NoSQL 데이터베이스를 사용한 도로 교통 데이터 질의 처리 시스템의 구현

        Titus Irma Damaiyanti,Ardi Imawan,권준호,최윤호 한국정보과학회 2015 데이타베이스 연구 Vol.31 No.2

ITS (Intelligent transport system) offers a wide range of traffic information and services by integrating the IT-related high technology with transportation and facilities. By collecting road traffic data from various data sources such as road sensors and mobile phones, an ITS monitors the current road status of the urban area. However, when huge volumes of traffic data are collected, it is not efficient for a user to query road traffic data for finding similar traffic situation. To overcome this limitation, in this paper we propose a road traffic data query system which uses the MapReduce functionalities of NoSQL database. Raw road traffic data are converted into traffic matrices and stored into a MongoDB document database. Also, by computing a singluar value decomposition (SVD) from transformed traffic matrices and using the SVD, it is possible to query the road traffic data efficiently. We evaluate the efficiency of the proposed system by using the real road traffic data obtained from Busan metropolitan city.

Machine Learning and Statistical Approach to Predict and Analyze Wear Rates in Copper Surface Composites

        Titus Thankachan,K. Soorya Prakash,V. Kavimani,S. R. Silambarasan 대한금속·재료학회 2021 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.27 No.2

This research demonstrates the application of machine learning models and statistics methods in predicting and analyzingdry sliding wear rates on novel copper-based surface composites. Boron nitride particles of varying fractions was depositedexperimentally over the copper surface through friction stir processing. Experimental and statistical analysis proved thatthe presence of BN particles can reduce wear rate considerably. Analysis of worn-out surface revealed a mild adhesive wearduring low load condition and an abrasive mode of wear during higher load conditions. Artificial neural network based feedforward back propagation model with topology 4-7-1 was modeled and prediction profiles displayed good agreement withexperimental outcomes.

From Technocracy to Aristocracy: The Changing Career Paths of Japanese Politicians

Christopher Titus North 동아시아연구원 2005 Journal of East Asian Studies Vol.5 No.2

My study investigates whether there has been a relative decline in the position of the Japanese bureaucracy in their relationship with politicians in recent decades. My hypothesis is that the loss of bureaucratic influence has largely been a function of the declining position of former bureaucrats within the ruling Liberal Democrat Party (LDP), and that it has largely been politicians who were able to enter the Diet at a young age due to hereditary recruitment who have gained influence. Their ability to build up seniority has placed them at an advantage in promotion to key party and government posts due to the adoption of a seniority system of selecting cabinet ministers and party leaders. I use probit and logit analysis of LDP cabinet and Diet members (1955-2003) to demonstrate the decline of former bureaucrats within the LDP in terms of their overall numbers and their occupancy of key posts.

THE DETOUR MONOPHONIC GRPHOIDAL COVERING NUMBER OF A GRAPH

        P. TITUS,S. SANTHA KUMARI 장전수학회 2016 Proceedings of the Jangjeon mathematical society Vol.19 No.1

A chord of a path P is an edge joining two non-adjacent ver- tices of P. A path P is called a monophonic path if it is a chordless path. A path P is called a detour monophonic path in G if it is a longest mono- phonic path in G. A detour monophonic graphoidal cover of a graph G is a collection dm of detour monophonic paths in G such that every vertex of G is an internal vertex of at most one detour monophonic path in dm and every edge of G is in exactly one detour monophonic path in dm. The minimum cardinality of a detour monophonic graphoidal cover of G is called the detour monophonic graphoidal covering num- ber of G and is denoted by dm(G). We determine bounds for it and characterize graphs which realize the bounds. Also, we find the detour monophonic graphoidal covering number of unicyclic graphs.

Indigenous chicken production in Fiji Islands: knowledge, constraints and opportunities

Zindove, Titus Jairus,Bakare, Archibold Garikayi,Iji, Paul Ade Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2022 Animal Bioscience Vol.35 No.5

Objective: The objective of the study was to understand and document socio-economic characteristics, production parameters, challenges and management practices used by Fijian households which keep indigenous chickens. Methods: A survey involving 200 households was carried out in coastal and inland communities of Fiji's wet and semi-dry ecoregions. Data on the influence of ecoregion and location of households relative to the sea on management practices, challenges and productivity of indigenous chickens were analyzed using logistic regression and general linear model of SAS software. Results: Irrespective of location relative to the sea and ecoregion, households indicated that they kept indigenous chickens for food and income generation. The Welsummer was the most (p>0.05) preferred breed. Households in the semi-dry inland communities had the largest (p<0.05) flocks compared to those in semi-dry coastal communities and the wet region. Chickens in the semi-dry region performed better (p<0.05) than those in the wet region in terms of number of clutches per year and mature live weight. Predators and feed shortages were the biggest challenges faced by households in all areas. The mongoose was ranked as the most (p>0.05) common predator followed by domestic dogs. Most households in the wet ecoregion's coastal communities housed their chickens at night, whereas communities in semi-dry ecoregion housed their chickens most of the time (p<0.05). In all regions, no households sold their chickens to commercial markets (p>0.05). Households in semi-dry ecoregion were more likely (p>0.05) to sell their chickens at the local market place. Conclusion: The productivity of local chickens in Fiji is low because of feed shortage, predators such as the mongoose and lack of market linkages.

Prophetic Ways of Transmitting the Word of God

Joseph Titus 신학과사상학회 2015 가톨릭 신학과 사상 Vol.- No.76

This article titled “Prophetic Ways of Transmitting the Word of God” aims at expounding the role of the Israelite prophets in communicating the Word of God to the people of their times. The purpose of this venture is to draw insights from the prophets to communicate God’s Word to the people of our times. This article consists of three parts. The first part tries to show that by their vocation, Israelite prophets were regarded primarily as official recipients and transmitters of the Word of the Lord (Jer 1:2), for they hear and speak what the Lord has spoken to them (Isa 1:2; 6:8-10). This role of the prophets is very well brought out in Deut 18:18, wherein the Lord himself says: “I will put my words in the mouth of the prophet, who shall speak to them everything that I command.” This is why the people of Israel expected from the prophets the word (dabar), as they expected instruction (torah) from the priest and counsel (esah) from the wise (Jer 18:18). Therefore if there is no prophet in Israel, there would be “famine of hearing the Word of God” (Am 8:1). The second part discusses the manner in which the prophets carried out their ministry of the Word of God. God entrusted the prophets with his Word not to keep it to themselves but to transmit it to the people. The article argues that the prophets have attempted to perform their ministry of God’s Word through at least four modes, namely through their words, deeds, life and writings. First of all, the prophet is a man of the Word. Whatever he speaks is initiated by God. As he is God’s messenger, he begins always his speech in the divine first person: “Thus says the Lord.” Secondly, prophetic message is more than words. The prophets drama-tized their spoken word with symbolic action. A number of reports of symbolic action could be found in the prophetic literature. Thirdly, at times the very life of the prophets of the OT conveyed God’s Word to the people: the unhappy marriage of Hosea, the celibacy of Jeremiah, his exclusion from the Temple, the catalepsy of Ezekiel were still more eloquent than their words and symbolical actions. Finally the prophets transmitted God’s Word not only orally and by their very life, but also through writing scrolls. In its third part, the article explains the sufferings encountered by the prophets while delivering God’s Word. During their ministry, the prophets risked their reputations and their lives by challenging the accepted standards of society. Because of their suffering, at times, some of them felt the temptation to abandon their ministry. The article concludes by inviting us to appreciate the prophetic im-agination and creativity which they employed to adapt alternative means of communication in the ministry. In order to make a memorable impres-sion of God’s Word in the minds of our audience, we are invited to discern the most fitting model of transmission for the appropriate situation for our times.
