Experimental Measurement and Monte Carlo Simulation the Correction Factor for the Medium-Energy X-ray Free-air Ionization Chamber

Yu Jili,Wu Jinjie,Liao Zhenyu,Zhou Zhenjie 한국물리학회 2018 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.73 No.10

A key comparison has been made between the air-kerma standards of the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), China, and other Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) members in the medium-energy X-ray. This paper reviews the primary standard Free-air ionization chamber correc- tion factor experimental method and Monte Carlo simulation method in the NIM. The experimental method and the Monte Carlo simulation method are adopted to obtain the correction factor for the medium-energy X-ray primary standard free-air ionization chamber at 100 kV, 135 kV, 180 kV, 250 kV four CCRI reference qualities. The correction factor has already been submitted to the APMP as key comparison data and the results are in good agreement with those obtained in pre- vious studies. This study shows that the experimental method and the EGSnrc simulation method are usually used in the measurement of the correction factor. In particular, the application of the simulation methods is more common.

How Is Degenerative Lumbar Scoliosis Associated with Spinopelvic and Lower-Extremity Alignments in the Elderly

        Wang Jili,Ushirozako Hiroki,Yamato Yu,Ide Koichiro,Hasegawa Tomohiko,Yoshida Go,Banno Tomohiro,Oe Shin,Arima Hideyuki,Mihara Yuki,Watanabe Yuh,Nakai Keiichi,Kurosu Kenta,Hoshino Hironobu,Matsuyama Yuk 대한척추외과학회 2023 Asian Spine Journal Vol.17 No.2

Study Design: A retrospective cohort study.Purpose: Our aim is to investigate the relationship between degenerative lumbar scoliosis (DLS), and whole-body alignment, including spinopelvic and lower extremity alignments. Overview of Literature: DLS is a deformity commonly associated with aging. However, the correlation between whole-body alignment and DLS remains controversial. Methods: Adult volunteers aged over 50 years were included in the study after participating in the screening program. Characteristic data and standing radiographic parameters were assessed. A propensity score model was established with adjustments for age and sex after a preliminary analysis, and cases were divided into DLS (Cobb angle >10°) and non-DLS (Cobb angle ≤10°) groups. Results: There were significant differences in age, sex, C2 sagittal vertical axis (C2-SVA), C7-SVA, T1 pelvic angle (TPA), lumbar lordosis (LL), pelvic incidence (PI), pelvic tilt (PT), PI minus LL (PI–LL), knee angle, ankle angle, pelvic shift, C7-center sacral vertical line, L4 tilt, femur-tibia angle, and hip-knee-ankle angle (all p <0.05) using a preliminary analysis of 261 cases (75 DLS and 186 non-DLS). A one-to-one propensity score-matched analysis was used after 70 pairs of cases were selected. There were no significant differences in the characteristic data for lower extremity parameters. There were still significantly higher values of C2-SVA, TPA, PI, PT, and PI–LL in DLS group than in non-DLS group (all p <0.05).Conclusions: This study showed an important relationship between DLS and sagittal spinal deformity. However, DLS was not associated with the sagittal and coronal lower extremity alignments.

Differences in the methanogen community between the nearshore and offshore sediments of the South Yellow Sea

        Chen Ye,Zhen Yu,Wan Jili,Yin Xia,Li Siqi,Liu Jiayin,Zhang Guodong,Mi Tiezhu 한국미생물학회 2022 The journal of microbiology Vol.60 No.8

The differences in methanogen abundance and community composition were investigated between nearshore and offshore sediments in the South Yellow Sea (SYS). Shannon, Simpson, and Chao1 indices revealed a higher diversity of methanogens in the nearshore sediments than in the offshore sediments. The Mann–Whitney U test demonstrated that the relative abundance of Methanococcoides was significantly higher in the offshore sediments, while the relative abundances of Methanogenium, Methanosarcina, Methanosaeta, Methanolinea, and Methanomassiliicoccus were significantly higher in the nearshore sediments (P < 0.05). The abundance of the mcrA gene in the nearshore sediments was significantly higher than that in the offshore sediments. Furthermore, a similar vertical distribution of the methanogen and sulfatereducing bacteria (SRB) abundances was observed in the SYS sediments, implying there is potential cooperation between these two functional microbes in this environment. Finally, total organic carbon (TOC) was significantly correlated with methanogen community composition.

      • Resonance analysis of cantilever porous graphene platelet reinforced pipe under external load

        Qinghua Huang,Xinping Yu,Jun Lv,Jilie Zhou,Marischa Ray Elvenia 국제구조공학회 2022 Steel and Composite Structures, An International J Vol.45 No.3

Nowadays, there is a high demand for great structural implementation and multifunctionality with excellent mechanical properties. The porous structures reinforced by graphene platelets (GPLs) having valuable properties, such as heat resistance, lightweight, and excellent energy absorption, have been considerably used in different engineering implementations. However, stiffness of porous structures reduces significantly, due to the internal cavities, by adding GPLs into porous medium, effective mechanical properties of the porous structure considerably enhance. This paper is relating to vibration analysis of fluidconveying cantilever porous graphene platelet reinforced (GPLR) pipe with fractional viscoelastic model resting on foundations. A dynamical model of cantilever porous GPLR pipes conveying fluid and resting on a foundation is proposed, and the vibration, natural frequencies and primary resonant of such a system are explored. The pipe body is considered to be composed of GPLR viscoelastic polymeric pipe with porosity in which Halpin-Tsai scheme in conjunction with the fractional viscoelastic model is used to govern the construction relation of nanocomposite pipe. Three different porosity distributions through the pipe thickness are introduced. The harmonic concentrated force is also applied to the pipe and the excitation frequency is close to the first natural frequency. The governing equation for transverse motions of the pipe is derived by the Hamilton principle and then discretized by the Galerkin procedure. In order to obtain the frequency-response equation, the differential equation is solved with the assumption of small displacement, damping coefficient, and excitation amplitude by the multiple scale method. A parametric sensitivity analysis is carried out to reveal the influence of different parameters, such as nanocomposite pipe properties, fluid velocity and nonlinear viscoelastic foundation coefficients, on the primary resonance and linear natural frequency. Results indicate that the GPLs weight fraction porosity coefficient, fractional derivative order and the retardation time have substantial influences on the dynamic response of the system.

Double-Blind Compact E-cash from Bilinear Map

        Jiyang Chen,Bin Lian,Yongjie Li,Jialin Cui,Ping Yu,Zhenyu Shu,Jili Tao 한국인터넷정보학회 2022 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.16 No.4

Compact E-cash is the first scheme which can withdraw 2l coins within (1) operations and then store them in ( ) bits. Because of its high efficiency, a lot of research has been carried out on its basis, but no previous research pay attention to the privacy of payees and in some cases, payees have the same privacy requirement as payers. We propose a double-blind compact E-cash scheme, which means that both the payer and the payee can keep anonymous while spending. In our scheme, the payer and the bank cannot determine whether the payees of two different transactions are the same one and connect the payee with transactions related to him, in this way, the privacy of the payee is protected. And our protocols disconnect the received coin from previous transaction, then, the coin can be transferred into an unspent coin which belongs to the payee. The proposed e-cash scheme is secure within y-DDHI and LRSW assumption.
