT, OR, 0.998, 95% CI, 0.996 to 1.000, P=0.042). For ER, PR, Ki67 and LN involvement, the differences were not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusions: In this research, pre-treatment elevated level of platelet count demostrated a significantrelationship with HER2 amplification/overexpression, and both variables significantly influenced the prognosis of BC. However, elevated platelet count did not exhibit any association with ER, PR, Ki67 and LN involvement.

Ruimeng Shi,Hao Wu,Huan Liu,Bixia Wang,Yuan She,Chong Zou,Jiangfeng Zheng,Qi Gao 한국화학공학회 2022 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.39 No.5
The physical phase analysis and thermodynamic calculations of blast furnace dust were performed using Xraydiffraction fluorescence spectrometer, X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope, energy spectrometer, andFactsage software. The leaching pattern and mechanism of zinc elements were studied by a roasting-leaching method. The results showed that the conversion of zinc ferrite to zinc sulfate could be realized when the roasting temperaturerange was 500-730 oC, which was convenient for zinc leaching. A better roasting condition could be obtained when theroasting temperature was 600 oC, roasting time was 60 min, and molar ratio of ferric sulfate was 1.2 : 1. Under theseconditions, the zinc and iron leaching rates were 84.57% and 24.51%, respectively, at a sulfuric acid concentration of110 gL1, liquid-solid ratio of 10 : 1 mLg1, leaching time of 60min, stirring speed of 400 rpm, and leaching temperatureof 80 oC. The leaching process of zinc from blast furnace dust sulfate roasting products agreed with the unreacted coremodel, and internal diffusion was the restrictive step. The kinetic equation of the leaching process was 12R/3(1R)2/3=0.47t, the apparent activation energy of the leaching reaction was 17.4 kJmol1, and the reaction order was 1.908.

Mg alloys containing long period stacking ordered (LPSO) structures possess excellent mechanical properties and corrosionresistance, exhibiting great application potential in biodegradable implants. The corrosion process of different LPSOphases in the Mg alloys need to be furtherly clarified in different solution environments. In this paper, we mainly reviewedthe influencing factors on the corrosion behavior of LPSO-containing Mg alloys, including the alloying elements, processingtechnologies, and the types, volume fractions and distributions of LPSO phases. Recent researches are well summarized withan emphasis on their corrosion mechanism. Special attention is given to the key issues for LPSO-containing Mg alloys asbiomedical implants, with their biodegradation behavior comprehensively discussed. The motivation is to provide theoreticalsupport for the possible application of LPSO-containing Mg alloys in the biomedical field.

Background: Many stroke patients receive traditional medical care in Korea and China. Stroke patients comprise the largest proportion of inpatients in traditional Korean medicine and traditional Chinese medicine hospitals. The purpose of this study is to identify the types and effects of Chinese medicine widely used in China and Korea, and to apply them to future studies of stroke. Methods: Nine Korean and Chinese databases will be surveyed for clinical studies of herbal medicines for stroke, published between the inception of the database and August 2017. Clinical studies of decoctions or modified decoctions will be included without restriction on study type. The frequencies and patterns of formulas or single herb usage and the any type of herbal medicine utilization will be analyzed. Dissemination: The results of the systematic review will be published in a peer-reviewed journal and disseminated electronically and in print. Updates of the review will be conducted to inform and guide healthcare practices.
