Metal-organic framework-based photodynamic combined immunotherapy against the distant development of triple-negative breast cancer

        Xiaoyan Liang,Min Mu,Bo Chen,Rangrang Fan,Haifeng Chen,Bingwen Zou,Bo Han,Gang Guo 한국생체재료학회 2023 생체재료학회지 Vol.27 No.00

Background Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive, metastatic and apparently drug-resistant subtype of breast cancer with a higher immune response compared to other types of breast cancer. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been gaining popularity for its non-invasive nature, minimal side effects, and spatiotemporally controlled benifits. The use of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) loaded with programmed death-ligand 1 inhibitors (iPD-L1) offers the possibility of combining PDT with immunotherapy. Method Here, we construct PCN-224, a MOFs with good biocompatibility and biodegradability for the delivery of the PD-L1 small molecule inhibitor BMS-202 to achieve a synergistic anti-tumor strategy of PDT and immunotherapy. Hyaluronic acid (HA) modified PEG (HA-PEG) was synthesized for the outer layer modification of the nanocomplex, which prolongs its systemic circulation time. Results In vitro cellular experiments show that the nanocomplexes irradiated by 660 nm laser has a strong ability to produce singlet oxygen, which effectively induce PDT. PDT with strong immunogenicity leads to tumor necrosis and apoptosis, and induces immunogenic cell death, which causes tumor cells to release danger associated molecular patterns. In combination with iPD-L1, the combination therapy stimulates dendritic cell maturation, promotes T-cell activation and intratumoral infiltration, and reshapes the tumor immune microenvironment to achieve tumor growth inhibition and anti-distant tumor progression. Conclusions MOFs-based nano-systems as a platform for combination therapy offer a potentially effective strategy for the treatment of TNBC with high metastatic rates.

On positive definite solutions of a class of nonlinear matrix equation

        Liang Fang,San-Yang Liu,Xiaoyan Yin 대한수학회 2018 대한수학회보 Vol.55 No.2

This paper is concerned with the positive definite solutions of the nonlinear matrix equation $X-A^{*}\bar{X}^{-1}A=Q$, where $A, Q$ are given complex matrices with $Q$ positive definite. We show that such a matrix equation always has a unique positive definite solution and if $A$ is nonsingular, it also has a unique negative definite solution. Moreover, based on Sherman-Morrison-Woodbury formula, we derive elegant relationships between solutions of $X-A^{*}\bar{X}^{-1}A=I$ and the well-studied standard nonlinear matrix equation $Y+B^{*}Y^{-1}B=Q$, where $B, Q$ are uniquely determined by $A$. Then several effective numerical algorithms for the unique positive definite solution of $X-A^{*}\bar{X}^{-1}A=Q$ with linear or quadratic convergence rate such as inverse-free fixed-point iteration, structure-preserving doubling algorithm, Newton algorithm are proposed. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of all the theoretical results and the behavior of the considered algorithms.

        ON THE NONLINEAR MATRIX EQUATION X + ∑m i=1 A iX−qAi = Q(0 < q 1)

        Xiaoyan Yin,Ruiping Wen,Liang Fang 대한수학회 2014 대한수학회보 Vol.51 No.3

In this paper, the nonlinear matrix equation X + m ∑ i=1 A∗ i X−qAi = Q (0 < q 1) is investigated. Some necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for the existence of positive definite solutions for the matrix equation are derived. Two iterative methods for the maximal positive definite solution are proposed. A perturbation estimate and an explicit expression for the condition number of the maximal positive definite solution are obtained. The theoretical results are illustrated by numerical examples.

Research on Constitutive Models and Hot Workability of As-Homogenized Al- Zn-Mg-Cu Alloy During Isothermal Compression

        Dan Xiao,Xiaoyan Peng,Xiaopeng Liang,Ying Deng,Guofu Xu,Zhimin Yin 대한금속·재료학회 2017 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.23 No.3

Hot compression tests of as-homogenized Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy were performed at the deformation temperaturerange of 350-450 °C and the strain rate range of 0.001-1 s-1. The Arrhenius-type constitutive equation and theAvrami-type model were established to predict the flow behaviors of the alloy respectively. The processing map atthe true strain of 0.92 was developed to evaluate the workability of the alloy and the related microstructures wereinvestigated. The results show that the Avrami-type model has a higher accuracy to predict flow stress than theArrhenius-type constitutive equation. The stable deformation occurs under high temperature or low strain ratemainly owing to the dynamic recrystallization. Flow instability is prone to occur under the condition of low temperatureand high strain rate due to the initiation and the propagation of micro-cracks. According to the processingmap and corresponding microstructure characteristics, the optimum processing parameters are in the temperaturerange of 380-405 °C and the strain rate range of 0.006-0.035 s-1.

        Cerium-loaded MnOx/attapulgite catalyst for the low-temperature NH3-selective catalytic reduction

        Aijuan Xie,Xingmeng Zhou,Xiaoyan Huang,Liang Ji,Wenting Zhou,Shiping Luo,Chao Yao 한국공업화학회 2017 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.49 No.-

A series of MnO2/attapulgite (ATP) and n(Ce):n(Mn)/ATP (molar ratios) catalysts were prepared andinvestigated for the selective catalytic reduction of NO by NH3 (NH3-SCR) at low temperature. The resultsshowed that the 7 wt % MnO2/ATP exhibited the best NOx conversion (85% at 300 C) among all MnO2/ATPcatalysts of different mass ratios. The introduction of cerium enhanced the NOx conversion at lowtemperature, and so Ce–MnOx/ATP can reach the highest NOx conversion (95% at 300 C). Meanwhile, theas-prepared catalysts were characterized by XRD, TEM, BET, H2-TPR, NH3-TPD, and XPS. It can be deducedfrom TEM, XRD, and BET, MnOx nanorods in this work mainly existed in the b-MnO2, and cerium highlydispersed on the surface of ATP to form porous structure and thus improved the deNOx performance. Moreover, the study of SO2 tolerance demonstrated that cerium can effectively inhibit SO2 poison. XPSresults illustrated that Ce could enhance Mn4+ content on the surface of the catalyst and thus lead to highSCR activity. Therefore Mn(1):Ce(0.25)/ATP was proved to be an excellent catalyst for NH3-SCR.

Characterization of Carbapenemase Genes in Enterobacteriaceae Species Exhibiting Decreased Susceptibility to Carbapenems in a University Hospital in Chongqing, China

        Yun Xia,Zhenzhen Liang,Xiaoyan Su,Ying Xiong 대한진단검사의학회 2012 Annals of Laboratory Medicine Vol.32 No.4

Background: Our study was to investigate the prevalence of carbapenemase genes in strains of Enterobacteriaceae species exhibiting decreased susceptibility to carbapenems in our hospital. Methods: The carbapenemase producing Enterobacteriaceae species were confirmed by modified Hodge test (MHT) and EDTA-disc synergy test which indicating the production of class B carbapenemases. PCR and sequencing analysis were used to identify the drugresistant genes. DNA fingerprinting based on enterobacterial repetitive intergenic consensus (ERIC)-PCR was applied to investigate the homology of Enterobacteriaceae species. Results: From a collection of 1,472 Enterobacteriaceae species, 18 isolates with decreased susceptibility to carbapenem treatment were identified and 9 of which were positive by MHT, and 6 of which produced class B carbapenemases. PCR and sequencing analysis of the 18 isolates revealed 4 different carbapenemase genes (blaIMP-8, blaoxa-1, blaIMP-26, and blaoxa-47) in 10 isolates, with the blaIMP-8 and blaoxa-1 genes being the most common (60-70% prevalence). ERIC-PCR showed 5, 2, and 2 unique genotypes for Enterobacter cloacae, Escherichia coli, and Klebsiella pneumoniae, respectively. Three E. coli strains isolated from different patients from the urologic surgery department exhibited the same DNA banding pattern, suggesting a possible clonal dissemination. Majority (17/18) of the carbapenem- unsusceptible Enterobacteriaceae species isolates was obtained from the surgery department of our hospital. Conclusions: The main carbapenemase genes of Enterobacteriaceae species in our hospital were blaIMP-8 and blaoxa-1. Prevalence of carbapenem resistance may be existed in surgery department and infection control should be taken for preventing further dissemination of drug-resistant strains. Acid-free epoxidation of soybean oil with hydrogen peroxide to epoxidized soybean oil over titanium silicalite-1 zeolite supported cadmium catalysts

        Lei Cai,Chao CHEN,Wenjun Wang,Xiu Gao,Xiaoyan Kuang,Yan Jiang,Liang Li,Guoqiang Wu 한국공업화학회 2020 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.91 No.-

Titanium silicalite-1 (TS-1) zeolite was successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method in the presenceof the tetrapropylammonium hydroxide (TPAOH) template, and a series of TS-1 supported cadmium withdifferent Cd loading (xCd/TS-1) catalysts were carefully prepared to produce epoxidized soybean oil(ESO) through the acid-free catalytic epoxidation of soybean oil (SO) with H2O2. These catalysts were fullycharacterized using various modern techniques and further evaluated systematically in this epoxidationreaction to understand the relationship between catalytic activity and structure of active components. The results show that the highly dispersed Cd species are introduced on the TS-1 support withoutaffecting the coordination environment of tetrahedral Ti (framework Ti). Furthermore, the Cd species arecoordinated with tetrahedral Ti species via O atom resulting in the weakness of the Ti–O bonds and facileattack of the Ti–O bonds by alcohol and H2O2, which can easily form thefive-membered intermediate andpromote the SO epoxidation process. Furthermore, the deactivation and regeneration behaviors of 2%Cd/TS-1 catalyst in SO epoxidation were also investigated, which reveal that the catalyst deactivation of cokedeposition is due to the strong adsorption of the catalysts and SO molecules. But the spent 2%Cd/TS-1 canbe completely regenerated by calcination method.

Passivation Layer of CdZnTe as Studied by Spectroscopic Ellipsometry

        Jianyong Teng,Wenbin Sang,Yue Lu,Yanyan Lou,Jiahua Min,Xiaoyan Liang,Kaifeng Qin,Yongbiao Qian 한국물리학회 2008 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.53 No.5

An oxidized layer was obtained on a cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) wafer by using chemical etching first in a KOH-KCl solution and then in an NH4F/H2O2 solution. The oxidized layer on the CZT obtained by using this method was analyzed by using ex-situ spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE) for the first time. In particular, the optical constants and the thickness of the chemical oxidized layer were obtained as functions of the oxidizing time.
